Kernel - damaged memory panic?

Hello everyone,

I really hope that anyone of you could help me with my problem.

I bought a Macbook Pro 13 inch, 2012 model (the non-retine which still exists today) and then upgraded with a Samsung 840 EVO SSD and 16 GB of "CT2C8G3S160BMCEU Crucial."

It worked fine for over a year, but recently, I am getting breaks down on a basis that is irregular, sometimes just after starting, sometimes in the workplace...

This is the last report of the accident:

The only information of this report, it is that the blocked process is named "launchd". However, sometimes his "mdworker', 'spotify' and many others...

Can someone tell me if there is a suspicion that could help me to solve my problem?

  • RAM Mac pro 1.1 detects only not all after kernel panic

    Hello

my mac pro 1.1, 2 x 3.0 Ghz quad core, ram 24 GB os x 1.7.5 just had a kernel panic and stop, after being on for 12 plus hours for most sitting idle. When I restarted the mac pro, now he is grateful only 12 GB of ram on a lift and another elevator shows empty, the DIMMs are installed in mounting a 4gb4gb2gb 2 GB, riser board b = 4gb4gb2gb2gb =, are all matched pairs. all the ram has been installed and functional for the 7-8 months without any problem. This is the first time my mac has never stop from a kernel by itself, panic and he never failed to see half of the ram before, in fact it worked great for quite some time so far. I don't know what is happening and I hope someone can help me get this figured out and find a solution to this problem, thanks in advance.

    Bill

    You have a RAM failure.

The Mac Pro features help Error correction Code RAM with hardware integrated with its Xeon processor. The Mac Pro 1.1 uses FBDIMM who get hot and do not have a long life expectancy. Work for 7-8 months does not work tomorrow.

The error correction is used aggressively at the start, and all DIMM found to have errors during the Power-On Self Test brief execution have their slots declared 'empty '. This isn't an anomaly, these modules DIMM turns out to be BAD.

If these modules DIMM is stickers from the seller, you can get replaced them under warranty of the seller.

The kernel panic, you met just might be part of the same problem. You can find the report and review it and post it if you want.

  • Kernel memory

    What is kernel memory?

    Hello

It depends on what you mean there are has several definitions of a core with regard to computing.

For example, the kernel itself is the core part of the operating system because it manages the i/o requests and translates them to the CPU and other components of the system.

And then there are kernel memory that is part of the total memory that is devoted to the process of the operating system. Total memory consists of RAM and virtual memory. Expanded memory is the virtual memory type dedicated to the kernel and then there are the nonpaged memory dedicated to the kernel into RAM.

Paged and nonpaged values vary as kernel processes are constantly moved virtual memory to the RAM. It is important to remember.

There are also of the kernel images memory, which is one of the few types of dump files that can be generated on an accident. A dump of memory kernel contains all the information that has been used by the kernel at the time of the accident and therefore provides more information than a Minidump, but also ultimately less than a landfill full of memory.

    Kind regards

    Patrick

  • How to stop paging of kernel?

I am trying to stop Vista Home Premium 64 of paging memory kernel and, instead, load all the drivers of the nucleus in physical memory.

Most of the articles point to the "DisablePagingExecutive" key in the registry to do this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184419), but the States KB which is not for Vista.  I tried, but it did not work.  The 'Performance' of the Task Manager tab will continue to display the kernel with about 200 MB memory paged and 100 nonpaged memory.

Can someone tell me how to get Vista Home Premium 64 to load the kernel ONLY memory into physical memory?
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

    Hi CUFirebird,

The only "problem" I have found for this problem is the same one you referenced.  You can get a better answer to your question on the Technet site.  It is oriented towards developers and information technology professionals.

  • Question about several popular vm with the same kernel version

So, I have been informed that ESX is smart enough for to run several virtual machines with the exact same kernel that it loads only one instance of the kernel in memory for all of them so that it saves space in RAM. This seems quite remarkable to me, and I'd like to see if VMWare has any white papers or other documents on this. I'd like to believe it's true, but it seems incredible to believe.

Is this really how ESX functions? If I have 10 XP SP3 machines with the same level and exact same version of the kernel patch, VMWware won't really load only one instance of the core XP in RAM to separate the 10 machines? If he does that, how handles when 10 machines all want access to the same statement in kernel mode at the same time separate?

