  Hello. I'm really new to using TestStand and I am trying to send the serial number of the object to be measured to a LabView vi. I tried to use Runstate.Root.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber as the value to pass, but it did not work. It seemed not unlike object to measure. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

  1. No, you don't need the DAQ Assistant. You even don't need to use in a serious application! You need to learn to be programmed with DAQmx screws.
  2. When you can not select the module mentioned above in the DAQ Assistant, could also check you with MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer)? You see this HW module in MAX?
  3. If MAX cannot recognize this module, you may have a driver problem. Have you installed all the required device drivers? Please provide the version of the OS and number of bits (64 or 32-bit), version of LabVIEW and number of bits, DAQmx version, etc. You can see the installed software and driver, Max under the heading 'Software' (fill in the list and make a screenshot).

  I'm working on a project using LabVIEW 8.5.1 (specified by the customer not me!) and have created problems with some LabVIEW Classif. I created three classes - a parent class is a "generic data acquisition class" and map specific classes that inherit from the generic class overridding all methods. However, I get an error that I can not get rid of... "the owining library has blocked execution." That's all the screws and the class data types. I opened the library using LabVIEW 2012 and 2013 and I don't get the same problem in one of those. Any thoughts?

  I found the problem. One of the overridng of one of the child classes methods did not have the output terminal "dynamic send" wired properly - new versions of LabVIEW must handle this better.

  I work on the automation of certain measures of Network Analyzer. I am using the NUMBER of Rohde & Schwarz Network Analyzer and I am communicating with the instrument via GPIB. One of the measures make me remind a few manually saved calibration data.

  I've been using the SCPI command to charge/reminder of saved calibration data are given in the manual of the VNA ZVR as operating "MMEMory:LOADTATe, 1 ', but the instrument does not charge/reminder these saved calibration data. In addition, labview does not have an error at the end of the program. When I try manually Recalling stored data, I am able to do this without any glitch.

  What could be the possible reason for this VNA did not respond to this command? I'd appreciate really any comment about it.

  I got touch Rohde Schwarz & in order to confirm that the command of sustainable intensification of CROP I've used is appropriate and I came to know that, although my SCPI command was good, the format has been bad and if the instrument has not responded to the command. The correct command would be "MMEM: LOAD: STAT 1,'filepath\file_name. '. ' CFG' ' where filepath would format BACK and one. CFG extension must be added file name. For some reason, the format of file name and the extension to use is not mentioned in the R & S manual operation resulting in the confusion.

  Now, the problem has been resolved and the AVI works absolutely well. I appreciate your time to help me find the solution.

  You can work around this limitation by putting your orders and clusters indicators. Then set the cluster to be required or recommended to indicate whether contained controls are entered or parameters, just normal.

  The "decimal string to Number.vi' seems to be the conversion of the input data in the type int32 internally even when the input tape in vi data is expanded floating point (no points of constraint).  This is causing me grief.  See attached vi

  There is no bug. You use the wrong function (see Help) If you want a floating point output. Use Fract/Exp string to a number.

  Is it possible to read a device COM port number in LabView? I would like to make an initialization of the program following the right port COM of a device, for example a USB temperature reading device, and set the COM port as the correct port at the start of the main program of LabView.   Another thought. It also has a place where certain standards can save you a lot of time.

  You have 3 dongles by machine. When setting up a computer are these three dongles * always * assigned to, for example, com 3, com 4 and com 5.

  Similarly, always check that instrument 1 is always on com 3, tool 2 is always on com 4 and 3 device is always on com 5.

  I am writing a VI to measure the data and insert into a database. The measures are controlled by a loop that runs once per minute. I want to give a unique to each measure identification number and store it too much in the database.

  To do this, I want to add a counter to this loop so that I can count the number of times that the loop is executed in total. It is, even if the VI, LabVIEW or even e PC is restarted, I want the counter to track the number of executions. If say the Edeka runs twice and then the VI is stopped and restarted, I want the number following on the counter to be three.

  Does anyone have an idea on how to do it? I'm gratefule for any help!

  A suggestion. Can you write the last counter value in a txt file and read it all by running again the vi?

I am building a system that will use 10 of these modules in a single system and I want to be able to verify this LINX = serial No.: ABC. I'm afraid that a 'user' will disconnect and the plug-in a USB module causing the FLAX number to change.
