L2Z17PA #ABG: HP Envy 15 - very slow start with Windows 10

Since start installation Windows 10 times is extremely long, and usually the machine seems to be slow loading applications.

I checked that Fast Start is turned on.

Any suggestions to solve the popular situation.

See you soon

Thank you

A combination of win 10 updates and by disabling some applications start has improved things.

    Hello

I spent the last few days the net trying to find a solution to the boot of win7 very slow but have led to nothing so far trawling.
Im running Win7 Pro in bootcamp on a Macbook Pro with an SSD and 16 GB of RAM, but don't get a time horribly slow start, including a screen black (with usable mouse) for a long time before the watch office. I am not able to do a reinstall but would like to get the issue resolved if possible.

So far, I checked the event viewer to see there are problems and I don't see anything significant that the mere fact that each entry includes an 'Error' level, but I don't see what this error. I also used the process monitor to see what takes so long and there are a couple of processes which are time consuming and show a result 'Cancelled', one being svchost.exe 110secs (path: ...system32\drivers\etc) and the other 23secs Explorer.exe (path: ...appdata\roaming\microsoft\systemcertificates\my)
I should mention that I'm very new to this kind of troubleshooting but would appreciate any help I can get!
    Thank you!

  • Very slow performance with Windows 7 on i7 Quad

I bought my wife a Lenovo E530 i7 quad with screen 1600 x 900 and running Win 7 in September 2012. Previously, she had an Asus Core 2 Duo also with Win 7. The laptop is used to picture (scanning, editing, cataloging) work, family, the navigation and email history.

The E530 was desperately slow at the beginning. Not better, not faster than the Asus. Performance seems to vary from slow to excruciatingly slow.

    Features include:

    -very slow to open programs

-slow to react to the choice of menus and clicks

-slow to react to the touchpad

-scrolling is not smooth, vibrates, much worse than Asus

-often distorts the sound and video, audio stutters

-IE9 make often video has properly - green band across the bottom with the rest of the colors shifted upward - change the video quality will fix it sometimes

-very slow internet response compared to the other machines on the same network of navigation.

However, startup speed seems to be OK.

I spent weeks (months?) through the forums, verification of updates, deletion and restoration of various programs and drivers looking for driver clashes. I tried the clean boot with only Windows drivers and various other combinations, and it made no difference.

For a long time wifi would be max 54 Mbps but somewhere through the process he begins to operate at up to 300Mbps.

Nothing seems to stand out in reports on health of the system and the event viewer. Windows experience scores seem to be everything I expected from my older i7.

Resources and performance monitor reports a problem with the hard drive:

The average disk queue length = Max 16 = 106

    %Idle = 0

    Disk read/s Ave = 0.093 Max = 3

    Disk sec/Transfer Ave = 0,067 Max = 1

    Disk s/write = 0.022 Ave

Even when the computer runs slower the CPU usage, and memory usage is not mounted and ceiling ever.

SFC report any breach of integrity.

FixIt MS - slow performance does not detect any problems.

The disk check is not a problem any.

It's so frustrating that my wife threatens to throw it in the trash and buy a Mac (the horrors :-)).

Any ideas on what I might have missed or what I should look at?

    Thank you

Wish I had a 128 GB SSD. I suppose you see a serious helping hand to the performance of the system.

  • Very slow journal with Windows 7 Home Premium on HP laptop

I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  Recently (last week or almost) the connection seems to be ultra slow, about 5 minutes to get the login and about 30 minutes before the laptop is usable.

HARD drive runs flat all the time.  Laptop HP, i7, 8 G RAM, 1 G vid.