Welcoem to the Forums - ESX will actually 10 instances of the core of the customer even if they are the same OS - but once loaded using Transparent Page Sharing the vmkernel (the o/s of the ESX Server) can recognize identical pages and store them a time-read only memory - if the virtual machine tries to write to that page a copy and writing is done - if this new page is another page in memory that one instance is maintained. This saves a TON of memory-

  • iMac crashing every day, why?

Quite frustrated as to why my iMac (early 2009) crashes all day, sometimes twice a day. Here are the technical details:

    Using OS X vs 10.8.5

Processor - 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 duo

    Memory - 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 512 MB

I read that the upgrade of the OS would be useful, but I use Adobe PS CS5 daily and can't afford to risk having problems help

This software. I can't afford (financially) to buy a new computer at the moment and would prefer not to use cloud software.

In addition, bearing in mind that it might be a problem of memory, when I use PS or Firefox, I try not to use both

at the same time, but even that is not serious. And it seems to happen when you use the program, not one or the other.

Maybe I should stop using Firefox for a while and go to Safari? Maybe this would help?

Finally, is it possible just to upgrade to a newer version (compatible w / PS CS5) without having to go to El Capitan?

    Any suggestions out there?

    Thank you in advance ~

Towards the end of July 2016 my MacBook (13-inch, aluminum, Late 2008) with OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 version (15F34) and 256 GB Solid State SATA drive began to break each time exactly one hour after, he turned. First, I assumed it was due to bad battery because I have not changed it since I bought the computer. I bought a new battery, but it did not help. I ran using disc using disk utility, and it found no errors. The accident starts with the freezing system and round Rainbow rotation pivoting for several seconds. Then, the system and application partially crash or in most cases, the system locks and the screen goes black. After I restart the computer, the system runs again normally within 60 minutes exactly, and then it crashes again. I found the article with the similar problem where the software Cocktail caused this problem, but I don't remember to set everything up. Help, please!

  • iMac 27 "end 2013 - random stop

My iMac 27 "end of 2013 - have this problem to stop randomly, as power chord is out... randomly. I only can he start by plugging the power cable and wait for 5 minutes and then restarting it.

When I explored the forum it seems the problem until 2010, it is a shame that the problem persists on a such expensive iMac after all these years and apple is unable to provide a definitive solution.

My machine is less than a year, still under warranty, also under Apple Care, it took twice to the service center, here is the chronology of the events:

-They have reset the SMC, PRAM, re-installed OS during the first visit, the problem persisted

-Spent an hour on the phone support, yet once done a web-installation of the operating system, left ElCapitan to Yosemite, the problem persisted

-Took it once again, they have replaced the main Board... the problem still persists

I have read many theories online but no final solution. Here are some of the theories about what I found:
-RAM 16 GB the origin of the problem... but mine is 8 GB

-All slots of RAM is full... but mine has only 2 slots filled

-It happens that the i7... but mine is a machine of i5

-Could be because of the UPS, not having is not a good sinusoidal signal... wondering how to properly test it!

Someone has encountered this problem and solved definitely... Please help, as I am losing confidence with the ability to engineer Apple to fix it... Wow! This seems strange, isn't it, most innovative and most valuable world company is unable to fix a common issue that many customers are faced with... and we lose confidence with them.

I am in Bangalore in India, also need to check on the rights of consumers on this, any entries on this help because I think I deserve a replacement for the defective product. If it was the United States, if it is a lemon (take to solve the same problem 3 times)... even the cars is not replaced. Wonder how this works here. The lawyers on this forum?

  • 8.1 MBP crashes (once a week) - help me find the problem

    I have a MacBook Pro 8.1 (end of 2011). I am running 10.11.3.

I had changed to a (Crucial MX100) SSD HARD drive, more RAM and a new map of the airport. I reinstalled the operating system. The accidents occur both before and after that the new hardware has been installed

There are standard procedures I need to do? Can someone point me in the right direction to find the problem?

    Thanks a million in advance

Please show us a log of the accident or multiple failures Mac OS X: how to connect to a kernel - Support Apple panic so that we can get a clue and perhaps offer advice of soma

Accidents or kernel panics occur when the machine runs into an error, it can not overcome and forces a stop down. This can be the result of hardware and software.

Please try and note what programs you have open or what you have to do on the machine when it crashes. For example: your machine crashes whenever you use firefox (the browser), and then use safari or chrome and see if the kernel panic stop.

    I hope this helps!
