LabVIEW disconnects my SC card

Hello

I've been using a polarization controller which is only in fact a stepper motor. I order this step via a standard EiBotBoard motor. I was able to control with Labview via NI-VISA and it works. I also created a loop whose initialization process and some other commands to get a set of specific variables in terms of polarization. I run my loop once and everything is fine but when I try to do it for the second time, he is unable to finish the intermediate stage. At this time, it seems that labview loses communication with my EiBotBoard and it seems that the problem comes from Labview from any other program that I use with my Commission work great. What bothers me here is that when I close Labview, the Council immediately restarts and works very well.

As additional information, my loop contains three wizards of Instrument of e/s on which I ask to run a single command 2500 times. If anyone wants to see it, I can upload a picture of my block diagram.

I hope someone can help me find a way to solve my problem,

Kind regards

Marc-Daniel Gagnon

Here is a view of my current VI. It is very simplistic and it is essentially a test to see if we needed to be able to generate a full sweep of the movement of an engine step by step. I'm open to suggestions to make it better if you ever get a little. My engine is connected by USB, but I had to install some. INFs given that the Council must be controlled by COM port, so basically my entry USB simulates commands COM port.

The command send using the Instrument is simply a sequence of 'Writing' on the device with REFLUX controls that the guy who sold me the engine joined the Board of Directors. In other words, it is just the COM4, and then wrote a bunch of specific commands.

As I said in my first post, it works real well the first time that I run and the second time that it still fails keep the connection until the movements.

Enjoying quick responses.

    Hi Tom,

Looks like a great app.  NXT with LabVIEW Migration will be a big intermediate step before joining more industrial and better sensors with a PCI, PXI, cDAQ or cRIO.  We have a lot of options when it comes to vision and control and acquisition of movement, and we have dedicated forums for all of these products as well.

  • Disconnected this SD card drive letter in Media Player

Original title: media sharing problem. (Facing the issue with shraing Windows Media player with the Xbox 360.)

I share my media on my computer using Media Player 12 for my Xbox 360, all sharing works fine except several months ago, I plugged an SD card for my computer that had a video on it and since then the letter of the SD card has been affected on my computer, appears on my Xbox 360 when I go to the App videos even if this SD card has been disconnected for months.

I looked through the library in Media Player and there is no link with the drive letter that appears on the Xbox 360.
My Xbox 360 sees also a folder on my desktop that also is not in the library, because it has since been moved to another directory, but always show as if it was still on the desk.
I think that the problem lies in the media player and not the Xbox 360, maybe it is caching the data somewhere that I am not aware of.
I deleted the cache and my Xbox 360 Media Player using the Windows Disk Cleanup tool.
Maybe someone knows why this is happening?

    Hi SAMUS204,

I found this article to support Xbox. He suggested that the file is corrupted. Are you able to right-click on the file and delete it? If you have already tried, what were the results, and if not, try to delete the folder.

You for your response, I have found the question that must have a corrupt Media Player library and was able to remedy by the reconstruction of the whole of the media library.

For anyone who needs to rebuild their library, just open Media Player-> on tools-> Advanced-> Restore library...-> click OK-> Open Media Player new and allow it to find all of your content.
  • How to generate the clock 8,192 MHz on the labview FPGA 7854R series card?

    Hello

I use the NI PXI-7854R series card that has 5 FPGA from Xilinx Vertex on him. I'm drifting clockwork 8,192 MHz to 40 MHz on board the FPGA clock. But he ended up giving me a single clock 8 MHz. is it possible to access the PLL located on FPGA Xilinx?

    Concerning

If you are familiar with VHDL you can make your own "component-level IP' (aka CLIP) with a PLL Xilinx inside.  There are topics for help and examples of how to define a CLIP.  Here's one that shows how instantiate a DCM (similar to a PLL) in a CLIP:

  • cannot start the computer without disconnecting the graphics card

    I'm having a strange problem.

Recently my computer has started doing something funny.  If I choose restart, or stop and start the computer too fast, it does not start.  He posts about 3 times then won't start.  If I unplug the graphic card and let the beep from the motherboard error on the code, and then close it, plug it back and it starts.  It's really weird and I don't know where to start troubleshooting.

    Here are my system specs:

    OS: Vista 64

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz (4CPU), "2.4 GHz

    Motherboard: Biostar T-Power I45

Graphics card: NVidia GE Force 9800 GX2

Any help would be great because I just had to reinstall windows, and there restart every time I install a program, and with this error it takes me about 10 minutes to start again.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You've got a video that can interfere? Settings/Setup (BIOS/CMOS) often as F2
you start so watch the screen for the key. Disable the integrated video if activated.

