keyboard shortcuts help

I can't get my mouse shortcuts to work, I have a button that is used to scroll up and down between the left and right-click buttons, I can't make it work what I do?

Hello

Control Panel - mouse - check the settings there.

If necessary try this - Panel - Manager of peripherals - mouse - click with the button straight on and UNINSTALL
(do not check the box to delete driver) - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

If no joy and it's a mouse 3rd party, such as an MS optical or optical LogiTech, install/reinstall
the most recent drivers.

I hope this helps.

Rob Brown - MS MVP: Bike - Mark Twain said it right.

  • Keyboard shortcut for fill with the color layer are opposed on my PS CS6 OSX install help?

    Hi all

I'm kinda a noob and following a tutorial... and found something strange and I wonder if you could help me understand what is happening.

I have Photoshop CS6 extended on a macbook pro (late 2011).

    I am running OSX v 10.7.5

I'm the long and the instructor has added a new layer. I did it.

He then filled the white layer which is its background color (it has foreground black, white background). I have same evidence / background colors.

Now I thought on mac to fill with the foreground color, you hit Apple + Delete and to fill it with the background, press Option + delete

It's the exact OPPOSITE for me. I hit Apple + DELETE (or even BACKSPACE) and filled it with my background color, which is white

If I hit Option + DELETE (or RET.), filled it with my foreground color.

I tried searching in the area of keyboard shortcuts change... but I do not see these settings anywhere.

I have an external keyboard plugged into my mac. It is a 3rd party one, but seems otherwise never function normally.

    Keyboard here is: http://pckeyboard.com/page/UKBD/UB40P4A

Any suggestions why my shortcut keyboard for a fill with the color layer could be reversed?

    Thanks in advance,

    CC

  • Keyboard shortcuts for the screen saver does not

When upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, the hotkey to put the screen in sleep mode (control - shift - (power or Media Eject button )) has stopped working. As I use this command several times a day and don't know not of any other way to put the screen in sleep mode, it's one of the few reasons why I consider really return to El Capitan.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi Zwolff,

Thanks for posting in the Community Support from Apple! I understand that you are having problems with the keyboard shortcut to put your display to sleep. It is certainly a handy to use feature and I'm happy to offer some suggestions to help.

The first thing that I recommend you try safe mode connects. This will clear the caches and conduct audits at your connection. Here you can find the steps for safe mode:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

I also recommend you test this in a test on your Mac user account. There may be software or a specific file of the user that generated problems with your shortcut.

  • When I click on "View history" I completely lose the Firefox menu bar, I can't even quit the application without using a keyboard shortcut.

The question describes all this: when I select "view history", the menu bar disappears, so I have no way of navigation, there is no arrow to the left, nothing. I quit Firefox, but only using the Mac keyboard shortcut. I can go back to a previous window only by moving the historic window and I can close this previous window - there is a button for this - but there is NOTHING that will allow me to change, or close, the historical window. My only option is to leave the program.

Both of your corrections helped. The first reminded me that I could simply use command-W to close the library window, because it did not show a close"" button. But your second response on rename these two files really made the tour of Firefox back to his old self once more. Now, everything is back to normal. Thank you.

  • Yahoo Mail keyboard shortcuts no longer works

Normally when you use Yahoo Mail with Firefox, I use keyboard shortcuts for underline, bold and italic. Now, when I type CTRL-U I get 'PAGE SOURCE' everything in CONTROL I did appear BOOKMARKS. The absence of underscore shortcut is something serious because there is no corresponding button. I have change this shortcut from the SOURCE PAGE, to avoid the conflict, but that does not change. Any ideas?

Just to update you on Yahoo-Firefox shortcuts, as of yesterday, things returned to normal by themselves - thank you anyway for your help

  • Unable to use the keyboard shortcuts on Netflix

If I watch something on Netflix, I can't use keyboard shortcuts for Firefox. For example, I can't use ctrl + T/N to open a new tab or window. What is going on?

    My guess is:

If you click on all controls in an area of the screen controlled by a plugin (for example, Silverlight or Flash), the plugin will take focus and usually continue to intercept keyboard actions. Usually, clicking on an empty area of the page to return the focus to the browser itself, but sometimes it does not work and you use the mouse to change the tabs and change back to regain control. Or if you use the shortcut to Windows Alt + Tab to switch to another window, then Alt + Tab, return to Netflix, who could also operate (and avoids having to use the mouse).

Is it that help at all?

