  I use a Sculpt Microsoft ergonomic Wireless Keyboard For Business for 7 months, and last week it stopped being able to enter numbers from the numeric keypad. • Can not get the new pair Apple wireless keyboard

  I followed the 'how' document, but it does not work - I guess that these statements applied to the previous generation apple wireless keyboard, but not the new series aluminum.

  When I "add new connection" (Express or Custom mode) a dialog box opens asking me to enter a PIN code on the keypad and press ENTER. I enter the serial number given, but I get an error message that authentication "was wrong." I've heard that I need to enter a PIN of 0000 for the keyboard to work, but the Toshiba Bluetooth stack doesn't seem to let me pick my own PIN - he always chooses for me.

  I uninstalled the Toshiba stack and tried XP SP2 stack - it works with the new apple keyboard runs it a PIN of 0000. Unfortunately, the battery of XP SP2 is not other profiles that I need so I can't really use it.

I bought this wireless keyboard and it's working great, although there is a problem with the layout language switch. When I change the input language - it is off, according to the change of language icon, if a text input is always in English.   Are you talking about the little flag in the menu bar? This has nothing to do with the language itself, it has to do with keyboard layouts. Any reason you need to switch the layouts?

  If you want to change the language of the menus and other system, then you must go to

  System-> region and language preferences, then change the order of the languages.

I removed all the screws on the back and when I try to remove the lid seems stuck near the keyboard just above where is the mouse glidpath.   Trust me on this device it's very complicated to do. If you want to remove the HARD drive, you should separate the top cover (after removing the keyboard).

  -In the bottom corner, there are 10 screws that must be removed.
  -When the keyboard is removed there are six screws which fix the top cover
  -Disconnect the touchpad
  -Lift the top cover by pulling gently upward from the rear corners and release locks on the front
  -If I remember correctly the HARD disk is fixed with a screw
  -After removing the screws, pull forward on the HARD drive to the connector on the system board

  If you are not familiar with the assembly/disassembly procedure please don t do it yourself.

  Sorry if my explanation is not accurate enough, but on this path, it is not easy to explain each step of manipulation.

I would be typing away and notice that nothing appeared on the screen. Then suddenly, a messy confusion of what I typed would seem all at once. With some missing characters, some repeated several times and strange spacing.

  I ran all kinds of virus and malware checks that some thing was not slow down my system up to the point where the receiver could ' t keep up. But everything went well. And I have MS Security Essentials run continuously. Finally, I realized just the keyboard was old and bad functioning. So, although I preferred, I went to the MS Wireless Laser Kayboard 6000. That worked fine but I've always preferred ergonomic one.

  Recently, I was given another keyboard ergonomic 7000 I had actually given to a family member when I got mine, but she never used. So even if it is the age of the SME, it has never been used. And immediately the problems returned when I started to use this one instead. I tried to use it with the old man and the receiver, the one that came with the other. This isn't a specific hardware problem.

  I use Windows 7 64-bit and for the record, the mouse seems to have no problems. Just the keyboard.
