LabVIEW 2016 NI_ReportGenerationToolkit error

I upgraded to Labview 2015-2016, but when you open one having previously worked for the project I now see an error in the NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Excel_Save_Workbook.vi.

He tells me that the invoke node contains terminal unwired or bad.  However, it's a NOR provided VI and has not been changed between updates. Please let me know if it is a solvable issue.

Take a look at this thread.

After you install on a Windows 7 computer, I get the following errors when opening the program.

  • Executables LabVIEW 2016

    Hello

I installed LabVIEW 2016 from 2015.  However, when I deploy my project it does not work.

After some debugging, I found that it is because of the Application.Kind.  Instead of Application.Kind "Run-time" to return it now says "kind of application not valid."  Is this a known issue?  Is there a better way to determine the path?

    Thank you, Sean

In 32-bit LV2016, it works for me.  You have the cluster of wired error upward?  If so, a mistake in inbound would result in this kind of invalid application of return.

  • LabVIEW code 3 error: could not load façade.

    Hello

I was the second time the "LabVIEW code 3 error: could not load before sign.» When you use the development of LabVIEW 2009 SP1 environment.

It's really annoying that I waste time as I have to go back to previously saved code.

Does anyone know where it comes from and how to avoid it?

    Thank you

    Pawel

    Pawel,

If the façade is damaged, there is little that we can really do about it. So the best thing is to make sure that the front will never get corrupted at all.

You can write a small VI using VI Server to check the position of the element in your VI. If there is way to positions of reposition before saving the VI.

Another reason could be much, duplication of controls (including the faulty XControls?)...

    hope this helps,

  • LabVIEW 2016 high RAM usage

I just upgraded to LabVIEW LabVIEW 2015 2016. Previously, I had no problem of memory. With 2016, however, even though I have a few screws open, rest, only LabVIEW uses 3 GB of my RAM. As I only have 4 GB, it slows down my computer to a crawl. Everyone knows these problems with 2016 or someone has a solution to reduce the amount of RAM LabVIEW requires? Thanks for the help.

One of my colleagues has some portable "cheap" that are configured in the same way with minimum memory (4 GB).  Even when you are running Windows XP (which, in my view, is smaller and needs less RAM than, say, Windows 08/07/10), it has been very slow to do anything (can you say 'Wait 5 minutes for the OS to load'?).

When Windows is "do its thing" correctly, it usually creates a swap file so that the software can use more than 4 GB of storage space for himself.  As I have indicated in my answer, LabVIEW 2016, when loading, seems to take a small fraction of this (a few hundred MB), even with the open code diagrams and block.  However, if your PC takes several minutes to start, runs very slowly in doing routine tasks and is an 'old' or ridiculously short of memory, it may be wise to (a) upgrade your memory (if you can), or (b) to upgrade your PC to the less a machine with 8 GB.  Remember, you use the PC to run LabVIEW, a solid programming / Data Acquisition/Platform Instrument I/O, surf the Web, send e-mail, or (hmm, I was going to say 'play', but games moves too, and tend to put more demands on the LabVIEW PC material, so both worse...).

  • Is LabVIEW 2016 fully 64-bit compatible?

Also recently as in 2015 of LabVIEW, the 'conventional wisdom' (which, I admit, I followed myself) was "install LabVIEW to 32 bit on 64 bit Windows , unless you were really given Big stuff on a PC with a lot of memory.  I (bad?) believed that this was particularly important with device drivers and possibly with RT I also (I thought) heard that NEITHER was currently heading LabVIEW on a platform 64-bit "pure".

I wanted to ask OR the week, but in the excitement of it all, I forgot - should now consider us install LabVIEW 64-bit on Windows 10 x 64 platforms?  What LabVIEW RT platforms, including PXI controllers?  [Hmm - I didn't follow my own advice on the Forums and do a simple Google search - just a second...]

OK, the Web seems to say that LabVIEW 2016 has "more support for 64-bit computing".  Maybe now is the time to take another piece of my own advice and "experience" - maybe I'll build a 'pure' 64-bit system and see if I can port my LabVIEW RT code for her...

