  I have two text input boxes and a button smartshape on a slide.

  Text entry areas require username, stores the responses into variables. The button moves to the next slide. I don't want the button to pause the slide, but not text entry areas.

  When I uncheck the 'pause after"in the properties of the input synchronization for each of the text boxes, the break is always carried out for each. In fact, icon pause shows still on the layer of the timeline for each as well.

  The result is that my slide stop 3 times instead of once:)

  It is for some a bug in CP8, in previous versions you can change the time of the break, but you can disable it. Must be a design fault, using the same properties of timing for each interactive object to CP8 (to make it "clear").

  For me, it makes sense that you can't disable pause in BER, since it must wait for an input from the user. It's the same for question slides, no way to disable the pause, you can move only. For BER you can move with the synchronization properties, which is not yet the case for Question slides where you (still) that slide on the Timeline can move the point of interruption.

  Why should you get this button? If it is designed as a next button, do you want so that it can move without entries in of the TEB? Then set its action to 'go to the next slide", not to continue?

  I have a form that the user is required to fill out. When the user tries to advance to the next slide, I would test to check that none of the text boxes are empty.

  Ideally something like;

  If ((Textbox1) == null) {}

  See the legend of failure

  } else {}

  continue

  }

  I know you can use advanced actions but I'm unable to set the null value. I even tried to create a new variable and leave empty and tests textbox against that, but apparently not worked either.

  I'm probably missing something simple as I am very new to Captivate.

  Is it possible to submit the code of the advances in stocks using AS?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  I had the same problem.

  The user must enter his name.

  I preset the variable of the text using the feature box "what would happen if you reach this slide." You can find it if you double-click the slide with your text box, and then find the area of "navigation". I have a German version of the A4 the names of functions differ...

  Declare the variable of your text box we'll say "ABC123".

  With a collateral action, you can check if the text inside the variable passed as ABC123 to something else:

  If

  variable_name is not equal to ABC123

  then

  ...

  on the other

  ...

  If the variable is always ABC123 I jump to another slide with an error message.

• the text box changes color when you type in a google search and the cursor and the text becomes invisible.

  When I open Firefox, a cursor appears in the search text box, but I have to click on it before I can enter text. When I click on the text box changes color (from teal'c white to a light color) and the slider and I type text is invisible.

• Automatically put the cursor in the text box to start

  Hi guys

  On the picture below you can see a small piece of my FP. It is a part of a bigger FP for a pretty huge electronics test. Each PCB got its own series number of barcode. I have a drive that is connected to my keyboard. Then when I read the code bar, numbers will appear in the text box on my FP, IF i first click on the text box. Then the user must only press START to do the test. My problem, or wish, if you like, is that when the program starts, or a test has completed, the cursor/marker is placed in the text box, so I just have to read bar codes.

  Currently, the user must click in the text box before you read the code bar. Is it possible that this can be done by Labview?

  I n node property checked yet, because I'm busy to something else right now at work. Just write in my break.

  PS I would have found the answer in the forum, but I am from Norway, and not all of the language of the computer is easy to translate since I use windows Norwegians. I belive that it is called cursor or marker however.

  Hello

  The property node "KeyFocus" attached here brings the cursor automatically in the text box.  Set the "Val (Sgnl)" blank to trigger the event associated with this area of text (if necessary).

  I'm new with the Labview I have it the simple program I use the tab control in the tab control I have set Num control a (text box) in the tab 1 and Num B in the tab2 and control on the front panel, I place the indicator of Num C.I want when I set the value of a control number and enter then value goes to the led num c.Simillarly when I put the value B number and press on enter, then the value of B will go to the num indicator. How do I put the event on the text box as the value of A or B num command will go num indicator capers press on enter for the number corrosponding control.

• Cannot change the text box.

  Adobe Acrobat DC recently auto updated to the latest version, and it seems that the new version does not change the text boxes.

  The screenshot below shows what I mean.  I added a text box and pointed the police to change the size / font style / color, but it is gray just to go out in the toolbar properties (Ctrl + E)

• Captivate 7 - I created a file but when I re - open, I can't see the text in the text boxes until I click on each text box.  Is this a known issue?

