Keeps freezing Mouse
I have the same problem as Obxmom. Mine started too just after a recent update. You mentioned in your answer something to update your mouse. How can I do to make it. The brand is Labtec. Thanks for your help.
Hello

All the mice seem to use the default Windows drivers and no driver extra to offer.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html
For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.
Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.
Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)
Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.
Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.
Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Wired Optical mouse keeps freezing & has no lights
My wired microsoft optical mouse keeps freezing & the red light turns off. At present, it will work only after first off the entire computer & its reboot. However it only works for a few minutes. This may be due to my 3 year old grandson disabled showing a lot of interest with small fingers in the below & red lights this afternoon. Bless! Suggestions please?
If it flashes on and outside and dies at random... you probably need a new mouse.
Don't know what has been rough on me pointing out what is obvious. Direct - Yes. Probably what you end up doing - Yes. Rude - I can't.
So, if I remember, the most expensive computer mouse was about $ 25,000 - yours is * definitely * an inexpensive mouse. ;-)
If you want to try something before replace you... Try the mouse on another computer for a few days - it has the same difficulty? If the answer is Yes - replace it. If not - you probably been--but try a Different mouse on the computer in question. Does show the same symptoms? If so, chances are two things (the latter is more likely): 1) issue software - install the latest motherboard chipset drivers. (2) USB port bad equipment - try a different USB port and/or get your motherboard extracted for hardware failure.

Why my (wired) laser mouse keeps freezing every 2-5 seconds and then turns off?
I use Windows XP Professional SP3, and my (Genius NetScroll G500, USB) mouse keeps freezing every 2-5 seconds, until he "dies" (I can't move or something, it's like off). Sometimes, it works normally, sometimes doesn't. I don't really know what causes to keep freezing. This problem does not occur on Linux for now. I download the new updates, but I do not expect any kind of positive results, so please do not respond with driver update. Could you please tell me what to do to fix it properly? Note that the mouse is brand new, bought today.
EDIT: It seems that Safe Mode fails.
Hello
I suggest you to connect the mouse to another computer if possible, and check if the same problem occurs, this is just to check if it is the problem with the mouse.

Ensure that your data is backed up / copied to external media. It seems that your PC has a hardware problem. If it's a name brand PC, for example Dell / HP etc it may have preinstalled utility test read the manual or manufacturer's web site
If it's a generic PC, then your machine to HD will have a free test bootable utility, for example SeaTools from Seagate

Hello
This problem may be caused by a touchpad setting which is intended to avoid any accidental activation - for example if your Palm brush the touchpad when typing.
You can change this as follows.
Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons". In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.
The hardware/software version will depend on real option that you're looking for (see the example below), but it is usually called 'check' Palm or Smart Sense'-disable this function and apply the changes.

My macbook pro (early 2015) has been working great until about a week ago. It started freezing and now it done very often. IM do not receive a beachball, the mouse pointer remains the same. Im having to restart it manually each time by holding down the power button. This problem began only after I have updated to the version OS X EL capitan 10.11.4. 80 GB of free space so I don't think it's a problem.
All solutions?
Thank you
I had this problem too, like many other people (there is several messages and discussions already). Seems to happen more often with Mac in 2015.
There is nothing to do. I tried a clean install of El Capitan with full SSD erased and 10.11.4 combo update, it did not help; my macbook pro 13 2015 keeps freezing with Safari.
It is related to Safari or a framework/driver related to the browser.
Apple has to fix. Just use Firefox or Chrome.

Satellite L450D keeps freezing randomly
Hello
I recently bought a L450D refurbished: Win 7 64 bit, 4 GB ram, 2.1 Ghz AMD dual core, it works much faster than my Toshiba 1 year anyway.
The problem is, it keeps freezing randomly. When this happens the screen looks like the picture in the link, mouse and keyboard are completely insensitive, but I left it and the battery is flat it beep?
So far I've only updated windows, it is the partition of Toshiba hard disk but f8 during the startup does not seem to do anything and when I tried to write the recovery disc it burned but said unable to end of file during the verification step.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you

Mobile on the photo looks like a problem with a graphics chip.
Maybe the laptop freezes because of the high temperature of the GPU. What do you think that?
Have you noticed a higher temperature?
If Yes, try to clean the cooling fans using a jet of compressed air you should also try an update of the display.

13 satellite L50D-B-q: Touchpad keeps freezing
I bought the laptop above for my wife a little more than a month, and after a few days the touchpad keeps freezing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. (currently using an external mouse via USB).
I tried f5 and f9, but they do not seem to make a big difference. I also downloaded a driver recommended on another forum somewhere, and that seems to work for a week or two. Now, we're back to square one.
This cannot be good for a new laptop. I have not upgraded to Windows 10 and we do not anticipate doing soon.
Any help appreciated. The Toshiba page had a guide on turning off, take the battery out and do something with the BIOS, but I don't see how I can take out the battery unscrewing bitless and I don't want to do that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
GI have the same problem with the touchpath. Luckely I still have an old mouse, so I am able to restart the computer.

My Dell Inspiron 15R keeps freezing now after 15-30 minutes?
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R a couple of months and now it keeps freezing after about 15-30 minutes. I can't do anything while it is frozen even not Ctr + Alt + Delete or move my mouse. It gets really frustrating because I always manually close my laptop. I scanned with Malwarebytes and security Eset, but Malware bytes is not found and I'm never able to complete the scan with Eset as my laptop freezes during this period. I checked the logs that Eset had done since my last scan and it said it deleted 5 threats it found, but my laptop still keeps freezing. I also tried the automatic "Microsoft Let Me Fixit" but he could not find anything. Please help I need an answer because I can't deal with this more!