Reviewed recent events in this moment:

    Update Norton 360

    IE 9 support

    Windows 7 service pack

Last night I deloaded and reloaded Norton without effect.  A MS updated with another patch is new support for Windows 7, with no improvement.  If anyone else has had this problem and possible solutions don't know?  I noticed an error with USB drivers participated during the Win 7 patch load.  Maybe I need to try to unplug my USB keyboard and USB mouse to see if it has an impact.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

Download and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)

Some malware is installing the entries of proxy server redirecting internet connections. If you encounter this problem step 2 see in the following link:

  • Skype no longer starts with Windows, no more automatic connection (also very slow start)

I can't deal with the bug of 'mark as read' but Skype no longer starts with Windows (even though it says that it should in msconfig) and there more no option password/auto login as before to remember. Skype always started automatically before 7.17, and it took a few seconds to start. Now, it takes about 2 minutes to click on the icon to connect. What is the problem with this version? Fortunately I've never known messages in the wrong order-bug.

    I use Windows 8.1.

The sign of the Auto option should be available in the tools of-> Options-> General settings.

  • Satellite C660-1CN - touchpad do not start with Windows

    Hello
    I have problem with Toshiba Satellite C660 - 1CN PSC0QE.

Touchpad do not start with Windows 7 Home Premium.
All the drivers are up to date.
    BIOS - lastest.

After logon, I need to click on * double * "FN + F9" and after it is OK until the next reboot.

    I tried:
several drivers of Synaptics - no change.
    Reinstall Windows - no change.
Mini Windows XP Hiren - no work.
    Default BIOS - no change

After that I installed 'toshiba value added package' I can't turn on the touch pad at all.

To be honest, I never heard the show. According to specification for laptop, your laptop came with Win7 home premium 64-bit. With factory settings touchpad should be activated after the OS has started.
I can read you have reinstalled Windows. Have you reinstalled with the original recovery image and tested with factory settings?

  • When I start with Windows XP Home Edition, the screen appears, only the mouse arrow. Help!

When I start with Windows XP Home Edition, the screen appears, only the mouse arrow.  Help!

    Hi stevejager,

    ·         Remember to make changes?

    ·         You receive an error when starting?

    ·         Have you tried booting in safe mode?

Method 1: First of all, we will try to start the computer in last good known Configuration and see if it boots.

Method 2: If it is impossible to start, try to start in safe mode. If able to start and then try to perform a System Restore, since this is a recent problem that has occurred.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the below article mentioned.

Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

  • ExpressCache must start with Windows?

For the life of me, I can't find how to prevent ExpressCache to start with Windows. There is no option in the program itself, there is no entry in MSConfig, and it is not in the startup folder in the start menu.

    (1) is there a way to prevent the program from starting at startup?
    (2) if I found a way to prevent it from running, the caching service would still go in the background at all, or is it completely related to the program.

It is not really as long as the program running at startup that bothers me, is that it triggers a message control user account I click on in order to run. Unless I completely turn user account controls, you will see the message EVERY time you start Windows.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to stop to run at startup to the top at the moment. the next version will be an option to disable automatic runs at startup. until it came out the only thing you can do is to modify the UAC to never notify.

  • Satellite L650-12 q - slow very slow start & preformance

My laptop is a Satellite L650-12 q with Windows 7 home premium 64-bit, intel core i5 - 43 M and 4096 MB of RAM. It works very well but begins to be a little slow last weekend, I've defragmented it and it got a little better. Then two days ago you 22mins at startup (& login) and an another 7 minutes just to open all programs. It is slow to seriously.

I have defraged there once again, run the Tuneup Utilities (who says there is nothing to the difficulty to start), run my antivirus & anti-malware and it starts in safe mode. Even to start diagnosis and almost all startup programs off it makes virtually no difference.

In total, it takes 10 minutes to get from the start 'windows' to my login screen then another 5 to get to my office. If I want to open a document in word or firefox, then yet another 3-5 minutes so he can come and start running slowly. Does not better it's on, but not by much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's to tell me that it's time to get a new laptop :)

No, it is not the time for the new laptop computer.
Of course we don t know how did you use your laptop, what additional software you installed and how you configured OS so in my opinion, better than you can do now is to back up all important data and install the OS by using original Toshiba recovery image.

After doing this you will own preinstalled OS and everything should be OK again. Please test a few days without changes and post comments.
