Hi, I have Windows vista
When I try to write a letter to my email, typing seem to delay... and I get a lot of miss type some how...
is it my computer? my keyboard? my window?
my email? Yahoo
Please help me!
Thank you

Hello

The problem occurs in other applications? If not, then it is specific to the e-mail or, if on the web application, the site or the plugin it uses. That would mean there is nothing wrong with your keyboard or driver software, interference from the e-mail process. You have the Satellite L670?
I read on this question here in the forum.
There is a temporal solution; update the BIOS.
Then, the problems should be solved.
If it comes back, then you should disconnect battery and AC adapter. Wait a while and reconnect the two parts.

I hope this helps a little.

    Hello Linda,.

This happens on a single computer or multiple computers?

If it is only on a single machine in this case, then we should download and install the latest drivers and software from the following link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/downloads

If this happens on several computers, then it is most likely that we have problems of material with the keyboard and you will need to contact the material support of replacement.

  • M30: Keyboard delay

I have a M30 and when I type the typing is delayed, I stop and let it catch up all the time. Sometimes is streaches accuracy of typing and sometimes the cursur jumps to a section in the middle of the text.
I'm not in contact with the cushion, no mater how fast or slow, I type, wether I'm in word or Explorer, it always does.

I used the operating system provided with the laptop and I reformatted in a different version of Windows XP with a different version of the word, and it still happens. It's as if the CPU is not fast enough, even if it's a 1.5 ghz centrino.

I also put in the bios for the processor to run at full speed all the time.

    Help me I am confused

    Hello

Check it please all processes running in the Task Manager. I guess the HARD drive activity slows down typing speed.

I had similar problem while antivir application runs. Believe me I have removed from the system and now everything works fine. Now I use antivir Antivir Personal Edition easier application and the it HDD unclaimed at all.

    Good bye

  • Delay in keyboard IMAC 5 K

I use Photoshop CC 2015 (16.0.1) in a new iMac 5K (4 GHz, 32 GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB, OS X 10.10.5) and I get boring keyboard 'delay' or delays. For example, if I press the space bar to use the hand tool temporarily it works normally for 3 times out of 4, but the 4th time, there is a delay of about 2 seconds before the hand tool is active. I sometimes need to work quickly in Photoshop so it's frustrating when it continues to be. all of the keyboard shortcuts are affected.

I tried using and old copy of Photoshop C6 that I still have on my system, and there is no problem with that. And the phenomenon of delay in the keyboard does NOT occur in other software that I am running on the same computer. I tried to use a wired keyboard, I tried running Photoshop CC 2015 'start' mode, but in both cases, I still get the problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Colin Thomas

Yes, you can install Photoshop CC 2014 creative cloud.

Do it and see if the results are the same, or he works.

  • Satellite Pro C660 - keyboard problems

This issue is one for computer laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1UX running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

Some of the keys on Board (E, T, U, I, O, A, B, N, and the Enter key) fail to register.
All keys tested so far seem to register normally.

When you connect an external USB keyboard, all the keys work properly. When you use the integrated keyboard or external USB keyboard, however, pressed some key is selected for about 2-3 seconds so that his character register. This makes typing incredibly slow and is naturally unacceptable.

I checked the Manager of devices looking for errors, but can't find one. The keyboard driver is classified properly installed and functional, and driver update indicates that the latest version is in already in service.

I've also scanned for viruses using Spybot and Malware bytes and also with laptops own antivirus software pre-installed. All the analyses of the entire system refer a none found the message of threat.

I read that the keyboards on these machines can sometimes be problematic, which could respond only to edge, some function keys. The fact that all the external USB keyboard keys work seems to confirm this. However, the fact that the keyboard both onboard and external is affected by the same slow pressure might also suggest a bios problem - but that this laptop computer is several years old and working perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.

