Key to Windows product activation on the COA sticker is wiped out

The product key on the COA sticker is annihilated. My laptop is in the form of post formatted with the trial version enabled...

How can I get the key...? Windows 7 Home Premium...

Original title: activate Windows

Using your recovery win disks you do according to your instructions from PC manufacturers, when you got the PC, or even dial that PC manufacturers support to request the recovery discs, for which there will be a small fee

(Using disk recovery does not require any key to be entered)

Is there anyway to find out what is my COST and anyway to make my own record of what is already installed?  Or maybe get a CD-ROM of replacement directly from Microsoft without having to buy a whole new product since this is activated and genuine.

    Thanks for any help.

If you do not have a Windows 7 disc to the seller, you have really even a valid license of Windows 7 at first.  A valid license of Windows 7 includes documented product key, original installation DVD and the license agreement wrote.  The "song and dance" the seller "lose the drive" everything is wrong in itself.  If the seller cannot provide a disc of Windows 7 genuine, real, the license is not valid because as a result of an incorrect license transfer has occurred.  The only media that can replace Microsoft are "retail" and not "OEM" meida.  See: How to replace Microsoft software Carey Frisch

  • Receive an error message that reads: Windows Product Activation.

Windows product activation.  The product key is not valid for this media type.  Please use the CD of instulation correct to reinstall Windows.
Error: 0 x 80040509 is also easy to reinstall the Windows CD? I have lost the previous information I had on my computer?

    Hi Harley Girl,

Thanks for posting. This error message occurs if you use a key that is not the same as the CD that you are installing with. Please find the disc that goes with this key, or reinstall using the media that are associated to reinstall. Also if it is OEM you can contact them to get additional support.

    I hope this helps!

  • 0x8004fe21 win 7 MGADiag not true report a different product than the COA sticker key

I have an Asus laptop K50IJ with Win7 Home Premium SP1 as (bought new in December 2009, from a reputable retailer) and about 5 years later, began to "this computer is not running genuine Windows" for some time in the middle to late February 2015, 0x8004fe21 appears on pop up message. I continued to by clicking on the red x to close the window because I have not had time to try to solve the problem. I was afraid to click on the link "Pay online now" in the pop up because I wasn't sure if it was a legitimate link or not. Last week, I started the research question, but I still don't know what to do. Control system info panel says that Windows is activated. I ran MGA diagnostic tool and noticed that the last 15 characters of the product key in the report are different from the sticker on the bottom of my computer. I found a lot of posts with corrections to this type of problem, but none of them are exactly my situation. We were on Windows update KB3004394 but that is not installed on my computer. Many precautions are noted so I hesitate to try something that changes the register or license key and product (e.g. slmgr /ilc or IPK) because I know not if the product key on the sticker will be valid. According to the report, "remaining Windows rearm count: 3 ' and a message says that the screen will become black permanently after a month, so last week I changed the system date of the month return to February (so today is 01/03/15) just in case where I can't solve this problem in time. I don't know if change the date system will be actually buy me more time, but the more I read about this type of problem, plus I'm not sure what to do. I'd like suggestions on how I could fix it if I should place a phone call to resolve. Thank you!

How to recover my product key of windows 8, I installed the windows 10 techniques view without taking backup I need to go back to my windows 8 pls someone help

    Hi Carmen,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand that you had not taken any prior backup upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview and need product key to retrieve Windows 8.

So, first of all, I suggest you to check the product key in email messages when you purchased the license to the product for Windows 8. Once you get the product key, you can create a Windows 8 ISO and reinstall using this product key. See the following article:

To create installation media Windows 8.1

However, if you had bought the system pre-installed with Windows 8. Then, you may need to contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) system for Windows 8 discs to restore the older operating system.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know the results for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

    Windows product activation

When I turned on my PC yesterday I got a Windows "in normal search" box saying Windows Product Activation. Given that Windows has been activated on this computer the hardware of the computer has changed significantly. Because of these changes, Windows must be reactivated in 2 days. You want to reactivate Windows now?