If it does not help it sounds like you need technical support in a real store of the computer (not leeks and)
Displays a BestBuy or some other BigBox store) or system manufacturer support.

    I hope this helps.

  • LabVIEW 3D surface color card

    Hello

I'm tracing a 3-d chart using the help of ground surface 3D and it works fine, but color ramp values adapt to my data. My question is: is it possible to change the values of the color ramp?

for example I have a color ramp between - 92.4 and - 85.9 and I want to change it (while the vi is running) to something like -100 / 0.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello.

The answer to your question is no. You cannot change the values Max and Min of ramps of colors, you can only add ladders division, and this is because the function gives you the Max and Min of your 3D chart values.  You can see for yourself by right-clicking on the surface of the front wall 3D > 3D Plot properties > Surface > color ramp > edit. Otherwise, there is a way to change the X, Y, Z scale and see the part of the chart you want. Refer to the example below.

(1602-PCI card driver are installed in my win XP and dispalyed in Device Manager). Ok.  Then take you care of my 2 answers above.

Please provide some tutorial above mentioned the problem to interface. To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest that you try to watch some of these tutorials.

Please guide me in this regard. Thank you

According to what you do with the DAQ cards, they can do the job however, from experience, there are some functions that I could achieve with the cards NOR that I couldn't with 3rd-party maufacturers.  This does not mean that this is your case. However, it is worth noting that it took me a while to understand why the code has worked with a single data acquisition card (NOR) but not another (Non-OR).

The drivers that you have installed may or may not include examples and code in VI.  They may be DLL.  If this is the case, you can write LabVIEW "Wrappers" around these functions, as it will simplify your life.  If the drivers are in the form of DLLs, and there are no examples of LabvIEW or available VI, you must read on node library function call.

  • Sound card disconnects when the guest operating system tries to use

I tried Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 as guest with VMplayer 3.1.4 under Windows 7 SP1 32 bit. As soon as it loads the login screen and attempts to play the drums, VMplayer gives the following errors and disconnects the sound card:

When I plug the sound card and reload Pulseaudio in the comments, the same error occurs. I use the audio system integrated with the Microsoft High Definition Audio driver, but I do not know what chipset it uses. This problem could be related to SP1?

  • Equium freezes sometimes when using TV-card Anysee E30C

My Equium freezes sometimes when I use my TV (Anysee E30C) card.
'Freeze', that the display freezes, the mouse and the keyboard does not obey.
I have to stop by pressing the button for 15 sec.

The freeze happens 5-10 minutes after the start, then after restart 1-3 hours and so on.
It is not a temperature issue, I have updated graphics, sound cards and drivers Anysee, also Vista (+ SP1) is updated.
I tried to use different ports USB etc.

My laptop is 5 months old, already, the problem occurred > once a week, now, several times a day.
Help me! I am a novice in computer science!

(And I'm sorry for my bad English)

If you disconnect the TV card, it still freezes?

I would test the memory for problems. Go to www.memtest.org and download the CD ISO file. Burn the ISO on a CD - R blank file by using an Image-to-Disc project. Then boot from the CD and let it run for an hour or two.

  • Is satellite A200 - possible to replace the grapchics card?

    Hello!

I've had my Toshiba A200 - 1 M 8 for two years now and everything was going well until one day, while working on this subject, it is just went down. The arrested LEDs had any, even when not connected to the power supply and the laptop wouldn't start. I checked the habit - power cable bad, trying to see if the leds are gone or the laptop start with and without the battery in. Then I checked if all the cables are connected to the mother board the right way - they were. Know a little of material and to be a student of applied computer science, I thought that the problem was probably with the motherboard or something related to it.

So, an I unplugged devices connected to the motherboard to see if this allows the flow of power through the Commission. Long story short, it turned out that when I disconnected the graphics card (radeon HD2600 256 MB) the LEDs showed once again, and of course, the laptop started, but only a sound signal once or twice, which is normal when there are essential, as the map, missing. After a further inspection, I found that two blocks of memory on the card have burned completely, which explains why it did not work.

So now, here's my question: 1. is it possible to buy a replacement directly from Toshiba? If not, how can I specify what I seek, when searching through stores online and how can I check if it would be compatible with my laptop? 2. If it is possible to replace the card, it would be possible to replace with a better model (like hd3470), this means that my laptop would be able to manage the best card and is it still possible to find a better card, mounting my laptop (physically, I mean, it's pretty tight in there: P)?

