L2L full Tunnel
Hello
I'm curious to know if there is a way to make a complete tunnel for an L2L option. I need to have Internet all traffic through a reliable Internet connection. I know I can do this practice GRE over IPSec, but was hoping for an alternative solution.

Hey Killian,
When you create a LAN-to-LAN tunnel, you set the protected in the ACL crypto traffic, so if you do not want to send all traffic through the LAN-to-LAN tunnel, then follow these steps:
HostName (config) # ip 192.168.0.0 allowed extended access list l2l_list 255.255.0.0 any
HostName (config) # crypto abcmap 1 match address l2l_list map
192.168.0.0/16 corresponding to your LAN.

I have a problem of configuration of the CISCO ASA 5512-x (IOS 8.6).
The IPsec tunnel is created between ASA and an another non-CISCO router (hereinafter "router"). I can send packets ping from router to ASA, but ASA is NOT able to meet these demands. Sending requests of ASA is also NOT possible.
I'm trying to interconnect with the network 192.168.2.0/24 (CISCO, interface DMZ) premises and 192.168.3.0/24 (router).
The CISCO ASA has a static public IP address. The router has a dynamic IP address, so I use the dynamic-map option...

Do you have an idea that I am wrong? Probably some bad NAT/ACL I suppose, but I could always find something only for 8.4 iOS and not 8.6... Perhaps and no doubt I already missed the configuration with the unwanted controls, but I've tried various things...

I've never used "global" option in ACL, but it looks to be the origin of the problem. Cisco doc.
"The global access rules are defined as a special ACL that is processed for each interface on the device for incoming traffic in the interface. Thus, although the ACL is configured once on the device, it acts as an ACL defined for Management In secondary interface-specific. (Global rules are always in the direction of In, never Out Management). "
You ACL: access-list extended dmz_acl to any any icmp echo
For example, when you launch the ASA, there is an echo response from the router on the external interface--> global can block.
Then to initiate router, the ASA Launches echo-reply being blocked again.
Try to add permit-response to echo as well.
In addition, you can use both "inspect icmp" in world politics than the ACL.
If none does not work, you can run another t-shoot with control packet - trace on SAA.

internal hosts cannot access the internet w / L2L configured tunnel
The internal hosts behind the ASA cannot access the internet with a configured tunnel to L2L. The L2L tunnel is mounted and passing traffic correctly. However, the internal host cannot access the internet through the ASA. I think I have my NAT watered somewhere. I can't even a host statically mapped to the internet. It might be because I'm used to having a WAN IP to the external interface which differs by the CIDR block assigned by the ISP. In this case, it's all together, with the ASA outside interface occupying the first available address.
We have been assigned a CIDR range x.x.x.64/28. x.x.x.65 is my front door and my first usable est.68, by the PSI (I guess what they utilisent.66 et.67 for internal use). External interface of the ASA est.68 and I'm trying to get NAT others. I'm Polo all DHCP clients internal and have some static entries as well. Below is the relevant NAT config. Yet once, all traffic passes above the tunnel properly, but not from inside to outside. If more information is needed, please advise.

ASA supports only the RFC compliant method for updates used with dynamic DNS, not updates HTTP, such as dyndns.org and others use.
i.e. https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCsk25102/?reffering_site=dumpcrOn ASA, it is not possible to configure the tunnel between two dynamic peers.
You will need to have a static end to configure static to dynamic IP.For routers, you can follow this link.

How L2L WCCP vpn tunnel? If there is a Web page on the otherside of the tunnel that I need access on ports 80 and 443, it goes through the process of WCCP. How will I know the traffic through the tunnel for 80 and 443 to ignore the WCCP?

I have not had to deal with WCCP on the SAA configurations as it, but to my knowledge, this could be done in the ACL that is used in configuring WCCP on the SAA.
I mean a single montage we have has an ACL that simply bypasses the WCCP for some destination addresses.
The ACL was originally for example
WCCP ip access list allow a whole
Then we had to stop it for some destination network and we would add a Deny statement at the top of the ACL

L2l VPN tunnel is reset during the generate a new IPSec key
I have a tunnel VPN L2L that resets completely, start with Phase 1, at the expiration of the timer of the IPSec Security Association. Although there are several SAs, it always resets all of the tunnel.
I see the following in the log errors when this happens:

Both the log messages seems to suggest that the remote end is closed/compensation connection.
Is this a new connection that suffer from this problem or has it started on an existing connection?
The Cisco documentation associated with the Syslog messages does really not all useful information about these log messages.
I guess that your problem is that TCP by L2L VPN connections suffer from the complete renegotiations of the L2L VPN.
I wonder if the following configuration can help even if this situation persists
Sysopt preserve-vpn-flow of connection
Here is a link to the order of the ASA reference (8, 4-8, 6 software) with a better explanation of this configuration.

The L2L VPN Tunnels on several external Interfaces ISP
Due to special circumstances, we have 2 links on an ASA5510 ISP. I'm trying to put an end to some VPN L2L tunnels on a link and others on the second link of Internet service provider, for example below:

On ISP_2
1. peer device 3.3.3.3 establishes a VPN tunnel, but the return traffic does NOT get back to devices 3.3.3.3 tunnel.
2. the local firewall does NOT establish a VPN tunnel to 3.3.3.3
It suggests that the problems lies with this firewall multihomed do not direct traffic properly on back down and VPN tunnel of workbenches (point1) or to trigger a tunnel if there is (point 2).
Reconfiguration of the VPN tunnel to 3.3.3.3 counterpart to be on the local firewall, all the springs in the life ISP_1! All ideas, there are enough license etc...
Another way you need is the subnet of destination on VPN_ACL_B to be routed to ISP_2 as well.
So you must send the address of peers (in your case 3.3.3.3) and the remote subnet (in your destination subnet case VPN_ACL_B) at 2.2.2.254

L2L ASA tunnel upward, no traffic (or one way...)
I have two ASA 5505, 8.2 (1), call the HQ and BRANCH. HQ is a L2L towards a third point, and that one works fine.
Now I'm setting up a VPN L2L between HQ and BRANCH. The tunnel rises (passes, phases 1 and 2), but I can't ping from both ends.
HS cry isa his looks like 100% ok
Cree SH ips its shows that HQ has only decaps, while the branch has only the program. If HQ looks like the main suspect for me (even with his other L2L works very well).

