LabVIEW 32-bit on Seven 64 bit

Hello

I need to buy a PC and I can not find a version to Windows Seven 64-bit.

My Labview license is 32-bit.

It will work you there or are you there a way to choose 32-bit or 64-bit on the Pc or Labview?

(Pc is preinstalled)

Thank you

Daniel

Plug-in LabVIEW 2010 and 2011 (32 bits) on Windows 7 (64-bit) without any problem.

  • LabVIEW LabVIEW 32 bit 64 bit v to deploy executables

    Hello everyone,

I am a 64-bit computer, but looking to deploy an executable that can used on PC 64-bit or 32-bit.

Whatever if I use 64-bit LabVIEW, i.e. is it less reliable running on 32-bit?

    Rgds,

    Sean

Only 32-bit executables can run on both. You use LabVIEW 32-bit anyway.

(32-bit LabVIEW has much better support driver and the Toolbox and is more widely used. This makes them more stable and well tested. It works perfectly on a 64 bit OS and you can use up to 4 GB of memory when running on a 64-bit OS (Details).

LabVIEW 64 bit is still a niche product that is only really needed if you need the huge address space (> 4 GB) it provides.)

  • Sending of LabVIEW 8-bit unsigned integers

    Hello

I send a bytestream of the pixel values in LabVIEW to a C program through TCP connection. I was wondering if this code really sends uint8 data or not, because when I read the data with a console in C application, 3/4 values are zero, as shown in the image below:

and then, when I pass the Boolean expression to send a 32-bit unsigned integer values, only 1/4 values are values null instead. This block is really send uint8 values? :

    The VI is uploadet.

In fact, you always sending 32 bits, because your cast to this type 8-bit data (see red dots).

You perform the conversion to string within the structure of the case, something like this:

  • LabVIEW 32-bit and Vista 64 registry read

    Hi all

Having a problem with the reading of the registry to a 64-bit Vista with a LabVIEW 8.X EXE 32-bit machine.

I read a little on the issues.  Can anyone tell me is there a work around with LabVIEW 8.X?

I understand that Vista 64 divides the 32-bit registry and a 64-bit version.  Is it not possible to access (read/write) the 32-bit version of the registry by using a 32-bit application?

    See you soon,.

    Battler.

I have reproduced the whole of the hierarchy, but in this ZIp file is .vi ACI - WinAPI - open registry key (WOW64 support) (in the WinAPI\Registry folder).  It's almost a drop in replacement for the standard NI Open Registry Key VI (8.6).

It has a new option - access register.  You can select Native, 32-bit or 64-bit.  Native is somewhat level your application runs.  So 32-bit LabVIEW must Access the 32-bit registry on a 64 bit OS.  32-bit and 64-bit access to specific records.

If you try to run on a 32-bit operating system, the VI will force you in native mode.  The VI checks WOW64 support or 64-bit operating system (note that a 32-bit application will not indicate that it is running on a 64-bit operating system, that's why we need check the WOW64 support).  Based on the access register and the operating system, the code ORs bits suitable for security access.

You can find more information via Google and MSDN.

  • Program works very well in LabVIEW 32-bit but not 64-bit

I have a very complex program that works very well with LabView 2014 32 bit on a 64 bit Windows 7 computer. I installed LabView 2014 64-bit to be able to use more RAM and now the same program pose problems at one of the Sub screws. specifically, the sub - VI has a "invoke VI' and have problems since LV is not able to find the VI to call. How is it can be found in 32-bit but not 64-bit?

N.b.: all copies are legitimate and authorized.

This isn't an excerpt! Please read the help on creating this particular type of the image.

What happens when you open the VI normally? It seems that you use DAQmx. Is the 64 - but version installed.

  • Availability of LabVIEW 64-bit for Mac?

    Hello world

A quick search of the forum seems to indicate that there may have been some 64-bit versions of LV for Mac produced, but I can't seem to find all recent messages, or how I could get a copy.  Does anyone know if there are available versions, or if NEITHER will produce them at one point?

My main problem is that when playing in and manipulate data files larger than 500 MB, I get memory errors (my machine has 8 GB of RAM, and OSX has been 64-bit for some time). Looking at the monitor of activity reveals that LV allocates slightly more than 2.1 GB when reading binary files of this size (before handling and making copies, etc.).  It is, of course, pushing against the limits of 32-bit.  Some of my files are this size or larger, or require copies during the reduction/manipulation of data, hence the request.

    Thank you very much

    S-

PS: I know, I know, I've heard the arguments for MS Windows before, I'm looking for above all a response to the question, not an explanation of the reason why the X system is better than the system Y.  FWIW, in my lab, we use Windows (less stable, more software), Mac and Linux (more stable, less software; done correlation = causation?)  Almost never :-)).

But it is not stable 10 (64-bit) Windows at all.  It pops up an error on most of the time. Please see the attached database VI. After starting my software, usually, there is no error on the face of the database of frist. but it pops up an error when opening the database section. the East-2147418113 error code. It seems that it will be more stable if I put more than a few seconds before you open the second database.

  • Uninstall the 32-bit version of labview and retain the 64-bit version

How can I uninstall the 32-bit version of LV2009 and keep the operational 64 bit version?

The 64-bit versions and 32-bit LabVIEW are independent. It is important to note that all modules are 64-bit capable.

Here are a few web pages, with the frequently asked questions on the differences between labview 64-bit and 32-bit.

