LabVIEW android

Hello

I can develop labview windows app & make file exe from him.

Similarly can I develop android app also by labview as develop a simple calculatoror a watch?

If so, where in the first place

No, you can't write code in LabVIEW and compile/run on Android.

Here's what you can do:

-Use data dashboard app to display the shared variables of a LabVIEW application on an android/iOS device

-Communication between a LabVIEW application and Android application using network communications (e.g., Web Services, TCP/IP, Bluetooth etc..)

    Hi all

I have a problem with the shared variable and labview android app.

I create a basic while loop IV and a random number with the shared variable. Now I deploy all the variable and I have this message:

Initializing... Calculating dependencies... The checking for conflicts. This may take some time... Prepare the items for download. This may take some time... Deploy my computer deployment Untitled library 1. lvlib deployment Untitled library 1. lvlib1\DDVariable1 DVariable1\\10.211.55.6\Untitled library deployed. Deployment completed successfully

now I open android app, select "connect to the shared variable" and insert the IP 192.168.0.2 (ip address of my pc where run labview), but the connection fails... why?

my ip address of the router is 192.168.0.1 and my smarthphone is connected via wifi in the same network.

  • Dashboard of data for LabVIEW with ad-hoc wifi?

    Hello

We have a laptop and we run a LabView control and acquisition of data on this subject program. We would like to have access to some of the values of the "indicators through an android tablet, so during an operation manual tap on our facilities, we could see remotely what happens with some measured values in our application LabView.

The ethernet port is not available on this laptop, it is used for a sensor. It has wifi and bluetooth adapter. What would be the easiest solution to access the LabView app on this laptop from the Android device by using the "dashboard of data for LabView" android app? For security reasons, this laptop can't access internet, but of course, we could all just put a near wireless router (and not connect to the internet), and the laptop computer and the android Tablet access the same wifi network. I guess it should work, Yes?

Or is it possible to make a connection to wifi ad-hoc between the laptop and the Tablet and use the DataDashboard? Anyone has any experience with such a solution?

Last question: or what a Bluetooth connection? Might work?

Thanks a lot for the tips!

    Kind regards

    Hi man,

I recommend you connect your tablet as you described.

I don't think that it is possible to use the Bluetooth with the application of the dashboard of data for Android. I can't find any information on Bluetooth, only for the WiFi.

  • How do I run Labview applications into a tablet with android os

How to run the Labview application in the tablet with android operating system?

Can we use Labview mobile module or use the google game for labVIEW data dashboard? How to install in the PC?

If you had looked at the dashboard of data and some other links on Android, you will see that you can not run a LabVIEW on Android application. Nor can use you a serial port. With data dashboard, you have a pc that runs LabVIEW and publishes to shared network variables. The Android data dashboard allows you to see these variables.

  • Send the data collected by sensors in cell phone android to Labview installed on a PC

    Hello

My question is if someone knows a way to connect the mobile phone and the PC to share the values of the sensors of a telephone cell phone android (barometer, termomether, gyro, etc.).

Can you the app DATA dashboard or any other application available on the Android market access data from these sensors and send them by a variable shared PC?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

There is an application that allows you to transmit the values via the WiFi via TCP/IP or UDP connection. It is probably the best way to do it (and means that you don't have to write your own. You then just to write LabVIEW code to connect to the phone and listen to /lire data.

For example - this looks like such an application (but there are many others): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubccapstone.sensorUDP&hl=en

  • to connect to a shared variable (android)

    Hello

I just started to learn how to use the dashboard data Labview for android.

I made a very simple project, with a VI that generates random numbers. I also added a variable published network shared in this project, and I write the random number generated for this variable shared every second.

I would like to read this value on my phone (Motorola Razr i, Android 4.1.2) android using the dashboard of data for an Android application.

I have a wireless access point and both my laptop (that hosts the project, LabView, Labview 2013) and my smart phone is properly connected to the wireless router, and both gets from dynamic IP addresses.

I start running my VI on the laptop and the variable shared within the lvlib correctly deployed and began to broadcast (I guess) its value to the network.

I start the DD application on my Smartphone, I choose 'Connect shared variable to', I type the local IP address of my laptop, which is 192.168.0.100, and I try to connect.

After some 'research' and waiting, I get a message "connection error".

    Do I did wrong?

Thank you much for the help.

    Best regards

  • smartphone with labview programming

is it possible to run programs that I've written in labview on a smartphone? (iphone/android/new windows 8?)

is it possible to program a smartphone with labview?

