Keyboard cover M

Hello

I have a retina display 13 inch. I was just curious to know if the keyboard cover could melt or produce hazardous fumes when the mac has heated up. This is because sometimes the mac feels very hot to the touch and the cover of the keyboard still feels warm. Therefore, I wonder if it is possible that the keyboard cover do melt or produce hazardous fumes when the macbook heats up to a very high temperature?

Concerning

Yednap

I would not use a keyboard cover.

Just keep liquids off the Macbook Pro.

Best.

  • Portege R700 - keyboard cover

Toshiba or someone else to do a keyboard for the R700 series cover?

I want to preserve my laptop in State up, so wear the buttons is something I want to avoid with one of these translucent rubberized covers that I've seen for other laptops

    see you soon

    Hi 1994F7PT,

As far as I know Toshiba doesn't offer this keyboard covers. I did a Google search for keyboard covers Portege R700 and I found a few offers, but for US keyboard. Maybe you can find a few keyboard covers for keyboard R700 and EU. Also take a look on eBay, you can also get a lot of laptop parts.

If you have found something you can post it here. I'm sure that it s interesting to other owners P700! :)

  • Remove the top of Satellite 1100 / keyboard cover

Hi, I have a 100 satellite that I need to remove the top cover to get to the hard drive. I removed all the screws on the back and when I try to remove the lid seems stuck near the keyboard just above where is the mouse glidpath. Anyone has any idea how I would remove the cover completely to get hard disk?
    Thank you very much...

    Dear Neil

Trust me on this device it's very complicated to do. If you want to remove the HARD drive, you should separate the top cover (after removing the keyboard).

-In the bottom corner, there are 10 screws that must be removed.
-When the keyboard is removed there are six screws which fix the top cover
    -Disconnect the touchpad
-Lift the top cover by pulling gently upward from the rear corners and release locks on the front
-If I remember correctly the HARD disk is fixed with a screw
-After removing the screws, pull forward on the HARD drive to the connector on the system board

If you are not familiar with the assembly/disassembly procedure please don t do it yourself.

Sorry if my explanation is not accurate enough, but on this path, it is not easy to explain each step of manipulation.

  • Is it safe to use keyboard if I put the microfibre cloth on top of the keypad cover when I close the mac? (mac pro retina display)

    Hi all.

I use Kuzy keyboard cover on my mac pro retina display.

I read that Apple does not recommend to use the keypad cover when you close the mac of retina display.

So I wonder if it would be dangerous to use key cover if I put the microfibre cloth on top of the keypad cover when I close the mac?

In this way, would the retina display not scratched by a keyboard cover?

Please share an idea about it, thank you.

It is not only the possibility of a scratch, but also that the MacBook Pro retina are very thin. Adding a keyboard cover and a cloth could lead to damage and it closes does not correctly. I have personally not use either on my rMBP.

To activate the thin design of MacBook Pro with computers of Retina display, the distance between the screen and the top box is designed to close tolerances. Do not use palm rest covers or covers of CAP, because the extra thickness can interfere with the closing designed screen position.

  • Lower angle of view on smart keyboard

Is it possible to fold the new smart keyboard for the iPad Pro at a lower angle to the drawing?  All I can see on apples site are angles for viewing and typing.  It would be a shame if, after spending so much money that I had to use anything else whatsoever under the iPad to support up to a lower angle.

    N °

The smart keyboard cover have only two fixed positions.

It is because the cover design and the way it folds for use.

If two angles are too extreme for you, you will have to find a way to support the iPad at an angle more natural for the drawing.

I, personally, did not like the angles for the smart keyboard cover.

Your only other option is to return the keyboard cover, if you have had this less than 14 days and buy the plain ole' smart cover and buy a Bluetooth keyboard to separate to use with your iPad Pro material.

That's exactly what I did so I could have a folded in a blanket a lower angle to the drawing.

If I need to type, I have the ability to use the software keyboard when my iPad is still stalled in the lower position to angle for the drawing or sketch, OR I can support for visualization or homonyms with my separate Bluetooth keyboard or with other devices that I use with my iPad Pro.

    Good luck.

