KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR Windows 8

About 4 days ago I started having the dreaded BSOD. The error I get is KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. I get the error very often, and that's annoying, while I'm doing projects. Here's what I got from BlueScreenView:

Thank you

Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand that you are getting the blue screen of death on your system Windows 8.

The KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP error code: 0x0000007A indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file cannot be read into memory. It could have happened due to graphics card drivers.

I suggest you follow these methods to solve the problem related to the error message and check.

Method 1:

I suggest to update the graphics drivers and check for the issue.

Follow these steps to update the graphics drivers.

a. press the Windows key + X , and then select Device Manager.

b. search for graphics cards and expand it.

c. right-click on the display driver and select Update driver software.

Method 2:

I suggest you to check and install all the latest Windows updates.

Follow these steps.

a. press the Windows key + W and type Windows updates.

b. Select Check for Updates which will display a list of all the recent updates, those who must be installed on the computer, and then you can install them.

c. press the Windows key + W and type Windows updates.

d. Select install optional updates , then the updates.

e. now wait for a while when Windows checks for the latest updates for your PC.

f. If updates are found, tap or click install updates.

Method 3:

I suggest you to use the Microsoft Security scanner for the show and check.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to fix this sector, all available on which data may be lost

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need any other help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help you.

Hi Microsoft community. The laptop that I use an Asus F501A with Windows 8 (not 8.1 as the download of the update always gives an error), randomly gives a BSOD with a "kernel_data_inpage_error". When people ask me to use chkdsk I do, but the problem is still there.

  • BSOD Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error, now after the upgrade to Windows 8.1, computer laptop keeps auto restart

Original title: Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error on Windows 8.

    Hello
A few days ago my laptop continued to restart on its own, turning to a blue screen with a message saying: "Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error". Given that this happened that the sound no longer works on my laptop, I tried to update my laptop to Windows 8.1 to see if that could help solve the problem, but when he started to install my laptop itself restarted each time.
Do you know what I can do to fix this?

Please get back to me on that.
    Thank you.

    Mitch

    It works

First thing.  I would update to win 8.1 when you have solved the problem

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.

  • Windows 8 Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error

When I try to load something, I have the blue screen saying kernel_data_inpage_error. I don't know how to fix it. He began to arrive there after playing a game of 3 days, and it wouldn't let me system restore on a particular date. He said the: C drive is corrupt. I used Windows Security Manager to run a full scan and I had it running for two days and it never, and quick scans say that there is no problem. I have chkdsk and when I have to restart the computer because the volume used, when restarting it never starts the chkdsk.

A new laptop? Laughing out loud

If the laptop is under warranty, send it to the manufacturer.

If it is not under warranty, open the laptop and remove the disc. When you buy a new drive, you just install it in place of the old.

  • Frequent KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7A) on Windows 8 x 64, strangely the error status is 0000000000000000

Need help diagnosis and setting a seemingly random BSOD on my laptop Windows 8, an ASUS X202E with touch screen.  I have my 17 files latest DMP of \Windows\Minidump and MSinfo32 output - here are the links to SkyDrive:

    MSinfo32 http://sdrv.ms/16iRUXG

Often the laptop will BSOD and reboot even if it is idle, but sometimes it will suddenly turn off without any error at all.  The laptop is current in the BIOS and all the drivers that are available on the ASUS Support site.  Please let me know if you need more info, thanks!

    Hello

Analyzing the minidump did not help. Volsnap.sys is also a component of Windows, which means
Another thing he has led astray.

Continue to run the Verifier for awhile to see if it can indicate a CAUSE of non-Microsoft. However
This problem is probably related material so that it can not help and may even cause further instability.

Make sure that you have checked the possibilities previously listed.

I've been doing the BSOD a lot recently. I have an external hard drive attached to my laptop and every time I work the USB input or try to remove it, I exit below BSOD and my computer restarts. Anyone has an idea why this is happening? It seems that something related to the operation of Windows is located on the external hard drive, but everything I have on there is a lot of media files.

I'm normally ok to fix these sorts of things myself, but that left me speechless, it is massively annoying because every time that I spend my laptop or knock it did this and restarts.

  • [SOLVED] Windows 8 BSOD - KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Hey everybody, this is my first time on the forum and I have very frequent (about once to three times a week) blue with an associate of screening diagnostic KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and all diskchecks and memory, I have come to nothing. I downloaded a zip file of Minidump on my onedrive containing all my recent minidumps for viewing and I was wondering if someone could please check and see what is the problem? It drives me crazy right now and I can't stand it.

    SOLUTION

    Hey guys,.

So, it's a few months since the last response and a little more than 4 months since I created the thread, but I am happy to say that I could solve the problem on my own. As I suspected, it was related to the hard drive, but not because the hard drive was defective. I opened my laptop and realized that the SATA connector was only at half way pushed. It seems that one of the pins to keep the SATA cable was loose and would not stay, so I just put a little bit of Chatterton to prevent it from slipping again. Now, it has been 3 weeks and I have been without incident. I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out, but better late than never.

