• CS6 inDesign crashing just after startup

  We had a problem with one of our InDesign CS6 users, I feel that we have tried to implement everything. I will list them for reference:

  • InDesign CS6 uninstall through the standard "uninstall a program".
  • Uninstalling InDesign CS6 and by using the 'AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool '.
  • Tried to install using different disks.
  • Tried the update of the program (a few times he has shown there is no update).
  • Tried to delete the startup scripts and the removal of preferences.
  • Tried with a profile of charge on PC users.
  • Used several PC to test it with various different user accounts.
  • In the end we suffered just the hard drive clean, a completely new installation of windows 7, still no joy.

  The only way that we can get this to work and not fall down just after commissioning is to give the user administrative rights, which for obvious reasons, is not an option for us.

  Hi Peter,.

  It seems that I finally found a solution! One of my colleagues sent me so I thought I share it incase others have the same problem.

  Here are the steps I took to make it work.

  1. create a folder on the root of C, as C:\UserTemp

  2. give users the rights to modify on the file that you created.

  3. run the following commandlines for each user change their folder and tmp %% hemins (need to be registered as a user):

  A. setx.exe TEMP C:\UserTemp

  B. setx.exe TMP C:\UserTemp

  Basically, what this does is create a new TEMP folder where the user can get full access too, without having administrative rights. I was told that it works for all applications of CS6 not just InDesign.

  Hope this can help someone else in the future and thanks for your help on this stone, troubleshooting.

  Acrobat crashing on launch more likely seems to be a problem with the license.

  Try the following steps:

  Delete all the files in the following folders:

  C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

  And delete all of the following except cache.db file

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ Adobe PCD

  Product launch and activate with serial number again and check.

  I have problem with PrPro CS5 HUUUGE.

  I have the project file - a lot of work is already done, but a lot of more to do.

  When I try to open my project file, it loads very well. But then when he takes over all the media files (bottom left) just when I get message 'charge of all media' application crashes.

  I found information that drivers older NVIDIA is perhaps the question but unfortunately new driver isn't helping.

  I also foundd service VST plug-in is problem - how to disable in PrPro?

  Whats strange I have other projcet with the same type of video files saved in the DSLR and they do very well. But this project is much larger.

  I often had a problem with breaking of PrPro when importing video to project - files sometimes I had to try several times to get there (crash otherwise) but subsequent project has worked, but this time it is not. I don't know is it connected with the wafter accidents of loading multimedia files, but I think it is.

  Date limit on Sunday and has already spent more than 4 hours instead of work trying to find the solution... This situation makes me broken - really.

  Glad to hear! I suspect that it's probably not the medium itself, but the cache files that are created as a result of the importation of the media. If you remove all of the PEK, CFA and all other cache files that are associated with the media while your project is closed, and then reopen the project and leave the files in cache, you might be OK. The media cache files and database can flake, apparently at random and cause problems like the ones you describe.

  I've got Id and Adobe Reader Pro XI works very well on the CC, but Photoshop crashes whenever I open it.

  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, signing of CC and update my graphics card. So far, no joy. I'm kinda a noob to all this, so bear with me if this is a simple mistake.

  I would appreciate really any assistance - as the online online help chat redirects me to call the hotline and call the helpline cannot be done at the Office of the hours... when I'm in a work desk! Gah.

  My computer is running Windows 7, with an ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics card. Now updated. Almost 5 GB of RAM and 1 GB dedicated graphics card, then that should be OK.

  For school I have to use Illustrator so I installed the trial, but everytime I run the program it closes just immediately once it is open. No error message what-so-ever. Just, it opens and closes.

  It was installed on a clean pc, just bought myself a new pc. I tried many things such as:

  -Reinstall

  -updates of pilot (who were already up to date)

  -take a break from my anti-virus

  -internet disableing

  -disableing my graphics adapter

  -put an additional file as one of the internet solutions proposed on this one.

  -J' lived almost every solution I could find on the net.

  I'm working on a Windows 8.1 with a GTX880M graphics card. And all the other Adobe products, I've tried work: Photoshop and first

  There was one thing that I did not try, for those still getting this problem: 'go to 'C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore'. Note that "C:\ProgramData" is hidden, you should see and exploit the hidden files. Move the SLStore and SLCache folders to another location. If you believe that there is no problem, you can delete the files that you moved. »

  I apologize if this has been asked before, I looked and could not find it listed anywhere.

  Two weeks ago my Intel iMac hard drive crashed hard, and now I had to reinstall all my software on a new drive. Everything works fine, except Acrobat 8 Pro. I got the program installed on my hard drive before the accident, and it worked flawlessly for several years, but now, when I boot Acrobat until you get the standard window of "Getting started with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional", but after a few seconds, the program crashes. I used the 'Acrobat Uninstaller' software to uninstall the software, then did a complete reinstall of it, but every time it remains blocks - I perform this procedure 4 - 5 times to this point, and I can't solve it yet. It does if I install it on the boot disk, or own space external hard drive. Apple disk utility gives the two discs a good health certificate when I run "repair disk" and "repair permissions".

  I hope someone can help me with this problem. The error report window does not have the "copy" command to use, and it would take screenshots of 10 or more to be able to include the content of it. I'm not hoping someone has the magic answer for me, I NEED my Acrobat to work right now, in the midst of a period of design.

  If it is to put your work to a stand still, then try a new installation of the operating system. Who got to work and you will be able to start again. It is a chore, but should do the trick.

  As of today, I suddenly have problems with my Skype program. Once I open the program and connect to my Skype account crashes. I tried to find solutions, but there is very little to find on the subject.

• the latest version of ff loaded 10.1 - it crashes just after the painting of the screen. error is "stopped communicating with windows.

  He worked thereafter. Troubleshooting extensions and themes had instructions titled for XP. The path to the menu for Firefox is a little different for 10.1 rel. It could be updated to the new version.

  Options, Options, advanced, general tab, disable hardware acceleration.

  It finally worked. If there was a fake "Firefox unresponsive message." I was (not) moving pretty fast so the "not responding" message went away and things started working.

  I am very happy because I had loaded Chrome in the meantime and Chrome is NOT Firefox. And I'm positively allergic to IE.

• Premiere Pro CS6 crashes immediately after opening

  So, I recently installed the Adobe Production Premium Suite for Windows 7. I installed all the updates and everything worked well. Then a month ago, I went to edit in Photoshop CS6 and it crashed just after importing the files. So just out of curiosity broke down when opening anything in the suite, After Effects, first, etc. So I uninstalled, reinstalled and downloaded all the updates and everything worked very well. Now this nastly little problem has arisin once again. Illustrator and Photoshop seem to work, I can load files, edit, save, restore, etc.. But Premiere and After Effects won't start.   Unable to launch fully is often related to the video driver. I'd go to AMD/ATI, check your video driver installed. If not the most recent, then download and install it.
