keep only video used in the project

I have a feature documentary film that is getting prepared for the color adjustment. The source clips are prores422 HQ. There are approximately 19TBs of the sequences contained in two boxes of OWC. TB 19 obviously all are not concerned with the final sequence, and I wish I had a smaller drive, prepared for the grade. Is it possible to "collect" ' only the clips that are involved in my calendar and copy the files to a new disc source?

Thank you.

You can use the project manager to reproduce the sequence in a new folder, including only the images; Everything will be in a folder, you can then export your EDL from the new project file and send the colorist the entire folder.

  • Is it possible to publish the. SWF (not MP4) of Captivate 7 while creating a video demo of the project?

    Hi all

I'm upgradiing to Adobe Captivate 7. The previous version, I used was in Captivate 4.

I found a new feature (demo) in the latest version of Captivate 7 which generates a MP4 video output, when the project is published. The feature folders exactly as I want.

Unfortunately, video MP4 does not help me. I need a SWF file to place in my LMS.

Is it possible to get a SWF output using the same function (demo)?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Videos "used" to the list of projects?

Any way to show the 'Video user X times' feature, which is available in the video icon in the list?

I know that you can see this information listed for the clip selected (using the preview area), but I want to watch a tray of 100 clips and be able to quickly take a clip that has not been used. Currently I have to go through one at a time in list view or go to the icon view, but then I don't see any of my meta data, that is also vital to take the tie on the right.

Is no reason why it should not be available as a column in the list?

metadata "use of video" works?  can activate this column by clicking on one of the columns and choice of display of the metadata.  use of the video is in the category of the first pro project metadata.

  • How I can do it then when I delete a project, it will remove videos associated with the project.

    Hello

I recenty used my 1 TB of storage on my Macbook Pro, and I was looking for in what has been the cause of this. I realized that about 700 GB because of videos on final cut. Knowing this, I saved all my videos and decided to remove the oldest, but keep the new. I checked my storage, and nothing has changed. I realized, the application was not delete videos, but rather delete just how clips have been published. He always kept the full video. So what I request is, is anyway that I can make sure when I delete a project, it will remove all the (video) content, associated with this project? Also, is there anyway that I could delete the video projects I already deleted?

All depends on how you store your media, be it inside the library or outside the library. If internal sound then the best way to proceed is to organize your material in events as well as your project. When you delete events associated with the project, media in events are deleted as well.

  • How to locate where the shared Variables are used in the project.

I'm looking everywhere where a shared Variable is used in my project. Right-clicking does not provide a find. The display hierarchy does not help. In the Project Explorer, the appellants find displays only the names of the screw called, not the many places where the call is made.

Does anyone know how to find the location where a shared Variable is used?

Edit-> find and replace. For "Select object" click and access features-> Structures-> shared Variable.

  • Changing the file names of the photos used in the projects final cut express

HI, I have a lot of pictures that I've used in some express HD projects final cuts.

File names are not descriptive file name convention, but just standard camera. I want to add descriptive names, which will come out in the finder, but I don't want to damage the projects that I have created. I guess I could change one by one and tell the system where each file. But is there a better way? Thank you!!

If you change the names in the Finder, all clips in your projects will lose the path of the file and you will have to redo the link.

Changing names within the CTF will work OK but will not appear in the Finder, probably it will not work for you.

I suggest you set the browser to display a miniature clip of the photo, that is maybe a solution to easily identify clips.

  • Why filtering by "unused" shows the files that are used in the project?

Above the list of clips, I choose 'unused '.  I thought that this would be a practical way to show me the files I can delete the library because they are not used.  The thing is, I select this option, I see it shows me files that are certainly in use on the timeline, then what's the point of this?  How can I show actually files that are not used and as long as I can safely remove?

It shows the unused portions of clips. If you want to remove a clip that has any items used in a project, you're better activation of the clipping indicator used. Any clip with an orange bar has been used.

  • video scaling of the project

I started my first project in creation.

I see in the preview window when I type ctrl ~ and watch the video it is in full screen mode from edge to edge. When I drag and drop the video into the scale of time/project I'm doing the same full screen, but reading is not the same. He plays on the scale of 75ish %, not edge aka. I have yet to finish the project. Is there a way I can go to the first clip and set the properties of what I'm looking for?

To change the settings of the sequence:

Select the sequence and go to settings, set Custom edit mode, now you can change all the settings.

  • Show clips used in the project window

Is there a way to show what clips are already placed in a timeline in the project window?

This would help eliminate pliers twice.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Aloha

There is the field of use. It will show you how many times the clisp has been used.

I don't think that there is a way to have it also refer to the sequence in which it was used.

  • Looking for ideas of navigation... clarify the terminology used in the project

Hi people... looking for some ideas for my Captivate 5 projects navigation.

I have a project which is executed automatically, which means it does not require the participant to click on previous/next buttons to proceed with the project. I display the standard navigation in skin buttons, however. I use also the voice-over to tell the whole project. On several slides I use specific terms or concepts that the participant may want to get more information on the... which I am more than willing to provide.

What I would like to know many of you seasoned users of Captivate is how you would allow participants to get more information about a specific term / concept presented as underlined text in slide balls without interrupting the flow of the entire project. I thought to use click boxes that send them to another page (branching) and then provide them with a button that we continue them with the project from there. I also considered to use overview legends, too, but if they don't find the bearing before the slide advances, they miss the opportunity to ride on this point. I'm not a big fan of prompting the participant about the existence of the bearings,... I just use underlined text indicating a "hyperlink" so-to-speak.

Anyone have some creative ways to this address?

    Hello

Now, you will know that I prefer screenshots: you can easily duplicate a total script (see yellow highlighted button), perhaps it is better to change the default name of the script in double. ATTENTION: each object has the correct ID, in this case, it's the text caption (I've marked it ExplanationTC), so you will have to change.

  • noobie: configuration of the video input of the project?

A noobie question: setting up a project always throws me since I have unusual videos sizes of graphics that I use as art films - so less standards. Simple, I want to take a video of art existing I have done (computer graphics), get it to the CS6 Pro first, make a few changes, in this case just speed upward and export it réécrirait in the same format/size/specs. Is it possible that I can have the configuration of a project inspired by the video input. Or an easy way to get the exact specifications of good project for the first based on the video input that I have. My video is a mpeg4 is 1440 x 1080 to 25 images dry with no sound. Any help is appreciated.

    -steve

One of your 1440 x 1080 25 fps clips drag and drop on the "New item" icon

or right click on one of the clips and select "new sequence of the Clip.

This will create a properly configured sequence that corresponds to the ratio of aspect and fps of your clip.

  • on some Web pages only you use firefox, the display text is sometimes glitched.

OK, sometimes the text is glitched on Web pages. and if you highlight the text messed up it will be instantly normal. also have the most updated drivers. and this only happens with firefox.

Hello trentenmarschel, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • Keep only 1 copy of the original doc

    Hi all

I use ecm11g, when I check in a doc in ecm, this doc will be saved under vault directory weblayout, it wastes space on my drive, I can configure ecm to save only 1 copy?

    Best regards

    Hello

Yes, you can do this by using the file store provider component. With the component, you can set up the content checking in need to be based on files with Webless type which means that content will be only placed in the directory of the vault and not Weblayout.

Additional documentation is available on the otn.oracle.com of the Complutense University of MADRID - the system administrator's Guide.

    I hope this helps.