  Hi, I created a Captivate 7 file.  I have some text boxes on each slide.  However, when I close the file and re - open, search text boxes empty.  The text appears again when I click on the text box.  However it is visible in the film.

  When I preview the file, the text does not show in the text boxes.

  Anyone had any experience of this problem?

  I think you should maybe just disable the AutoComplete feature in Acrobat.

  I have no experience with custom or even Javascript actions, so, my request is probably a very easy to solve, I had no idea on how to achieve this.

  Basically, I have a slide in this slide, I have a text box (slide 1). I have another slide with a text box (slide 2). I would like to have the text box on the slide 2 to have the same exact text in the text box in slide 1. If I change the text in the text box on the slide 1, the other text box would inherit the text thereof.

  TLDR; How to set the area text 2 to have the same text as 1 text box in a tip action. Practically ' box 2 == the text box 1.

  Hello, I'm not sure I understand your question straight, please could you give more details: something to do with the terminology. You talk about 'text areas' but in Captivate, there is text (added by the creator of the film) captions and text entry areas (where the user of the published movie will insert text).

  If you want the user to type text in a BER (text entry area) of slide 1 and have this entry on slide 2 in a text caption, you can do this:

  • Create a variable user (projects, Actions, the tab variable), e.g. vTekst (you are Dutch-speaking)?
  • create the TEB on slide 1 and associate it to the variable (in properties, Advanced tab)
  • on slide 2 create the text caption, select Variable to add to the formatting toolbar and add the created variable
  • which edition you will have the same text in the text of the legend (slide 2) car was introduced by the user via the TEB on slide 1.

  If you were talking about the legends of text on both blades, there is no simple way in CP (in Flash) to have an object (in this case the text of the legend) remaining for two slides, the only options are for the duration of the slide or project. But you can of course easily copy and paste the text in the legend.

• A4 - the text box is resized whenever editing text.

  I text on slides boxes using background transparent and standard text fonts, sizing, etc. Whenever I have to make any changes to the text, then click on out of the box to finish, the text box resizes completely. Does anyone else have this problem / solution?

  I guess that you speak of text captions, text entry areas.

  Have you tried clicking on the Project menu and see if you have a checkmark next to "Autosize Captions? If so, clear the checkbox.

  I'm new to flex and I am trying to write a function that will give me the index of the position of the cursor in a TextArea, I see that TextField is a getCaratPosition() or something similar. did someone knows how I could find out how to implement that in a box of text... or is there really no difference between a textArea and TextField component and I should just use a field?

  I think that the simplest here would continue to use the text box, then get the caretIndex of the textfield in the OT:

  var idx:int = TextField (ta.getChildAt (2)) .caretIndex; TA is the id of your TextArea

  Also make sure you import flash.text.TextField.

  I'm not sure to understand what happens when the text inline boxes are dragged - I have 6 on a page that are the width of the page but different heights and I would like to re - order them so they mix it up or down depending on where I drag them, but at the moment they go to the bottom of the page or disappear completely I can't work on the behavior.

  Select each text box and if you use v5 Pages, visit the reorder menu and text wrapping set to None. Now, the text box are not repellent, and you can position them as you please. If you always use the Pages ' 09 and then again, select each text box and the Wrap Inspector, deselect object causes wrap.

  What problems are you having with the arrow? You go to Tools-> annotate-> arrow and an arrow appears. Then you can drag around the head and tail to make it to the desired location.

  I just upgraded from Pages 09 to 5.6 Pages. Pages 09, if I did drag a color from the menu of color on a text box, it might change the color of the text. 5.6 pages this action changes the fill of the text box, not the color of the text. Is it possible to force the behavior of 09 to 5.6? I change the color of the text much more often than the color of the background of the text box.

  Force the behavior of Pages ' 09 v5.6? Absolutely not.

  Pages ' 09 and v5 are entirely different applications and not surprisingly, they work differently also. In the Pages v5, fill, text and a text box border color come from different parts of the application, not a central color palette.