I visited the Toshiba site and based on this laptop with the part number: PSC0ME-02100SEN, I have concluded (rightly or wrongly) that the correct bios download version is 1, 70 - WIN, only when I read the following installation instructions http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm bios
I became quite concerned, like installing the bios update seems far from simple.

Does anyone know if it is possible to download and install the bios right through an update automated versus manual download and installation step by step, which, if not carried out as planned, could make the laptop completely unusable.

Has anyone reading this post experienced similar problems with this make and model laptop and was able to return successfully to the good operating condition. If so, how?

All constructive advice would be welcome.

    > When you connect an external USB keyboard, all keys work correctly.

This means that the keyboard controller is OK and the internal keyboard is defective.
To resolve this problem of keyboard, internal keyboard needs to be replaced.

    > However, the fact that the keyboard on board as external is affected by the same keypress slow could also suggest a bios problem - but this laptop computer is several years old and works perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.

    Hmm I n t think so
The keyboard delay can be bound to parameters.
You can check this in the control panel-> keyboard

  • Omen of HP: HP Omen control "Enable the touchpad while typing" resets on reboot

Hey, I just got a new laptop HP Omen and it works for the large majority. However, I was annoyed buy the touchpad is disabled while typing (because it took a few moments to re-activation, making it difficult to edit documents quickly, jumping from one section to another). I have seen that there is a setting for this in the control of presage software and I enabled it, and it works temporarily. But when I restart the laptop, the setting is enabled is no longer, and you need to re - activate yourself. This doesn't happen to other settings, such a deactivation of the windows key, which remain after the restart, but isn't the touchpad setting. Is it possible to fix this?

    Thank you

Thank you very much, I didn't know that this setting could also be found under the touchpad settings. I turned to SmartSense (detection of palm + keyboard delay) and it solved half of the problem. However, the touchpad settings don't also save on reboot. There were messages on this before, such as:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/Synatics-touchpad-v7-5-settings-not-saving-after-Windows-10/TD-p/5177065/page/5

The final solution to this position, changing a value of resistry, worked for me, and now the settings remain saved. So thanks to you and which after.

  • Satellite A660-1DW - fault LED and arrow keys

I just bought an A660-1DW. Everything seems to work fine except that the arrow and DELkeys do not always work. Most of the time they are very good, but maybe once in every twenty depressions you must press the button twice or even three times or he press very hard to make it work.

This is a new laptop, and no liquid has been spilled on it.

I found an entry in the knowledge base that deals with a similar problem for other types of satellites, but not the 'A' series. He recommended to switch off, remove the battery, wait awhile and turn with FN / N / 1 keys at the same time. I did, but it has no effect.

Someone had a similar problem? I have to send the laptop back to fix, or is there something I can do myself?

All opinions and advice are welcome.

    Matt.

    Hello

    > I found an entry in the knowledge base that deals with a similar problem for other types of satellites, but not the series "A". He recommended to switch off, remove the battery, wait awhile and turn with FN / N / 1 keys at the same time. I did, but it has no effect.

The described issue was slightly different. It's a keyboard delay which has not assigned a particular button, but all the keys on the keyboard. But this has been fixed by the BIOS updated.

In your case, it sounds like keyboard problem
    Perhaps it should be replaced

  • Need help with extremely low rates of FPS on X 51 new R2

I just bought a new Alienware X 51 R2 to replace an old Alienware model with a Radeon graphics card that I bought in 2012. My old machine has done useful work to run the games, and I was getting about 30 FPS on Grand Theft Auto 5 to high heat (especially) with a resolution of 1440 X 900. For most of the games I could play on normal settings and get 30 + FPS and I was happy with it. Not so with the new X 51 R2 I bought.

Almost immediately, I noticed that my FPS with GTA V was extremely low. When I start a game (1920 X 1080 with normal settings), the FPS is around 120, and the game plays smooth as butter, but as soon as I start to move starts to decline until it is of the order of 15-20. Enter a car is even worse, with FPS readings between 5 and 10, and at this rate, it is impossible to play. The problem seems to occur any resolution, I start the game or if I push the graphics settings to the lowest available.

