KB2503665 causes a blue screen of death during restart

I'm on a Samsung Q210 running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 and used to have automatic updates enabled. Yesterday after installation of updates, the PC crashed with a BSoD during boot. I used Safe Mode to uninstall the updates one by one, and I've identified KB2503665 to be causing the blue screen of death. I tried to contact Microsoft support, but for some reason any their site tells me my ID of the computer cannot be used in the country, I reside (although I am sure that the version of Vista and the serial number are 100% legit).

Is it possible to configure the automatic updates as it automatically excludes this update in the future?

Hello

1. What is the blue stop screen error message?

You can follow the methods below and see if it works very well.

Method 1

Step 1

You can temporarily disable the anti-virus.

Disable the antivirus software

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Step 2

You can try to download and install the update manually and see if it works very well.

http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=26275

Method 2

If the problem persists, you can auto hide the update.

(a) click Start, point to all programs, and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

(b) click on custom.

(c) click to uncheck the box next to the update you want to hide.

(d) develop the update you want to hide, and then click to clear the don't show this update again check.

(e) click on review and install the updates.

Apparently, the latest updates from MS caused problems and I had the blue screen of death during the start several times on my Pavilion p6610f desktop computer. Well, this is my fourth attempt at this announcement, I hope it will work this time.  Below are my answers to your questions.

    • What version of Windows you have installed on your computer?

I was running 7 Home Pro

    • Has your computer finished all his important updates from Windows?

The updates had been installed, which was when I started to have problems

I didn't have a chance to update anything after you restart MS. updates He immediately started crashing. I restarted three times and got a truncated blue screen every time, that's why I tried the recovery.

    • What is a current or recent problem?

He started just after the latest version of Windows update.

    • You are able to get an image from another monitor?

In general, I run two monitors (bothHP) via USB converter j5create JUA310, which I unplugged in case of conflict. It crashed with two configuration simple and double monitor. When I was running food, I had only the primary monitor upward.

In the meantime, I recommend that you follow this document on screen is blank after you start the computer. This should help with the display on your screen when you start first to the top of your computer.

  • Paviljoen dm1-3125ed: power adapter causes a blue screen of death

Regularly, I get a blue screen of death on my portable entertainment dm1 which is 4 years old now. After lots of research and the elimination of the possible causes, I discovered that the problem only occurs with the associated map. When I work on computer only battery seems fine. I replaced the power supply, but that has not solved the problem. Any ideas?

I have upgraded to Windows 10 some time ago and the problem seems to be resolved. Probably a driver problem which was solved by the upgrade.

  • Causing the Blue Screen of Death (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) wireless adapter

I had a Linksys WUSB600N Wireless-N USB adapter (dual band ver. 2) for a period of several months now, no problem, running on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.  So without any hardware or software changes (to my knowledge), have the adapter plugged during initialize causes my computer blue screen.  Unplug, Windows starts fine, but it will crash again in the same way once I plug the unit and it research networks.

I went to the Linksys site and downloaded the Windows 7 driver for the card (they have even one for as long as I was using Vista all this time), and that seems to help for a little bit.  For some reason any my computer not collapsed yet until I wait long enough after the departure to the top before plugging.  But it's about all or nothing.

It's the essence of the blue screen message (had to find somewhere else and copy it so not sure the numeric codes below):

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check that a new hardware or software is installed correctly. If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the windows updates, you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

I tried to start in safe mode, but it won't work without networking, so I wasn't able to learn something useful about the problem.  I don't have that much experience with technical problems, although I spent a good amount of time working on driver problems.  No help no matter who might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated.

I would say to uninstall KB977165 to see if that solves the problem.

