kind of basic question on navigation of the sequence

then I got a new job and worked with Avid Newscutter there. not much fan of passionate, but there is a feature that has been sloppy. When you hold down the control and right mouse and browse your sequence, difficult playhead stops at each edit point. is it possible to imitate this behavior in first? I know that I can just press up and down to scroll edit them points, but sometimes it is not practical, according to what I do.  Thank you.

Up and down is the only way I know how.

    Hooray, my company eventually got Framemaker, and I am now in charge of the control of FM and fall all our old content FM. I'll use it to create our manual of the product.

    Anyway, what I do is align text in the heads side with graphs in the main text column. As follows, from the old manual:

    So far, I tried to create a paragraph tag that sets the text in the head to one side. It works, but I can't align the text of the head to one side with the chart. (The paragraph Designer options seem to allow only aligning the text side-head with other paragraphs, no graphics).

    So, given that our manual is full of graphs that need aligned beside text, what is the best approach?

    A fairly standard practice with framework is to create a paragraph tag that is used only as a part of positioning to hang frames anchored (with images) and tables. The font size is usually set to something like 2 or 4 points, so that it fits in the documents without adding white space. And he never actually wears text.

    So if you create an anchor tag and anchor your chart it, you should have a tag to align a sidehead against.

    However, if it was me, I probably hang a picture two-column a row of my anchor tag and the graphics of the pop in a cell and a legend in the second.

  • Question of magnification on the sequence Viewer

    HELLO community,

    A question about Premiere Pro, (CS6 if it matters): when you view a 1080 p resolution in the display of source code, I have no problem see the full game 100% and adjustment of image for 'Zoom' and 'Resolution Viewer.  However, to make an edit decision, and showing the source code in the sequence Viewer, I am unable to see the whole picture, no matter what I put 'Zoom' and 'Resolution Viewer.  Strangely, I have an edit decision adjacent to that other decision edition and from the same source, and I CAN see the full image in the Viewer for this decision to change.

    Why the viewer would treat a different decision on the other edit in the sequence Viewer and from the same source file is a mystery!  Can anyone advise what I could look at to try to get the second parameters change the display of the decision in its entirety, as the other change the decision?  Yet once, I tried to solve this problem with the 'Zoom' and "Résolution Viewer" parameters, but without success.

    Good guys, here's my problem.  I have a mac with Photoshop elements.  I design t-shirts for my local gym.  They just sign a contract with a small MOM and pop screen hosting. As a result, they have all saved as an Illustrator EPS, version 10 file or several.  She couldn't use my photoshop eps files.

    She is my questions.

    1. If I buy a 'new' Illustrator 10 from Amazon it will install on my mac 10.5 version or my computer is too new for this program?

    2. If it settles, can I open the PSD in Photoshop elements files in illustrator 10 and save as illustrator EPS files?

    I don't know anything about Illustrator, but I'll dive in as soon as I get it.  I really just need to open the PSD and convert it using Illustrator 10.  They need the vector files.  I just need these questions answered before you buy the program.  Thank you

    If you're talking about the design of T-Shirts involving multiple colors, you really should be using a program (whether raster or vector) able to print color separations. You can do with what you use, but you will need to work in black and white only.

    Basic questions to ask at the shop of the screen:

    • What do you use for your "film positive" with which you expose your screens? (Ex: impressions laser on vellum translucent or clear acetate; litho real films shot on a device of original thought... process)
    • Can you maintain screens tint or halftone; or are you limited to the art of the line?
    • If you can print the tintscreens or the halftone, what is the ruling of maximum line you can hold?

    Why? Assuming that they are printing their originals, they should be able to print from a PDF of the color separation.

    EPS is encapsulated PostScript. It must be a PostScript to EPS printer print correctly. PDF can be printed both PostScript and non-PostScript devices, frequent at MOM & filter anti-pop stores.

    You don't need the old version. Current version can back - record formats inherited version. It is usually false economy to go around buying obsolete software.

    You can open an EPS with Illustrator file (pretty well regardless of what program exported EPS). But that doesn't automatically make the needs of the shop of the screen. Forget the EPS. It is the nature of the content that matters.

    EPS is a metadata format. Think it's just a "warpper" or a "black box" that can hold different types of data objects which are understood by a PostScript device.