  • Keyboard shortcut to click on a button in a drop-down window in Thunderbird Mac?

I recently migrated to Thunderbird 3 on an older Mac OS x 10.4.11 to a whole new Mac OS x 10.9.3. The migration has been almost transparent, and I'm loving many useful features of the new Thunderbird! However...

There is ONE thing that I do all the time which is not supported by a keyboard shortcut, and I couldn't find anything in the Support forums that relates specifically to it. When I start an email and decide I want to throw it away, I hit command W (close) and get a drop-down window that can gives me the choice to save (as a draft in my case), not save and cancel. The ESC key active Cancel, of course, but none of the other buttons has a keyboard shortcut.

It's almost the only time wherever I have to grab my mouse when I use TB and I find this very frustrating. I have other applications on the Mac which can accept inside these windows keyboard shortcuts and really missing TB. Is it possible to add these shortcuts? I'd like to be able to use the D command to close an unsent message without saving changes.

Several people spoke of keyconfig, but we don't know if this works on this version of TB Mac and it is also unknown if it allows access to the buttons I want control. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

The add-on keyconfig is up and running here in TB 24 & 32, but to install it, you will first need to install this add-on:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/CheckCompatibility/

I found the instructions to create a shortcut to save as a draft and close the window (Ctrl-S is the default key for save as draft), so that we can adapt that Don ' t Save (although Windows, Alt - N is the default key for the command of Don't Save).

You can have better luck post this question in the keyconfig forum quoted in the first link.

  • How to create keyboard shortcuts in thunderbird 24.5.0

    Help
I'm new to this [keyboard shortcuts], but understand that "keyconfig" is not compatible in the latest version of Thunderbird 24.5.0. I tried to install it, but it is rejected because of the incompatibility.

How can I create new shortcut keys, say "empty the Junk folder" or "empty deleted items folder?

    Thank you

    Good.

There are several articles on mozillazine giving the names of the internal functions that you can call scripts keyconfig. Good hunting.

  • Keyboard shortcut 'Command r' has been hijacked

Command + r is used for many things, but now, whenever I enter this command in any application it just opens the Contacts application.  I have no idea what caused this problem or how to stop it. I looked under system preferences keyboard shortcuts tab, but don't see anything that could explain this.

Frustrated, I hope someone can help!

Did you try System Preferences, keyboard, shortcuts, Restore Defaults?

  • Some keyboard shortcuts not working is not in FF27

After the update to the latest version (FF27), Firefox does not meet some keyboard shortcuts. For example, ctr + shift + T doesn't work (ctr + T works fine). Put aside cela ctrl + < number > does not take me to respective tabs.
I tried to reinstall FF; but that did not help. (But not a not all delete that data - custom data and firefox in the C drive folder was still there).

    PS - I addon-tab mix more.

  • Why keyboard shortcuts are not enabled in FireFox 25 on Win7?

I try to use 25 Firefox on a Win7 computer. When I used this computer before, the hotkeys worked in Firefox. Now, however, they have not.

I have already been through the Options menu, and I don't see a place to enable or disable keyboard shortcuts.

I have several add-ons; all persons with disabilities. Yalho toolbar, SEQ shake the toolbar, Alexa toolbar.

I need the keyboard shortcuts. Not only do not have them slow me down, it is very very very annoying to have to take my hands on the keyboard, put them on the mouse, click on where I want and THEN return to the keyboard to type. ARRRGH!

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

  • evil due to the non-standard layout keyboard shortcuts.

I use a not standard, configuration of keyboard not QWERTY, from Dvorak to the developer by Roland Kauffman (for that "ddvorak").
Shortcuts keyboard seem to be messed up, and I can't understand how to make them grow.
On a standard web page, hit CTRL + C opens the bookmark library. Pressing CTRL + I (I is the button that gets the character 'c' under ddvorak) opens a side sidebar "search in a bookmark". Curiously, I can copy / paste without problem from the input field like the one I'm using to write this.

I noticed that the menus contestual have not even keyboard shortcuts (but shortcuts are present in the "Edit" menu).

Can I stop preloader with a keyboard shortcut?

Sometimes I go to a site, & the preloader takes a loooong time. I already saw that I don't want to stay there, but are unable to leave until the site to load completely.
Y at - it a shortcut that will stop the preload, & perhaps leave the site?

CTRL + W seems to do the job when I tried earlier. If I have other problems, I will try other solutions.

    THANKS for the quick help!