My computer has been updated there but nothing for over 2 years. I tried the virus checker & everything looks OK. Is this true? Should I wake? I am running Windows XP.

Yes, you must activate as soon as posible!

    Original title:

    WPA virus removal

Obviously, my Windows XP, SP #3, has been infected with a virus that says my Windows Product Activation need.  Can someone help legally remove this virus?

The machine has been in existence for several years, initially Windows has been activated, there has been NO hardware changes, I ran Windows Malicious Removal Tool, Malwaresbytes Anti-Spyware as well as Super Anti-Spyware tools.  The virus has so far resisted to deleted.

    Thank you

    Hi margaretscott,

    · You are prompted to activate your version of windows?

    · If so, is that the computer is restarted?

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · What is the edition of Windows installed?

See the link below: you are prompted to activate Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, each time that you start the computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312295

  • F2 key is no longer active / disable the wifi switch card

I have laptop Dell mini. The F2 key is no longer active / disables the power switch wifi card. It is always disabled. The device is present, it seems to be a software problem. I uninstalled the drivers and them was reinstalled. I even completely reinstalled Windows 7. Nothing will get my F2 key works again.

    Happy, it's kind of better.

Consider going to Dell support for new copies of their public services - things with names like

    Dell Wireless enable / disable

    Dell function keys

that is, no matter what the equivalents are for your system. I just had a peek at one of the Minis because I didn't know you had and these names seem to be utilities controlling the special Dell configured keyboard keys [including F2 is a].

If you sign in with your Service tag, it just goes to show that you updated utilities & drivers but at the top of the list, right next to a label with your serial number on will be a tab for all models of type - leaf through as you don't care if something is an updated version you need to replace a utility that does not work properly.

    Good luck

  • Should what key I use on my existing direct KMS host server for Windows 10 activations before the release of the 2016 Server?

    Issue of the company.

At first glance, this should have a simple answer. Of course the Windows 2010 KMS key for my good company?

Only I think Yes, because using a Windows client (which is Windows 10) KMS key on the KMS host allows only version and low-level Windows client KMS Activation for Vista and Windows 7/8/8.1 - no server product. Certainly in the past, this has been the case.

In the past, this was not a problem because the server and the client product were released at the same time and you would just install the KMS key last Windows Server product on the KMS host computer. Once installed, it would activate the time server and client OSs contacted the KMS host. For example my server currently has an installed server 2012-R2_VOLUME_KMS key, which activates the right client and server versions of Windows 2008\Vista.

So my question is, what key to KMS server do I use on the KMS server, to enable 10 activations and activation 2008r2\2012r2 Windows Server Windows in 6-9 months before Ms. free and publishes a key KMS Windows Server 2016?

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)
  • How can I find the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium (preinstalled) as sticker has worn through.

Someone knows if the product key is stored in any file on windows.  Or does anyone know if Microsoft will have kept no record of the product key and can send information.

    The short answer is no.

Even if a product key is stored in Windows and can be retrieved by various utilities third keyfinder, when Windows was preinstalled, this key is a special key used by the manufacturer of the computer to automatically activate Windows when, for example, you use the manufacturer method to restore the computer to its factory condition.

This key can be used if you want to reinstall using a Windows CD/DVD installation that you have purchased.  To do this, you use the key on the COA label on your machine.

If you need this key, your most likely solution is to use a bright light and a magnifying glass.  If it is completely unreadable, it is possible - though unlikely - that the manufacturer of the computer (non-Microsoft) can be useful.

No key will be useful if you want to install Windows on another computer.  OEM (preinstalled) Microsoft software product keys are valid only for the computer on which the software was first installed.

Can I use my product key for windows 2008 after it downgrade to windows 2003?

    Hello
Your question of Windows 7 is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows 7 Server forum.