I hope that someone else with the same problem falls on this thread and is able to take advantage of my solution. It is unlikely that this a problem with all models of this laptop, but only in this case, it is for an Acer Aspire V7 582PG. Image of the source of the problem is below.

  • Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error on laptop Asus Windows 8

For a few months now, I get the Blue Screen of Death, showing the error message ' kernel_data_inpge_error. I did the analysis of memory, no problem with that. I tried chkdsk before, but the computer would either restart or he would be stuck on a number.

I've only had the computer for about nine months now and really want this problem to be solved. Any advice?

    CCMA

CHKDSK did find a file system corruption and that fixed it.  If you're still crashing download the new DMP.  I would also like to launch an another CHKDSK in a few days to see if the file system corruption is back.

  • Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error error blue screen

Original title: recently, our PC had blue screen errors

We have tried to update the BIOS, but we always get the Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error.  What else can we try?

    Hello

    1. are you able to boot to the desktop?

    2. when exactly you get this blue screen error?

When you encounter a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) in Windows, the computer saves information about the error message in a log file. This log file or minidump file is saved in the subdirectory of Windows Minidump (C:\Windows\MiniDump). Generally the information stored in the minidump file can help identify the cause of the blue screen error message and help you solve the problem.

For more information on the reading of the memory dump files, see the following article:

How read partial memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging

    Resolution:

Error code KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP: 0x0000007A indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file could not be read into memory. It seems that there are some problems with the hard drive.

Use the check disk command for all errors on the hard drive.

Warning: We recommend not to interrupt the CHKDSK process. Microsoft does not guarantee the integrity of the disk if the CHKDSK program is interrupted. Security, you can back up your data before using check disk drive.

Use the drive control as follows:

    (a) click Start.

    (b) in the search box type 'cmd' and ENTER. Right click and select "Run as Administrator".

    (c) type at the prompt in the command CHKDSK/p and press ENTER to scan the drive.

    (d) then type CHKDSK C: /F /R and press ENTER to repair corrupt sectors, if there are.

NOTE: The root drive must be C: and drive can schedule a task to start the system, if this is the case, press on is to schedule a task, and then restart the computer to run chkdsk.
When chkdsk is finished, boot up to the desktop, and then check.

  • KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR message

Recently I was away for two weeks and my system was closed all the time.  My system was working fine when I left.  No software or hardware has been added.  Nothing has changed.  When I came back, I started getting the following message with a BSOD: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP: 0x0000007A (0xC0000185, 0 x 80572092, 0xC0402B90, 0x18F08860).  I have unplugged everything except the monitor, keyboard and mouse, but the problem remains.  No idea how to solve this problem?

Not without more information.  Well... no good ideas.

Your system is a Compaq Presario V4440 or is it a gateway FX6803?

Are you running XP Professional SP2?

is your antivirus/antimalware currently Norton or McAfee?

Here are some ideas of an engineer of Microsoft Support previously marked as 'response' - see how these things work for you:

    Step A.
Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.

See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step B.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us

Step C: make SFC scan on the computer.
    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    3. at the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

Please note that if the idea of the engineer of Microsoft Support for try sfc/scannow solves your problems, I'll send you (or your charitable organization preferred) US $100.

    Until 14, I'm zero dollar.

  • KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR?

My wife bought a computer laptop just now. It was something to download a few days and stop or did something before it was over. At least that's what she thinks happened, she's not really sure. His computer running Windows XP Home Edition, do not know what is the worm or construction. I tried 'normal startup' (sometimes works after his stop for awhile), "safe mode" (doesn't), suggested mfgrs (press F2, F10, Ctrl + Alt + Delete, etc., "we CHARGE is 25 million dollars at the end of fifteen minutes to fix" thing) and I don't know there are a few I forgot. In any case. I get the infamous "Blue Screen of Death ' which has this message"KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR ". Close and restart at this point, the screen is black with the cursor in the upper left corner. I ' ve could access the BIOS and change some things here (as suggested by the mfgr site) but still have not been able to solve the problem. " You are supposed to be able to create a "recovery disc" which can recover/repair OEM sftwr/drivers as I suggested (well, unfortunately that not happened). So, I don't know if it's an OEM or issue windows. I also discovered that it could be a problem of bad hdwr. The mfgr said that the hard drive has a partition where the recovery sftwr is stored, I can not figrue how to access and use. I hope that anyone has any other ideas, could ensure him appreciate the help.

    Rhamnar86It,

If you can boot into Safe Mode with command prompt, or if you have a XP CD and you can boot into the Recovery Console, and then run the following commands.

    Chkdsk /r

sfc/scannow (you will need an XP CD for this command)

If you are not able to enter the Mode safe mode with command prompt, then you may need to use the recovery from the PC partition and see what recovery options are available.  You will need to contact Sony support for assistance to the use of the recovery partition.