I thought it was a driver problem, so I uninstalled all the drivers and software NVIDIA and a clean installed drivers, but that has not helped. Then I started to download and test the other games that I have to look at my FPS with them. Note that I tested each game first leave the game choose the graphics setting, then I tested it again on smaller settings at 1920 X 1080 and 1440 X 900.

    • Skyrim on old PC: 40 FPS and smooth at 1600 X 900
    • Skyrim w / default: 8-12 FPS and a lot of stuttering and offset
    • Skyrim @ 1920 X 1080: 12-15 FPS with less stutter but terrible mouse and keyboard delay.
    • Skyrim @ 1440 X 900: even at 1080
    • RAGE on old PC: 50 to 60 FPS and smooth at 1600 X 900
    • RAGE w / default settings: 25-35 FPS, but ran pretty smooth.
    • RAGE @ 1920 X 1080 and 1440 X 900: performs the same as the default settings
    • CoD4MW on old PC: 50 to 60 FPS and smooth at 1600 X 900
    • CoD4MW w / default settings: 10-15 FPS and a lot of stuttering
    • CoD4MW @ 1920 1440: 10-15 FPS and a lot of stuttering
    • Civilization 5 on old PC: 40-50 FPS and smooth at 1600 X 900
    • Civ5 on default settings: starts at ~ 35 FPS and descends until it is less than 20 years. Game play is smooth enough, as long as I'm not scroll the map.
    • Civ5 on 1920 X 1080: as with the settings by default, starts at ~ 35 FPS and begins to drop immediately.
    • Civ5 on 1440 X 900: much better that it begins at 60 FPS, but like the others, begins a fall after a few minutes, but not too far. Tube in the lower 20s.
    • Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on the old PC: 90 + FPS to the highest settings (game released like 10 years ago)
    • Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 to 1600 X 900: 50 to 60 FPS and quite smooth.
    • Dead Island on old PC: 40-50 FPS and smooth at 1600 X 900
    • Dead Island in 1920 X 1080: 5 to 10 FPS and a lot of stuttering and keyboard/mouse lag.
    • Dead Island at 1440 X 900: 10-15 FPS and stuttering with some lag mouse.

Here is a list of some of the things I've tried:

    1. Downloaded FRAPS and used instead of the tool integrated FPS w / steam. Readings FRAPS corresponding to the display of the steam.
    2. Wipe the old NVIDIA drivers/software and did a clean install only the driver.
    3. Turn off VSync and tried the Adaptive VSync; neither helped.
    4. I bought a keyboard Roccat / mouse and I was wondering if they were part of the problem, so I uninstalled them and used a plain Microsoft keyboard and mouse. Did not help.
    5. Set the executable of the game to the highest priority in the Task Manager. Not good.
    6. Watched the memory usage, CPU utilization and disk i/o while playing to see if I have the hardware bottlenecks. CPU usage never had more than 20%. Memory usage has never had more than 37%. Drive e/s never had more than 10% after the initial load.

    System Specs:

    • Alienware X 51 R2
    • Windows 8.1
    • Processor: Intel Core i7 core 4 4790 @ 4000 MHz
    • RAM: 16 Gb DDR3
    • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 w / 2 GB of memory
    • HARD disk: 7200 RPM Toshiba DT01ACA200

I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how I can solve the problem. This is the first time I've owned a GeForce card (always had ATI Radeon in the past), and I'm starting to question that decision. The only game I could get decent framerate on is 10 years and more, and it's pretty frustrating.

Someone has an idea of what I can do to get to a resolution?

There must be something wrong with the fan 960 GTX. Either it has disconnected or broken. Or in bulk (screws not doing their job). I do not think that it is disconnected because it is detected, so it is either broken or it is loose.

You can check yourself on the GPU or contact technical support to examine it.