  • Problem strange cover on Satellite P200-13F

    Hi guys,.

I have a problem with the lid from 3 weeks. When I opened the cover and more than 90 degrees, then the screen the pixels on the screen darken slowly. This happens when I opened the lid gently. If I open it normally at 120 degrees the screen goes black immediately.

Could someone tell me the cause of this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

Orlan is right. Also, I believe that this problem is related to the LCD cable.
As far as I know you can see when you remove the keyboard and plastic placed between LCD and keyboard cover (must be remove at the beginning).

If you n t have experience with this things, perhaps you should seek professional help.
This plastic is fixed with the plastic holders, so be careful with that. It can be damaged if you use too much force of mach.

  • Tecra A7: Some keys on the keyboard do not work

    Hello

all of a sudden the following keys on my Tecra A7 do not work:

    8 9 I have o k l and the down and right arrows.

The first 8 are in a straight line down. Now using a USB external keyboard, but that does not in my bag when visiting customers.

Someone has an idea of what could be bad?

    Thank you
    Marc

    Hello Mark,

your problem may be something simple (the connector on your keyboard should be reinstalled, because she came off), or in the worst cases, the film of connection had broken (cut) and does not allow signals to be transmitted to the motherboard. If you are still under warranty, you should prefer consulting Toshiba for a quote, rather than attempt to fix this yourself.

If you feel confident to do it yourself, lift the plastic above the keyboard cover and remove the two screws that secure the keyboard (the screws are hidden under the plastic cover). Then you can reinstall connector 'films as' in its place.

Here is a sample image of a keyboard removed showing the location of the screws (upstairs next door) and the movie-a-like (bottom) connector:

  • How do I remove the keyboard of a Portege R400

Can someone give me more detailed information about how to remove the keyboard of my R400. I want to insert the SIM card, but I'm worried about damaging my new laptop.

    Thank you very much
    G. Elmo

    Hi mate,

To add or remove a SIM card, you must perform the following steps:

    1. your machine must be OFF!
    2. Remove and unplug any cable attached and device (USB, parallel, etc.)
    3. remove the battery
    4. remove the keyboard by pulling cover upward where are the grooves on each side of the hood. You can also use a small flat blade screwdriver or your nails to pull up.
    5. remove the 2 screws that hold the keyboard down.
6 pull the keyboard slowly and gently up, you pull it toward you.
    7. the SIM card slot is on the right side of the motherboard, pull the crack slightly on the left side to pull up. It s like the removal of a SIM of a mobile phone :)
8 put the SIM card into the slot. The smart gold SIM card must be on top. (You should see the chip during the installation of the card)
    9. click on the slot facing downwards and push it gently to the right to lock it.
10 install the keyboard by placing the clips under the palm rest.
    11 Don t forget the screws ;)
    12 and the keyboard cover.
    13 fact.

PS: Thanks for reading my text, if you want to send me money, gold or champagner just ask for my address. ;)

  • Satellite L305D-S5904 - how to replace the keyboard?

How to replace a keyboard on a L305D-S5904? My keyboard has been damaged and there is no option but in replaces it.

    Hello!

Normally, you can remove the keyboard if you first remove the keyboard cover. Then you should see 2 screws holding the keyboard. Remove the two screws and now you can remove the keyboard, but don't forget to remove the keyboard cable too.

Disassembly of the laptop is a little tricky and if you don't know how to make a laptop technician should ask for help.
If your laptop is under warranty, the repair should be free.

  • Satellite C660-1PH - button keyboard blocked

    Hello

I use my Satellite for like a year now and I am quite satisfied with its functionality, but the latter time the arrow up (Moving keys) he pasted a little when you click on it also making a noise that can be quite annoying after a while...

I checked on the internet and I have found that videos of totally eliminating the keyboard of a C660.
Can I remove a button and put it back, or I could even more damage?

    Please advice

AFAIK, you can't repair simple buttons. What you can do is remove the keyboard cover and eventually clean the small plastic mechanism under the cap.
Later, you can place key cap in the right position and press it gently downwards. When you hear the click the CAP should be in place again.

If you try to do so, be careful and gently.