AnyConnect VPN full tunnel could not access the site to site VPN
I have a set of AnyConnect VPN upward with no split tunneling (U-turning/crossed traffic), running 8.2.5 code.
It works fine, but I want to allow customers to AnyConnect VPN site to site, which I was unable to access.
I checked the IP addresses of network anyconnect are part of the tunnel on both sides.
My logic tells me that I must not turn back traffic from the network anyconnect for the site to site VPN, but I don't know how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Internet access full tunnel - ASA5505
On the side of SOHO is an ASA 5505. The head end is an ASA 5505.
Version of the code on both is 8.2 (5).
The VPN method is NEM.
Traffic can pass from inside the 5505 network, but it cannot go to the internet. In particular, anything on the "no nat acl," which gets automatically applied to a declaration of nat when the vpnclient is put in place, works. Else died in the nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 statement.
That dictates that no nat acl that applies to nat 0 on 5505 using NEM? I know it's in the config of your head somewhere, but I don't know where.

I believe that in the current situation, you would have to configure PAT dynamic for users at the central site for Internet traffic if all traffic is sent through tunnel through the VPN connection.
You would essentially have to do nat between 'outside' and 'outside' interface and enable the setting "permit same-security-traffic intra-interface".
NAT configuration can be something like
NAT (outside) 1
If it already exists
Global 1 interface (outside)
I still don't know what you mean with the initial issue of NAT0.

Using VPN L2L static and dynamic dedicated tunnels
We have an ASA 5510 running 8.0 at our company headquarters. We have remote sites who need to create VPN L2L at the HQ ASA tunnels. Some remote sites have static IP addresses and others have dynamic IP addresses.
I found documentation Cisco L2L static IP VPN tunnels and make them work. I found another Cisco documentation for static IP dynamic L2L VPN tunnels using the tunnel-group "DefaultL2LGroup".
My question is, can you have two types of tunnels on the same ASA L2L? If so, simply by using the definitions of "DefaultL2LGroup" tunnel-group and
of tunnel-group work? Is there a reason to not do? Is better technology (ASA HQ and a combination of ASA 5505 and 1861 at remote sites) available? Yes, you can have both types of tunnels L2L. If you use a PSK - remember that the IP address of the remote site is used to 'validate' to connect to Headquarters. As long as you use a sure PSK = 64 characters and all with upper/lower case alpha numeric - you should be OK.
A better way to do it - is to get the static IP addresses for the site that currently have DHCP from ISP.

Connection 1 and 3 represent the traffic going in and out, ESP that sit directly on the IP header, so there is no port information.
Connection 2 represent IKE messages that are exchanging messages on port UDP 500.

Decision on DMVPN and L2L simple IPsec tunnels
I have a project where I need to make a decision on which solution to implement... environment is as follows...
- 4 branches.
- Each branch has 2 subnets; one for DATA and another for VOICE
- 2 ISPS in each (an Internet access provider and a provider of MPLS)
- Branch #1 isn't necessarily the HUB office that all database servers and files are there are
- Branch #2 is actually where the phone equipment
- Other 2 branches are just branches speaks (may not need never DATA interconnectivy, but they do need interconnection VOICE when they call since we spoke directly to the other)
- MPLS is currently used for telephone traffic.
- ISP provider link is used for site to site tunnels that traverse the internet, and it is the primary path for DATA. Means that all branch DATA subnets use the tunnels from site to site as main road to join the #1 branch where all files and databases are located.
- I'd like to have redundancy in case the network MPLS down for all traffic VOICE switch to L2L tunnels.
My #1 Option
Because it isn't really a star to the need, I don't really know if I want to apply DMVPN, although I read great things about it. In addition, another reason, I would have perhaps against DMVPN is the 'delay' involved, at least during initialization, communications having spoke-to-spoke. There is always a broken package when a department wants to initiate communication with one another.
My #2 Option
My other choice is just deploy L2L IPSec tunnels between all 4 branches. It's certainly much easier to install than DMVPN although DMVPN can without routing protocols that I think I'll need. But with these Plains L2L IPSec tunnels, I can also add the GRE tunnels and the routing of traffic protocols it as well as all multicast traffic. In addition, I can easily install simple IP SLA that will keep all tunnels upwards forever.
Can someone please help to choose one over the other is? or if I'm just okay with the realization of the #2 option

Yes, OSPF will send periodic packets 'Hello' and they will maintain the tunnels at all times.
The numbers that you see (143 and 1001) are the "cost" of the track, so OSPF (Simplified) will calculate what different paths there are to a destination and assign each of them a 'cost' (by assigning a cost to each segment of the path, for example GigabitEthernet is "lower cost" Fastethernet and then adding the costs of all segments).
Then it will take the path to the lowest cost (143 in your case, in normal operation) and insert this in the routing table.
So since traffic is already going the right way, I don't know if you still need any tweaking? Personally, I would not add a second routing protocol because, generally, makes things more complicated.
QoS, it is important to use "prior qos rank".