  • MathScript node: an error internal mathscript: 64-bit LabVIEW 2009

    Hi people.

I have an installation now LabVIEW 2009 9.03f, Vision and Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit, all 64-bit versions on a new computer, so that I can convert a code from 32 to 64-bit.

I tell myself that I will address the errors one by one and this is the first.  I have a VI with mathscript node and the VI, who instructed and ran very well in the 32-bit environment, is now broken and giving the error "mathscript node: a mathscript internal error."  My main concern - is mathscript unsupported in LabVIEW 64-bit right now?

I enclose the VI.  Any ideas are appreciated.  I need to get this working.

In addition, NEITHER is there a special forum of 64-bit we should publish in the future, or create to post on?

    Sincerely,

    2009 help

LabVIEW MathScript is a language based on text that you can use to write scripts and functions. You can process the scripts using LabVIEW MathScript in the Window of LabVIEW MathScript or a MathScript node. When you create a LabVIEW MathScript, you use data types supported.

The MathScript syntax is intuitive and logical syntax essentially based on the standard mathematical and computer programming terms, mandate of widespread and common use truncation or descriptive abbreviations and concatenations of standardized terms. The Window of LabVIEW MathScript and MathScript nodes are able to process files that you create using the MathScript current syntax and, for backward compatibility, files that you created using legacy MathScript syntaxes. The Window of LabVIEW MathScript and nodes MathScript can also process some of your files using other textual syntaxes, such as files that you created by using the MATLAB® software. Because the MathScript RT Module engine is used to treat the scripts in the Window of LabVIEW MathScript and MathScript node, and the MathScript RT Module engine can't stand any of the syntaxes, not all existing text scripts are supported.

(64-bit LabVIEW) LabVIEW MathScript is not supported in LabVIEW (64-bit).

  • Can I use Labview 2013 on 64-bit and 32-bit PC interchangeably?

    Hello

I am running Labview 2013 basic package on Windows 7/64 bit laptop, which is not stored permanently in the laboratory.  I need to buy a 32 bit desktop PC to run a non-Labview application, but it would be very convenient to use the new 32-bit machine to run Labview also, since it WILL BE at all times in the laboratory.  Then I wouldn't have to connect or disconnect the laptop computer in the laboratory every time I do the development of the system.

Can I load my version of Labview 2013 on a desktop Windows 7/32-bit and write/run system live even as I do on my laptop Windows 7/64-bit?

If the 32-bit and 64 - bit are interchangeable, so, I would get a higher end 32-bit system.  If they aren't, then I get the cheapest available 32-bit system and dedicated to the non-LabVIEW application.

    Thank you

    Dave

LabVIEW edition will almost certainly be the screws you develop using 32-bit executables on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit systems.  What will certainly be different is the LabVIEW runtime system, so be careful when you build executable files.  Certain pieces of evidence that this is probably, it's developed under Windows XP (32-bit) code will run fine on Windows 7/64 (in development Mode).

Note that I'm assuming that you installed LabVIEW 32-bit on your system Win7/64 (although there is a 64-bit version of LabVIEW, my understanding is that he could not be "ready for Prime Time").

  • Is LabVIEW 2016 fully 64-bit compatible?

Also recently as in 2015 of LabVIEW, the 'conventional wisdom' (which, I admit, I followed myself) was "install LabVIEW to 32 bit on 64 bit Windows , unless you were really given Big stuff on a PC with a lot of memory.  I (bad?) believed that this was particularly important with device drivers and possibly with RT I also (I thought) heard that NEITHER was currently heading LabVIEW on a platform 64-bit "pure".

I wanted to ask OR the week, but in the excitement of it all, I forgot - should now consider us install LabVIEW 64-bit on Windows 10 x 64 platforms?  What LabVIEW RT platforms, including PXI controllers?  [Hmm - I didn't follow my own advice on the Forums and do a simple Google search - just a second...]

OK, the Web seems to say that LabVIEW 2016 has "more support for 64-bit computing".  Maybe now is the time to take another piece of my own advice and "experience" - maybe I'll build a 'pure' 64-bit system and see if I can port my LabVIEW RT code for her...

OK, the answer to my question is "No."  NOR, we have

    • The Time Module is only compatible with LabVIEW (32 bit). Therefore, you must have LabVIEW (32-bit), even if you use a 64-bit operating system.

  • Internet Toolkit for LabVIEW 2012 64-bit

I have an application which is currently written in LabVIEW 2009. It requires the Internet. I try to open it in 2012 of LabVIEW (64-bit) (using Windows 7 64-bit). LabVIEW 2012 does not find the box at Internet tools since he has been deprecated in LabVIEW 2012, so LabVIEW complains.

So I downloaded the toolkit LabVIEW 2012 Internet and tried to install it. When the Setup program tries to run, it stops with an error message that says:

"NEITHER LabVIEW 2012 (32-bit) or more must be installed before installing OR.
    2012 Internet Toolkit LabVIEW. »

Can someone tell me where I can find the Internet Toolkit for LabVIEW 2012
    (64 bit)?

    Thank you

    -Ray

Since you seem to understand that the Internet Toolkit has been deprecated, I do not understand your question. There is no 64-bit version of the tool. In fact, it has very few tools that do not have a 64-bit version. In order to use the old, 32-bit version, you must use it with the version 32-bit LabVIEW, as said the message.
