Keys on the keyboard of the laptop does not match the characters typed on the screen after having connected and disconnected the separate keyboard

I have a Dell Vostro 1310 (laptop).  My laptop keyboard was working fine until I decided to plug in a keyboard separated from Dell on the USB port, just to give my fingers a break from typing on the small keys of the laptop and then unplugged the keyboard to the keyboard of the laptop again.  Now, when I type using the keys of the laptop, some keys produce different characters on the screen.  This is what happens:

"uiop' became keys ' 456."
"jkl;" become "-123"
"m" becomes "0" and
'0' becomes ' / '.

I think it may have something to do with the left button "Fn" Blue right next to the 'Ctrl' key on the lower side of the portable keyboard, because characters that appear match the blue characters on these keys with a malfunction.

Can someone tell me please how to get these keys again function normally and to prevent this from happening in the future?

I found the answer on another forum on the Internet.  Press SHIFT + Num Lk to deactivate the mode of operation.

  • Laptop does not connect to B110a

    Hey guys.

    Today, I bought a new modem/router to use at home and after having connected and set up, I decided to use the wireless of my printer B110a because there are two computers in the House. My PC desktop and laptop of my wife.

    I have had no problem my desktop computer connected and wireless printing but when I followed the same steps to connect the laptop I get no results. When I go through the steps of Start > programs > HP > Photosmart B110 series > add a device loading type bars screen with the green movement at low shows for a few seconds, as it begins the process but then disappears. After that, nothing happens.

    It's something that I would really have set because the laptop cannot be connected to a cable because that's from across the room, where the cable comes.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

    I read your post about the problems with your Envy 7640 in Win10 printer and wanted to help.

    The problem is that by default HP print drivers installed by the upgrade of Win10 often do not work.  I have two HP printers and neither one worked after the Win10 upgrade.  We also receive a lot of messages of other people with the same problems.

    You must download and install the full feature software and drivers for the printer.

    Then unplug the printer and install the software.

    Do reconnect the printer until the installation program invited to do so.

    Once the installation is complete, restart.

    You should then be able to use your printer in Win10.

    First, check the scrolling settings in the advanced settings of Touchpad.

    If they are enabled, uninstall the mouse/keyboard 3rdparty as Logitech or Microsoft and Watcom drivers that may have installed you.

    If it's no good, uninstall the Toshiba touchpad driver, then download and install the latest version.

    You will need to enable the touchpad on the laptop itself.

    Find the area of the touch pad, you will find a button to enable or disable the touchpad.

    If the step above doesn't, try this step.

    Go to control panel > mouse > device settings tab
    Click (or to disable)

    Notes:
    On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, ACER, just do Fn + F7.
    You can click on Reset device if none of these solutions work.

    If you still can't touch pad to work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information.

    This problem could be due to the fact that the product key provided does not match the press which is used to install Windows. The product key that is provided can be a file without assistance, in a. EI. CFG file, in the PID.txt file or in the BIOS firmware. Windows OEM 8 machines ship with the product key in the firmware, and if this product key does not match the press, then you will see the above error message.

    I suggest you to change the product key to the correct for the media you are trying to install. If the system has a product key in the motherboard (o. a. 3.0 [Activation OEM] provides an OEM product key in the firmware), you use an Unattend file, file (EI.cfg) edition Configuration or the product ID file (PID.txt).
