L855-12z - original theme of Toshiba Satellite lost after re-installing windows

Hi guys,.

I'm new here, I used my laptop for 3 years and yesterday I decided to reinstall the windows, the only problem is that I lost the original theme of Toshiba and that it does not. Could someone answer me what can I do

All the best

When you reinstall windows using original recovery image and use laptop with all factory settings must be the same as before.

You have installed Windows using original recovery image or say installing Microsoft?

Red flag.  CCcleaner.  If you used to "clean" your registry database, which can cause problems.  CCcleaner is also a good program, but registry cleaners do not help and remove what they think are "unused" entries in the registry that can cause problems later.

Try to download the Real Player and see if that corrects your problem, but if it is not, you may need to restore your computer to the factory settings by your user guide's instructions.

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. External hard drives 1 TB are about $85 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

  • Satellite A200-1YO - problems installing Windows XP Home edition

    Hi guys,.

First of all I'm new here so Hello to everyone here and I hope you can help me with my problems of software.

I recently bought a laptop model Toshiba Satellite A200-1YO provided with windows vista (which must be frank, pants and IMO too demanding for the machine) and I have a problem with vista, because some of its features do not seem to work, for example, I'm having a lot of trouble getting some of the webpages to open now, they simply hang out.

now, I didn't install windows xp but I don't have an external floppy drive. This is not a problem but because I can use Nlite to integrate the drivers in a new ISO of Windows XP.

The problem is that I have 4 sets of drivers: ICH7M_32bit, ICH7M_64bit, ICH8M_32bit and ICH8M_64bit. As I install Windows XP 32-bit while I'm more or less some that I have not need 64-bit drivers but when I install Windows XP by using the modified version of windows xp slipstreamed, what I get at startup is a BSD error telling me that something has crashed on my hard drive , however I can't say which crashed as the screen disappears after 15 seconds if that so I guess there is something wrong with the drivers I use (though I must admit that I'm not sure the drivers 32-bit to use)

advice and assistance regarding being able to install windows xp would be welcome, as I said above, however, I can only use Nlite since I do not have a usb floppy drive.

Satellite A200-1YO has a chip with the ICH8M southbridge Intel GM965.

So you need the driver for SATA ICH8M_32bit.

  • The laptop recovery Toshiba Satellite L505-S5997 problem error: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device

I have a Toshiba Satellite L505-S5997 computer laptop and my hardrive recently crushed, impossible to restart.  I installed a SEAGATE 500 GB/sata/GO 16 MB of Cache, 7200 RPM hard drive. I ordered recovery for the computer disks and many of the drivers will not update or install without error that tells me that "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) "error.  Also, when I try to update Windows 7 I get the ' Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. "  You may have to restart your computer. "When I try to download the service pack from the Web site it is usually interrupted with another error.  I tried to go to the Toshiba website and download the drivers needed and utitilities but nothing seems to work.  I am at a loss to try to seek and find a solution.

Are you sure that the original problem was caused by a failure of the HD, did you test that the hd with the utility bootable disk from audit?

As if you reinstalled to a new HD using that the required all defined recovery Tosh disk drivers would have been installed in this process.

Assuming that Tosh then rebooted successfully after recovery, windows update would have run some important updates automatically. If that failed then it would seem that something is happening with your system.

Sorry, but these are the HP forums, not Toshiba forums.

Many older laptop computers HP does not fare well with the upgrade of Win10, and therefore, we advise people AGAINST doing the upgrade.

Don't know about Toshiba laptops - you should check out THEIR forums for technical advice.

    Good luck

  • Toshiba Satellite C665D-S5048 computer laptop Windows 7 key COA faded

    Hello

My Windows 7 key is dimmed on my computer Toshiba laptop model Satellite C655D-S5048 and runs Windows 7 Home Premium OA.

My problem is my hard drive is completely broke down on me which means that the computer no longer detects it, and I'll get a new hard drive. Is there a way for me to use a copy of retail of Windows 7 friends to install my version if it's Windows 7 Home Premium, and would it still work if the product key has already been used on the computer before?