    For example: assume that your work is an RGB of halftone image you built in Photoshop and then exported in EPS file. Open the EPS in Illustrator and then give to the shop of the screen is not accomplish anything. After opening in Illustrator, you then just a native Illustrator file that contains a RGB raster image. How would he a difference whatsoever, as to whether the screen shop can print it?

    Big misconceptions:

    • Simply open a file (regardless of format) in Illustrator is not magically that he "vector".
    • Being fully vector is not magically, ensure that it the limitations of repro of MOM & filter anti-pop stores.
    • Most of the MOM & pop screenshots are not really limited to work with vector illustrations; they just think they are.

    Screen mom & pop stores very often say 'We need vector illustrations' when in fact what they really mean is "We need line art."

    It's really very simple:

    Denominator common for shops to screen mom & pop requirements is as follows: a single image of art of black line for each color used in the design. That's all. They are going to take a copy of this solid black image, printed on a transparent or translucent medium at least and it can block light that will expose a screen. They do it separately for each ink (color) will be printed on the shirt.

    Line drawing means "without tone." In other words, nothing which prints as a screen of dots as a screen tint or a semitone. In other words, no detail too small to be taken in charge by the mesh of the physical screen.

    Line drawing can be created with both raster and vector programs. You can 'paint' a raster image that will print as art of the black solid line in Photoshop just as easily as you can 'draw' traced that will print as black line art continues in Illustrator.

    No matter whether you are creating the linework in Photoshop or Illustrator (or more any other mainstream graphics program), you can save it as a PDF ready to print. This PDF can be opened and printed by the shop of MOM & pop screen using nothing more than the free software Adobe Reader.

    But the content of this PDF (e.g.: the art of the black line continues; a page by ink) is up to you to create properly. This requires only to understand the fundamentals of color separation and the creation of your work accordingly.

    I set up a lightweight VM that would deal with inter-VM traffic. To do this, I want to activate the duplication of port between virtual machines.


    I have ESXi 5.5 Update 1 installed, use the Vsphere (no webclient) client. I see no duplication of port capacity on my Vsphere Client

    Because the mirror of port requires a distributed switch, you will need to vCenter Server and once in vCenter Server, you can the vSphere Web Client of the user or the vSphere Client (c# version).

    I have a basic question about the configuration of the TPM. I have all the "employees" in Active Directory and 'Employees + external users' in OID. The employee user password is maintained in AD, while the same for the external user is maintained in OID.

    Query:
    I need to configure authentication for an application for the employees present in the AD and present external users in OID. I have to join the profiles of employees present in AD and OID. Even if the employees are present in the OID, I don't want to configure for authentication of the OAM.

    How can I implement this using OAM and OVD.

    You said that OID contains external users as well as employees. You manage a container separated for employees in OID. If so, you job would be easy. If there is no container separated for employees on the OID and storing all users (employees and external users) in the same container (default: cn = Users, dc = xxx, dc is com) then you can get the list of AD users only with the following ldapsearch command:

    ldapsearch h Pei d 'cn = sleep '' w sub s b '' 'objectclass = user' SamAccountName

    Create three adapters OVD:

    1 adapter used (this should point to Active Directory)

    2. users adapter (when creating this, you have to exclude users AD, just similar to find the above option).

    3 create the adapter to store as the clubs above two adapters.

    Now, OAM should talk to store adapter.

  • Question CSH, executives and the Navigation links...

    I have a display problem with framesets.  In my projects, I've created several sets of frames with 2 images in topic, 30% on the left, 70% on the right.

    In settings of WebHelp, I chose "connection pane, see Navigation in the topics.  The problem is that it adds a link 'Show' on each side of the frame, and when they are clicked on, it translates into 4 frames being created, with 2 separate navigation images.

    Is there a way to solve this problem, so that managers keep crack whenever I click a link?

    I can understand why you don't like it, but it is certainly logical. The idea of iFrames is that you can show what you love and the two functions independently. You have chosen to view the two areas of assistance, but the iFrame will not worry if that's what you are showing or a page of Ferraris and a Mercedes-Benz cars. Everything you click on will work within this framework.

    In your case by clicking on view is meant that complete help opens in this context for the subject and complete help for the framework of other shows when you click on the link to see the second. You look at still only two iFrames. Until you click on display, each of them show the subject only. Subsequently, they show the section and the nav pane.

  • Basic questions Profibus

    I have a few basic questions about Profibus. We seek to develop a system that uses this form of communication, but we need a few questions answered in a broad sense, until we can move forward.