    Bob Schor

OK, the answer to my question is "No."  NOR, we have

  • How to fix the error of Labview 2016 (32-bit) on Windows 10 database.

    Hello

I have software to read/write of labview (32-bit) database, which works fine on windows xp 2000 / 7 (64-bit). But it is not stable 10 (64-bit) Windows at all.  It pops up an error on most of the time. Please see the attached database VI. After starting my software, usually, there is no error on the face of the database of frist. but it pops up an error when opening the database section. the East-2147418113 error code. It seems that it will be more stable if I put more than a few seconds before you open the second database.

Could someone help me understand how to solve this problem?  Enjoy.

  • Office 2016: Office365ServiceV2 error

Yesterday I spent 5 hours on the 'the Office365ServiceV2 found a problem and must be closed' - error on my new MacBook Pro with El Capitan. The error occurs when you have opened/used Word, Excel or Powerpoint, and then close your Mac. Before I finish, I get this message.  I had excellent Microsoft Support including connect you by technical support for several hours. However, they don't set it. Finally, the conclusion was that I had to contact the Apple Support what I actually did. The first reaction was that I had to contact Microsoft because it's the third party software. Later, the Apple Support was ready to help, I had to remove a few files of Microsoft en restart what has not worked. After that I had to reinstall my MacBook Pro completely en (clean start), and then reinstall Office 2016. Guess what: after 5 hours of work I had my return error!

Someone a idea how to stop this error?

So here's how to fix it

    Terminal Server

    Containers ~/Library/Group

    I think that /Microsoft

There should be 3 files from microsoft.  Renamed in them something of another xxx.old

Start one of the programs to new word, excel etc. re activate and the problem should be resolved

Uninstall and reinstall does not work I can confirm been struggling for weeks

  • VeriStand 2015 will not deploy with Labview created model: error-307703

But after you import the model and connection of all inputs and outputs, he used to "deploy. Gives the error-307703 during the deployment. More information in the log below.

I use Veristand 2015 and LabView 2015 also. I put the inputs and outputs correctly in the connector pane, and when you import the model into Veristand, the inputs and outputs appear correctly. "" When I use the "Tools" NI VeriStand "generate NI VeriStand model of VI ' there is no errors and it creates a LVmodel that I can import into veristand.

Are there steps that I missed? Or troubleshooting tips for tweaking my design to accept a LVmodel?

  • Application Builder in LabVIEW 7.0 error

I maintain a few legacy in LabVIEW 7.0 code.  I recently (maybe in the last month or almost) summer get error 1003 in Dist copies Non - VI Files.vi (part of App Builder) when my building code.  I did a few tests, including building much more simple screw and get the same error.  Oddly enough, this happens on several machines (Windows XP SP3) both 'real' and 'virtual', especially on two of the three facilities on a single PC (so it is not hardware dependent).

I have a strong suspicion that the problem is not my code NI LabVIEW himself, according to the following logic: 1) this problem on multiple PCs at the same time (that is, I don't remember seeing this a few months ago now, I see it on almost all of my PC).  2) there are two PC where I do not see this error - when I check the installation of LabVIEW files between a PC that 'works' and the other does not, the differences seem (to me) are low, more related to "what I did recently" or "how many MAX did install, drivers.  (3) to help or not in my code mades OpenG no difference, or turn off the anti-virus scans.

I tried two other things.  First of all, I have a VM that I build recently (which I think is significant) which has both LabVIEW 7.0 and 7.1 of LabVIEW.  Compilation fails with LabVIEW 7.0, but succeeds with LabVIEW 7.1.  In addition, I found a virtual machine, built a year ago and 'rest', with LabVIEW 7.0 on this.  I pulled up, did not allow Microsoft Update to update anything and tried build with LabVIEW 7.0 - it worked!