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

  • Re: Satellite U500 - can I install Windows XP?

Have recently bought a Toshiba Satellite U500 laptop. It came with Windows 7. It is very unstable. Programs that don't crash XP, crash regularly in Windows 7. Including Windows Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer (especially painful if you have run a great search).
I hate the way that it is unstable on where he puts the files. I hate the way it hides files and blocks access to others. My list of complaints about Windows 7 is too long to list here.

Is there a version of XP that I can install on this laptop?

    Hello

Generally speaking, it of depending on your model of laptop you exactly what Satellite U500?

Before you install another operating system make sure that you can get all the drivers for the new operating system in order to check the Toshiba page first.
For U500 XP drivers are available according to the official website of Toshiba, so it seems that he supported s. Just download all the drivers and tools and install them after the installation of Windows XP, but install the SP3 for XP before you begin with the installation of the driver.

By the way: Please create Toshiba Recovery disk before you install another OS. In case you want Windows 7 back you can use this disk to restore the original settings.

    Hello

Please see the Knowledge Base Microsoft for all BSOD codes:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/324103

In any case, this means that you have integrated a bad driver AHCI or you don t use a.
The point is before installing Windows XP, you need the right driver AHCI because otherwise you will get a BSOD or your HARD drive will not be recognized.
On laptops equipped with Intel chipset, you need the Intel Storage Manager driver package because it contains the correct driver for you. You can download it on the Toshiba site or the Intel Web site.

The drivers, you can copy on an external floppy drive and then you load it after booting from the XP disc by pressing F6. Or you create a new installation with our own drivers disc, and then you don't need an external floppy drive. For this, you can use nLite.

Finally and most importantly, I think that this Toshiba link might be useful for you:

  • Satellite Pro L20 - cannot install Windows XP

    Hello!

I discovered this great forum and wanted to try my luck with the following problem. Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I do a clean install of Windows XP on my Toshiba Satellite Pro LP20. I don't have the original Windows XP cd that came with the computer, but have you tried many (legitimate) copies of Windows XP with the same result:

The first step of the installation works fine, IE. files are copied from the CD to the hard drive and the computer restarts once the process is complete. However, during the restart to calculate, is wrong on the second phase of the facility (where continues the installation of windows XP graphic), but goes back to the DOS file copy process. This means, even if the files have been successfully copied from the CD to the hard drive, the computer does not recognize that there is a current operating system.

The problem is not in the boot order, like the HARD drive is my number 1 option, and tried without the installation Cd in the drive. In this case the computer says only: "no operating system found".

Where is the problem? Is this a problem of motherboard BIOS, or do you recon that the HARD disk is somehow broken? I know that the problem is not in the XP installation CD, because it works fine on other computers.

    Thank you!

It's not easy to say what is the problem and what are the causes of the problem.
You can try another drive to install Microsoft?

In my opinion, it could be a problem with the HARD drive. Then you should check this with the Drive Fitness Test.
Google for this test, it of quite easy to use.

  • Satellite P300 - how to install Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello

I had a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade for my P300 which was under Vista 32 bit. During installation, asked me if I wanted to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 and I chose 32-bit. Installation worked fine.

Now (moths later) I decided that I would like to install the 64-bit version instead. I have an own (custom) settled by booting from the DVD, but it don't did me not option for the moment and all re-installed Windows 7 32 bit. I know that the 64-bit version is on the DVD (there is a folder for it) - how to start from the DVD and have it install the 64 bit version?
I didn't format the drive when you perform the clean installation - if I do that it will give me the option?

    Thank you
    Ben.

    Great news, mate! :)

Thank you for this feedback. I'll test it on my Satellite P300 I want to upgrade to Windows 7 too.

In addition, an upgrade is possible to the same version: This means that Vista 32 bit can only be upgraded to 32-bit Windows 7. On 64 bit it s the same ;)