Thanks for any helpful answer in advance, if more information is needed to answer my questions, I would be happy to provide it.

    Hello

    (1) an authorized service provider can replace the VGA card to you, directly from Toshiba. There is a list of the ASP on the Toshiba site, in the support section.

    (2) Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the VGA card in most laptops because there is no common standard model, the BIOS is coded to work with a specific VGA card and the cooling system is designed for the dissipation of the heat of this VGA card.

  • How to make simple audio measures with a sound card?

    Hello

I have audio simple (level, THD, frequency) of the measures in LabVIEW with a sound card.

The audio signal is a sinusoidal 1 kHz analog single.
I know it's better to do it with a real audio Analyzer, but it would be a significant investment.
So, how can it be achieved with a standard of PC sound card? Thank you.

I have a measurement of base (amplitude, frequency) with the following code:

@ richardgho: I agree, however, I do not work for HP, so I have no authority in the matter. Despite this, describing results from the troubleshooting steps you have already accomplished should demonstrate that your tablet is defective.

If you are still in yout seller of trading period, which may be an easier option for you, instead of getting the HP Technical Support to approve a sectoral approach. Whatever it is, you've been sick, so I hope that you won't encounter any hassles even when organizing an Exchange.

  • Can I implement a stack in LabVIEW?

As a company, I would like to emulate a microcontroller LC3 in LabVIEW. The memory card is like so:

It has a 16-bit word size and is addressable 16 bits. Is this possible?

Of course, it is - use a wide range of U16. In LabVIEW table indices are 32 bit, so you shouldn't have a problem with the 16-bit addresses, treated as an array index.

  • Problem to run Agilent GPIB with NI-VISA card: recurring at Agilent VISA 32 report of open conflict that all things set correctly...

    Hi developers OR,.

I have a recurring problem to correct my installation using a labview and Agilent GPIB card.

Of course, the well-known configuration tips are generally defined:

-Agilent VISA a VISA secondary (by-side mode)

-the passport for tulip is enabled in NOR-MAX

-OR-488 support active in Agilent librabry suite 16.1

I uninstalled and reinstalled any component twice, but still get the same error message when I want to talk to a Keithley 2400 EMS:

-Firstly, the agilent GPIB interface is correctly recognized expert Agilent connection and NOR-MAX

-Then the instrument of 2400 keitjley initially works correctly in Agilent connection Expert and NOR-MAX

BUT: when I try to send a command to the device (whether through the wizard or VISA using the Labview instrument driver), the tool returns an error (error "Application incomplete" punch followed immediately by a second "Invalid while in the local" error code)

At the same time, the Manager (32 open report VISA) conflict in expert Agilent connection says "NI-VISA has returned an error. "There is a conflict of interface between NI-VISA and VISA Agilent". He suggested that the conflict occurs when different interfaces receive the same number of interface in the two VISA.

Therefore, aware of the conflict that can occurs in a side-by-side installation, I tried to change the ID of Interface CLCL's Board of Directors in the Agilent connection Expert (from gpib0 to gpib9) and restart, but it did not help.

So can you help me solve this recurring problem?

Is it necessary to also change the VISA interface ID, or address of the GPIB Board Agilent GPIB in connection Expert? Wouldn't be the same address (9 for example)?

    I really do not understand.

Sorry for this new message on the configuration of this topics, but I found no useful advice in the forums.

    See you soon,.

    Yoyo87.

Finally, I got my system running after several tests, although I couldn't use NI-VISA as first VISA (allowing the tulip passport) with agilent VISA (permit for programs OR-488) at the same time.

I uninstalled it all components of NOR and the agilent and re - install in the correct order (OR first, followed by agilent): nothing has changed.

I check for updates of agilent and NOR and use several different versions of VISA at the same time: nothing has changed and I still communication errors when you try to send the order through NI-VISA Interactive control or labview (although it worked well by expert agilent of connection).

I don't really know why, but I solved my problem by installing Agilent VISA primary visa. In this way, even if I do not see the Council of Agilent in NOR-MAX, I can always send control of GPIB instruments by labview using their VISA address or aliases defined in connection expert Agilent...

I am always interested to understand why I was not able to run the two VISAs on my system with agiulent only one card PCI GPIB... so if one of you sees a clear reason for this...

Thanks in any case, even if I don't have a lot of response on this topic...
