Key question product!

I bought an original package of Windows 7 Ultimate and formatted my pc that several times but the last, I've said that my product key is incorrect, and he gave me options to choose. My question is why it has not agreed to this I called the automated telephone service?

Probably because the Windows 7 Ultimate is an upgrade license.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

You're not real specific-, but the basic answer to your question is to find a list of the updates through the catalogue and download/save to some media.  Integrate as much as possible in support of installation that you plan to use after the date of 'dead' of the then 13 year operating system and several.

Drivers are not the responsibility of Microsoft unless it happens to be Microsoft hardware.  Go through the manufacturer (and it is possble the manufacturer will be * no * drivers for older operating systems supply - like XP.)

If it worked the first time, there is no reason that it will not work the second time on the same computer, as long as the Windows 7 is a full version.

If this is an upgrade version, you must have the qualifying OS installed and enabled before you upgrade and it will work.

    Hello

Most laptops have the product key on a sticker on the bottom of the machine. If yours is not readable, you should contact Compaq support: http://www.compaq.com/cpq-country/cpq_support.html

You will not need to register your software. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • Questions: product key for Win 7 Home Prem-64 bit on renovated 6000 HP Office

    Hello

I'm looking for assistance. A few questions about my product key and my type of PC.

I bought a refurbished Hewlett Packard 6000 PC from Best Buy in 2011 and it is come preinstalled (no windows disk) with Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) OS. It is authentic.

It has 2 hard drives. The big one is a 750G which has 2 partitions (part devoted only to the BONE and space remaining for usual use and still has plenty of space to breathe (585G).) Then, there is a disc of 14G it's strictly for the restoration of windows and recovery. It is nearly full with about 1 G to save.

I am not sure I want 10 Windows because it seems to be so many problems and I cannot afford a new PC hardware or download new software at the moment and I need my PC for a living. I use Norton 360 Security and backup on an external hard drive at the moment.

    1) if I try Win 10 and decide I don't like, I will always be able to return to my original Windows 7 Home Premium?

    2) if I need, can I use my product key with another disc of Windows 7 Home Premium is exactly what I have installed now (did not come with my PC), or is it illegal? I do not want to break the law or action illegal without knowing it.

Since Windows 10 came out, I had problems with my PC more.

From what I can tell, t seems to behave more like a "domain server" one "computer staff home.»

I restored it to factory twice during this time settings, but I keep my automatic windows update and I wonder if there may be some updates that should not be installed due to the release of 10 windows that add to the question.

    3) when it passes through their free offer 10 widows, it is a full version? And does go from Win 7 to 8 Win, then to win 10? Or just have it go right to win 10 of Win 7?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Installation of the HP factory is the worst install of Windows, you can have, entrelardé a ton of bloatware that duplicates and interferes with the older versions of built-in features of the operating system, suffers from endless problems.  Therefore no tech fan would have never run the installation of the factory (or an upgrade on Windows 10 place) but prefer clean reinstall Windows 7 with the product key on the COA sticker.

Now check if the product key on the COA sticker is there and readable.  It took for them to sell you Windows software pre-installed to legally.

If Yes, then you can solve all these problems at once by a Clean install Windows 10 Upgrade skip the product key during install then after activation with your Windows 7 key.  As long as stick you with tools and methods in the link that you will have no problem because there is no reported for those who follow.

Do not hesitate to ask back and let us now how it goes.

  • Reinstallation of Windows 7 product key question valid.

I see a lot of another similar post here, but none the explicitly to help me in my situation, as I understand it. I have problems with my computers that confuse me now. Both my laptop and desktop computer had hard drive failure and I replaced the drives in both entities (nothing else). Today, I have reinstalled Windows 7 on two of them (the sticker COST says Windows 7 Home Prem OA), I entered for each respective product keys and none worked properly. Both computers say I entered the product key is invalid for activation. I tried this for 32-bit and 64-bit versions (my laptop was 64-bit before the hard drive failed, I don't know what was the office, but the diagnostics say it is capable of 64 - bit) and it made no difference.

It would be my time to search around, that the replacement of the hard drive should not cause this problem. I am not mistaken? Is there no way to reinstall Windows 7 using existing product keys? I received my links to download other messages here but the installer for this installation of Windows 7 Home Prem has an agreement of Service Pack 1 installation, should I be looking for a different version? What does the acronym for OA?

    Hello

You are allowed to change hard drives; the motherboard with OEM (preinstalled or system builders licenses) are the problem.

And with or without Service Pack 1 download works with the product key on the COA sticker.

This is the product key that is all important.

If you have followed these steps to reinstall, follow the phone Activation section for activation problems and brace yourself for a real person explain to the:

Download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

    http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-image-downloads.12325/page-2#post-124821

And here are instructions on how to burn ISO disk images:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/isorecorder.html

    Then do a clean install:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

  • Where to find the key to product windows8

    Hello.

About 6 months ago I bought a laptop HP PRO with windows 7 pre-installed.

I had to format the hard drive and I installed windows 8, since it was only systems of the upcoming device with the PC on the DVD.

Now, a few months later, windows application for registration. He asks me for the product key, but I don't know where to find it. There is no useful number on the DVD cover, and I couldn't find any stick under the laptop.

Your computer has probably shipped with Windows 7 Pro installed from the factory and a set of Windows 8/8.1 Pro restore disks. This is a common configuration for computers in the company. Before using the Windows 8/8.1 disks, you must have created a set of restore disks Windows 7.

OEM computers that are provided with Windows 8/8.1 is no longer containing a Microsoft COA with the product key. Instead, the key is encrypted and integrated into the BIOS/CMOS.