    How fast can it reliable to deal with a large amount of data while contained in an executable multithreaded great? Our typical executables are 7 500 KB and must run on a Pentium 4 PC indefinitely without triggering more than 20% CPU. Given this constriant and my general lack of familiarity with the technology / Protocol, how fast can go us? 100ms? 5ms? 1ms?

    Do I need any special software packages? Can I expect
    the developer of the Profibus card to provide the essential in software
    LabVIEW?

    We use LabVIEW 8.2.1; is it reasonable to expect a profibus card manufacturer to get the code for this version of the software, or is it possible that we have to upgrade?

    Hi BobChuck,

    PROFIBUS boards run the Protocol on board, with resulting very low CPU usage. If you buy a Profibus from a seller at random, you should be able to access the Profibus OPC server which should benefit from this provider. In such a scenario, you can expect the flow of data between 10 ms and ms 200 for all data (depending on the amount of data, the baud rate, implementation of the OPC Server and so on).

    With a card Profibus of NOR comes a set of screws that will interface directly to the Board of Directors, leading at the speed of communication much more high. This can be as low as 1 ms for all data, but there still depends on several factors. Still, you should expect a 10 x performance gain using the LabVIEW interface directly from the OPC. In addition these boards can also be used with LabVIEW RealTime.

  • Some basic questions on TestStand

    I'm new on the test stand and I just finished my first sequence. I have some questions on how to do better.

    My sequence steps about 100 it is running. One of the steps that happen quite frequently is a break so that the previous output VI can take effect. Right now I use a VI with one that takes an integer as an input and makes a break during this time. Is there a more elegant way to do it?

    VI another I use saves some data and runs all the 6 step or so. The only difference between each execution is a setting of path for the filling of journal to be issued. I wish that the sequence to be as clean and well placed as possible. Is there a clever way to short-circuit the number of steps down?

    Basically, it seems that you have basically 3 things that could potentially happen: travel, Journal, break sensor.

    So why not create a data type for every thing.  For example, your MoveSensor data type would be a container that looks like this:

    MoveSensor

    Boolean SensorFlag

    Digital NewPosition

    Digital CurrentPosition

    etc...

    Your Log data type would look like this:

    Boolean LogFlag

    String FilePath

    Digital time

    etc...

    Your break would be just a number (PauseTime)

    Then, you bring a container with each type of data into it.  And then do a table of these containers.

    Now by using the ForEach flow control step type, you can iterate through the table.  The pseudo code would look like this:

    ForEach item in my table

    If CurrentElement.MoveSensor.SensorFlag is true

    MoveSensor to CurrentElement.MoveSensor.NewPosition

    CurrentElement.MoveSensor.CurrentPosition is equal to the new position

    If LogFlag is true

    Log LogPath (maybe the loop on that for a certain period of time)

    Wait (CurrentElement.PauseTime) set to 0 if you do not need to take a break

    End ForEach

    This way you would add just the elements in the table.  You can also write the array a property object (read about those in the help) file and the test, just read in a different property object file that would fill your table with different values in function.

  • Windows Media Center - Internet TV - availability and navigation of the full episodes.

    With regard to the full episodes of Windows Media Center - Internet TV.

    I've seen a few questions about this in the Microsoft Answers forum, but 2 / 3 times the official response was unrelated to the question asked. So, to be clear, I'm not talking about watching live TV, navigation in my TV guide, TV recording, or watch recorded TV shows. It's strictly about the availability of the property and to navigate to find full episodes on Internet TV.

    There are a few ridiculous clips ginormous and only a small handful of full episodes. I hate clips. In a busy life, they are the opposite of the useful. So, instead of going through every single show individually to see if it contains full episodes, I want a way to browse shows with full episodes. Is this a problem of training or an enhancement request? Is there a way to filter the full episodes only?

    I would also like to be able to filter my search of full episodes. It seems ridiculous to me if I want to just full episodes, I have to go through a long list of clips in the search results to find. Again... ask for the issue or the development of training?

    I'm also confused why some shows that have full episodes on the site of the network do not have full episodes in WMC Internet TV. I know it's a matter of content and perhaps not something, you can contact... is it be restricted by networks?

    All the content comes from the provider.  I hate watching the clips too and there is not much Microsoft can do about it. It is sometimes frustrating to go through all the clips to find full episodes. The only thing you can do is to provide feedback to microsoft to enhance the functionality of Media Center search to find full episodes.