Your questions were asked before several times. Please search before asking a question to see if it has already been covered or partially answered.

    With regard to your questions:

    NO.

    and

    Laughing out loud

The LabVIEW Embedded Module has been designed to work with Windows Mobile, but not Windows phone (what Mobile has been transformed in). Several ideas exist in the exchange of ideas of LabVIEW in this regard. OR (supposedly) works on them, but have not announced anything. In the meantime you can try to use something like this:https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-19387 or this: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/210042

  • connection client bluetooth (Android phone) to the server of VI

Hello, I try to find a solution to be able to retrieve data from my LabView (laptop) on my Android device. (Win7 x 64, LV2014 pro, Motorola MotoX Android 4.4.4)

I found the tutorial with source AppInventor2 example:

    http://puravidaapps.com/btchat.php

It is a cat of BT base between two Android devices. The code seems pretty simple, but I'm not 100%... In any case, I've compiled an apk from this source and I tested it and it works between two android devices (Nexus7 tablet) and Motorola MotoX, all two a 4.4.4 Android.

OK, very nice, so now that I'm trying to "mimic" the behavior of the server Android, use LabView BT server, I have attached my test VI.

My Android phone is BT customer, I need to connect to the LV server with it.

So I start the server BT LabView VI to run it, and I have 10 seconds timeout, during this time I click "connect" on my Android app and select the address of my laptop BT (the laptop computer and the Android device have been previously matched, and the connection has been successfully tested with file transfer). However, the connection is not established, I get the error timeout 56 of the VI listener code (LabVIEW: the functioning of the network exceeded the time limit specified by the user or system.)

Maybe there is someone with more experience with BT / AppInventor and could help me how to connect and send strings to my Android phone?

    Thank you

    Best regards

    new info:

I installed a terminal program series for my laptop Win7 and I put a serial port entering for my BT (COM 13) adapter.

I have also reinstalled the driver BT on my laptop. "Now I can finally connect my Android phone to the laptop and I see the message"User_xxxx"is connected" in the window of the terminal of the laptop. Also, I can send strings to the laptop of the android...

However, I am still not able to send strings from LabView...

Maybe I should try VI series? But I could only assign a serial port entering the laptop for BT, outgoing series is not possible...

    EDIT:

I'm really a noob here, but I managed to make it work

I connect via BT, the laptop and the phone, and I connect to the laptop with the Android app that precedes.

I used the example LabView "continuous series write and Read.VI", and I am able to send and receive channels via a serial port COM13

  • Data for LabView - Motorolla RAZR dashboard

When view LabView, the Android Market data dashboard tells me, 'your device is not compatible with this item."

I have a Motorola RAZR.  Any suggestions?

    Hello duane,.

At that time, dashboard of data for LabVIEW is available on shelves.  In addition to the Apple iPad and iPad 2, Android tablets only under 2.3 or later are supported.  To support the Tablet 7 '' Android, we had to make some design changes.  It should be even more changes due to the small size of a phone.  We might consider a version for phones based on the popularity of the application on each platform and the information received in return.  For more information, see the product page or the LabVIEW Web Interface Builder and data dashboard discussion forum.

I don't know how anyone could determine that you were talking about signs your initial messages remotely.

Yes, the runtime must match the version of the exe of LabVIEW. No, there is no time of execution for android/iphone.

You can also use the command-line interface in LabVIEW and run the command "ADB push.

First, you must enable debbuging in your phone and install deceloper android Google Tools.

  • Send SMS with android phone and also using iPad

I have a (Galaxy Note4) Android phone and an iPad (4th generation, just before the series of 'Air').

I use a lot of text messaging and really wish I could get my texts on the two devices using the android phone number.  In the past, I used an application called "TextNow" which assigns you a unique number and number synchronization with two devices from the app store from Apple or Google Play. It worked well... I would get all my texts on two fairly transparent devices.

I also watched Google Hangouts and the possibility of having multiple devices receiving the texts had been "fixed" in a recent update Hangouts. Thus, Hangouts no longer allows multiple devices of different platforms to access the texts on the same number.

My question is... are at - it application in both the app store and google game that will allow you to send and receive texts using the mobile number rather that having to generate a new number?

I'm not aware of something that doesn't require the other party to also have the same application, something like WhatsApp. The ability to text on the iPad is dependent on the connection device to an iPhone, because it uses the iPhone to send text. You can simply send the texts to the iPad.
