No advantage to run a vi developed by LabVIEW 32-bit on windows 64-bit with 64-bit LabVIEW?

The vi is developed with LabVIEW 32-bit on a 32-bit computer, windows 7.

It is going to be any advantage to run this vi on a 64-bit on a 64 - bit windows machine LabVIEW 7?

THX.

Only if you are running out of ram and if you use one of the kits of tools that has a 64-bit version that can make use of the extra RAM.

  • Problem with Apex 5.0 report with a query that runs in SQL Developer

    Hello

I have a query that runs in SQL Developer without problem, but when I use it in a classic report, it displays following:

    error report:

ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character of number conversion error

    The query is:

    select
     T1.ID_ATTACHMENT,
     T1.BLOB_CONTENT,
     T2.ATTACH_CATEGORY,
     T1.FILENAME,
     T1.ATTACHMENT_DESCRIPTION
    from ATTACHMENTS T1
     LEFT JOIN REF_ATTACH_CATEGORIES T2
      ON T1.ATTACHMENT_CATEGORY = T2.ID_ATTACH_CATEGORY
     WHERE T1.ID_ATTACHMENT IN
      (SELECT ID_ATTACHMENT FROM REL_ATTACHMENTS
       WHERE REL_PART_ID = 1
       AND REL_ID = 64146);

And the output of SQL Developer is:

    2015-08-12_01-03-36.png

I have following Setup for the BLOB_CONTENT column in the classic report:

    2015-08-12_01-06-25.png

Any ideas what is causing this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sergio

I don't have notes with me, but I think that the content of the blob must be selected as:

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength (blob_content) as blob_content

and check that you have included the primary key in the results.

  • Windows 10 compatibility with applications developed in LabView

We have deployed several applications developed in LabView that are running OK under Win7 and Win8.x.

Are there problems of known incompatibility with 10 Windows and applications created with "LV2012 SP1 that read data from cards NiDaq". We should warn our clients to not upgrade their operating system or should we ask them to install a specific version of the runtime OR or NiDaq libraries?

Well the development and EXE run the same runtime for code execution, and the same things like DAQmx drivers.  If you upgrade to Windows 10, and something goofy happens to the TCP stack, you call up NOR help, but they say the solution is to pass some version of LabVIEW is supported in Windows 10.  The probability of this happening is slim, but more strange things happened.

  • VBAI running on computers of 32 and 64 bit

I have a standard VBAI routine developed on a 32 - bit computer, using a lot of files .vi and running on multiple hosts.  To date, all VBAI instances were on 32-bit computers, without any problem, for example, I just copy the VBAI routine to the new machine and run it.

But the last instance is a 64-bit server, and while VBAI installs and runs locally, he moved to the folder "...\Program Files (x 86)-...» "that throws all my calls file .vi.  I tried to put the .vi files in the folder maintinaing «...\Program Files\...» "the structure folders and it seemed to work, but it wasn't all parameters, and I couldn't change all the steps...

So here's my question: is there a way to make my VBAI routine standard running on the 64-bit computer, or do I have to load LabView and recompile the routine?

    Thank you

    Eric

When you say that you can not change the steps, what do you mean? You get an error on the VI is broken when you change a step execute a VBAI LabVIEW VI? I would recommend that you follow the instructions to create your VI in a LLB built for deployment. You will find these instructions when you change the step run a LabVIEW VI, and you go to help > context display help. There will be a link to 'Saving VI for Distribution' in the FAQ tab, which will guide you in how to do a Bachelor's degree in LAW with all the dependencies that are required in a LAW degree who can travel more easily with your inspection when you move systems.

I also recommend that you include all in the project of LV, the your source required screws through the various stages of LV run in your VBAI inspection, and that you will have a unique LAW degree which is easy to carry. I also recommend that you put this LLB single in a place that will not change when you move from a (64 bit) (32 bit) to another system, so do put it not in your c:\Program Files (x 86). On the RT, we expect in C:\User VIs\, so you can put your LLB at the same location on your windows machine, and then if ever you move RT, it will be very easy to have found LLB.

It is important to have your source screw in one place (as well as the LV that allows you to create your LLB) and LLB/source distribution generated in another location (e.g. c:\User VIs\) and when you want to change, change your source screws and use the same project for you rebuild LLB VBAI will use. You do not want to edit your distribution of LLB\source built and accidentally put screws in there, vi.lib or good things will break.

    Hope this helps,

    Brad

  • 4.1 Developer, the output of the Script window does not display the last line of the output automatically

    Hi all

I use the new version of the developer 4.0.1.14 on Windows 7 x 64, I noticed that the result of the query or the output of the script does not display as before:

When I run a query lets say with 100 lines of output, run the query successfully, but the cursor jumps automatically to the last record in the game as in all previous versions, I have to scroll manually everytime.

    Can I change this?

    Thank you

    No, unfortunately, it's a bug.

It is not for all queries however. Still boring.

  • Install Oracle10g Developer Suite on 64-bit

Is there a difference in the version of Oracle 10 g Developer Suite for 32-bit and 64-bit? Is the configuration of the Installation is the same or not?

    Edited by: 911239 January 6, 2013 12:00

There is no difference in the installation, Developer Suite 10 g is available only in 32-bit, you can install it on 64-bit. Initiator of J does not work with 64-bit windows 7, you can configure it with JRE instead of Langis to run forms. Note: this JRE 7 is also not compatible use JRE 6 update 37 or 38.

  • Where can I download LabVIEW NI Developer Suite 2012 64-bit?

We have for LabVIEW NI Developer Suite 2012 32-bit installation DVD. On the support page for LabVIEW 64-bit vs 32-bit FAQ, it says to download the 64-bit version in the "Windows Setup can be downloaded via the drivers and updates: LabVIEW 64-bit section of our Web site", but the Developer Suite for 2012 64 bit is not listed.

    Please notify.

Yes, you need SSP to make from this link. Really should have kept active ssp. Try the ftp site - http://download.ni.com/evaluation/labview/ekit/other/downloader/

I have a VI that works under windows XP, supported in Windows 7 64 bit (for editing only) but hangs Labview in windows 7 32-bit.  I know the code works, but I have not tried on this particular PC before so I guess that there is an error of configuration somewhere, but dang if I can find it.

I've included a screenshot of the error as well as a copy of the VI in question.

    UPDATE:

Problem solved.  It turns out that TI requires a developer version of spectial of their drivers to work with labview, otherwise labview get permission to use the control and the accident.

Installed the Dev and now everything is normal.

The stupid thing is that actually, I knew that, but it's been so long that I had to set up a new PC for work with labview that I forgot.