  • CD/DVD drive, causing the Blue Screen of Death stop

Software from CD/DVD in my Dimension E510 desktop seems to be the dreaded blue screen shut downs - usually as a CD is ejected. The web page error analysis Windows that appears after that restart indicates the problem is caused by a resulting driver. It's the Sonic Digital Media software provided on the system, but sometimes when I run the program I get a warning message saying that the software is not an approved final version? I would like to uninstall the Sonic CD/DVD software which seems to be the cause of the problem and replace it. This will probably solve the problem of the "blue screen", and which would be a recommended CD/DVD operating system that would be compatible with my system. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Update caused Windows Blue Screen of Death. Suggested fix does not work.

In February, my Sony Vaio laptop has been updated automatically by Microsoft and now it does not start.  I followed all the instructions in this thread

but when I get to the point where I need to type some commands, uninstall, My Favorites keys displayed on the screen and I'm unable to type the codes or move forward.  As you can tell long time between when this problem occurred and that now, I gave up in frustration for a while but I simply could not live without my cell phone any longer and I'd rather not pay someone to fix this.  Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello subvertdonthurt,

All if suggestions published in the forum http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/#e9b28c45-635c-4adf-8d24-817bf39c207b do not work for you, do a restore of the system from the Recovery Console.

    Here's how:

Step i. access the recovery by using the OS CD console. As already suggested, you must have your OS CD to repair. (Or the image that you created the instructions above).

To run the Recovery Console from the startup of Windows XP or the Windows XP CD-ROM diskettes, follow these steps:

Insert the diskette of starting Windows XP in the floppy drive, or insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.
Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console and follow the process until you get to the recovery console command prompt.screen.

STAGE II. At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines (in blue), and then press ENTER after.

1 cd-(Note: between "cd" and "------" there should be an 'empty space' or still command does not work)
    2 cd system ~ 1\_resto ~ 1

If it gives an error "Access denied" when accessing the folder, follow the method below

    CD.
    CD windows\system32\config
    ren system system.bak
    output

Restart the computer, and then follow step I.

    3 dir

When you hit it will list all records of points of restoration as rp1, rp2... we see the last restore point to copy the file from a recent backup. If the restore points have more than one page, then you keep pressing the key to display the last restore point folder. Use the other to the last restore point. (the last restore point is maybe damaged)

4 cd rp {the next to the last restore point only.} (Note: example: cd rp9, if rp9 is the next to the last restore, point where the last restore point n = 9)

    5 cd snapshot

Now, the command prompt will look like this c:\system~1\_resto~1\rp9\snapshot > ( Note: restore point 9A assumed for the clarity of the content, you must go to the next to the last restore point folder, as described in the previous lines) now according to the error message to copy the appropriate file in the restore point folder.

    6 copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system
    7. Type Exit, and then press ENTER.

    I hope this helps.

  • Skype causes Blue Screen of Death after a while in a call.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with my Skype where it will make my computer BSOD after a while in a call, it only occurs during Skype calls, not during other communications programs of voice as the voice of steam call and the blue screen is more likely to happen when I'm in Firefox.

The blue screen error I get is "clock interrupt was not receieved a secondary processor in the time interval allowed."

    Any help would be appreciated.

I did clean install applicable drivers and even tried to Exchange pieces of equipment (including the negotiation on an old CPU and RAM value) and no change.

Fortunately, a solution to the problem, which has been swicthing on Google Hangouts. They work much better because there is no decrease in performance, even streaming, has more features and does not cause a blue screen after a couple of hours.

  • More recent Microsoft Update caused 'blue screen of death '. screenshots included, HELP Please!

Hi, I am running Vista on an Acer Aspire M3641 and I had no problem since buying it there, until the other day, it's about 8 months.
2/3 days ago I updated my computer with the latest Microsoft Update before closing down, went to my friends house, came back, the machine and my computer crashed at turn on. The blue screen of death appears literally for a second or 2:

Then, a message called error recovery Windows appears, he gives me the possibility of either start Windows normally (which comes to restart the computer) or launch a startup repair.
Upon the choice of startup, waiting a few minutes ago the repair, then the messege "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically" and he asked then whether or not he wants me to send information about the problem or not that he won't let me not do anyway, but it allows me to open a window called the details of the problem :