My working hypothesis is that a "patch" installed by Microsoft (.NET? ActiveX?) has made something wrong in the Application LabVIEW 7.0 Build.  Unfortunately, the screw which make up this application is protected by password, so I don't see not "in" to find out what file or other condition is responsible for the error message.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  [Does not suggest "Upgrade to 7.1" - I am the only 'responsible' of several PCs and several applications, including some running on the systems 'belonging' to others.]  I am rewriting the code in "Modern LabVIEW" (2011) and it will be port widely, but from here, it is not possible (or "politically correct") to 7.0-> 7.1 shift...  In addition, my curiosity is piqued!]

  • Error-18004; Access to the DLL of the LabVIEW Run-Time Error engine. TS 4.2.1 / LV 2010

When I try to run a VI that is reentrant in an execution at the same time, I get this error.  The details of the error is: LabVIEW: the method or property is not supported in this version of LabVIEW.

This is performed under the LV 2010 Simple operator Interface.  The TestStand engine is version 4.2.1 with runtime adapter 2010 LV.

If I save to an earlier version to LV 2009 SP1, then assign the adapter TS 9.0.1 (2009 SP1), it works.

Can anyone reproduce this error (bug?)?

you have the latest updates for TestStand using LabVIEW 2010?

  • Python, call DLLs in LabVIEW: Fatal internal error when accessing output String Cluster

    Hello

We have compiled a DLL in LabVIEW (TestError.dll) and tried to call it from Python.

    TestError.dll includes 2 functions:

1 testErreur: cluster 1 entry string, 1 channel indicator

2 TestError2: 1 channel input, 1 bunch of output string

What we try to do in Python is actually something like this:

1 provide values to controls in the functions of the DLL.

    2. call the DLL.

3 get the values of the indicators.

    What we have seen are:

1 read/write operations on normal data types (string, digital) indicators/controls are OK

    2. write operation on the Cluster string entry is OK

    3. read operation on the Cluster output string is not OK. The following error is still prompted for:

    «Unrecoverable internal error: 'MemoryManager.cpp', line 437.» LabVIEW version 8.6... »

Also joined the TestError.prj and python code.

Grateful if someone can help to explain why we get this error and how to overcome?

    Thank you

    howmean

It is very logical that it does not, and the bad news is, it cannot really be implemented reliable of a process not LabVIEW.

LabVIEW channels (and tables) are very specific species. They are then called handles, which are pointers to a pointer to a block of memory. If you have a control or indicator on its own, the Prototype configuration allows you to configure this setting as a C. LabVIEW data pointer, when creating the DLL, create heels C for each exported function and place the code to do the translation between the past C pointer to and necessary LabVIEW data handle. For strings and arrays within the cluster, there is no configuration option and the DLL is expected to pass a structure with data handles native LabVIEW in there.

You may say that creating handles data in your calling process enough to trick LabVIEW. For the input variables that actually CAN sometimes work (but is a delicate and dangerous generally to handle this). There is no way to make it work for output variables. LabVIEW will try to resize handle to fill data in that he wants to make. This resizing is done using internal memory manager of LabVIEW. This will work only if it had been allocated by EXACTLY the same instance of the memory manager. Otherwise, it refers to a different memory segment and catastophally fail. The only way to make this work perhaps, with luck, taking your heart and prayer to the gods, is to lvrt.dll to allocate a handle that you must pass to the DLL. Still find the good lvrt.dll, which will execute your DLL LabVIEW is a major challenge.

  • LabVIEW buffer overflow error

I'm using LabView 2010 and everytime I go to collect data using my VI, after a few minutes of data, I get a buffer overrun indicating error, and stops data acquisition.

How can I get to stop this?

Also, my VI is configured to 10 samples per second and an average of these output 10... then I need 10 averages per minute. It does not appear to be part correctly. Can someone tell me how to fix it?

Start by getting rid of all xvis I think I showed that this code serves no useful purpose. Do not. Replace them with all the functions, just throw the blue icons. CTRL Space ctrl r. gone poof. The rest will work out pretty easy once these pigs is no longer slow down useful processes.
