    LabWindows/cvi 2013

    First install Visual Studio 2012.  Then follow this installation Labwindows 2013.  In the installation options, I check 'visual studio 2010' (there is no option for VS2012).

    Question: After the installation of Labwindows, I expect to see patterns added to the "New project" dialog box in Visual Studio.   For several years I used labwindows.  Changed the method for using Labwindows with visual studio?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello jsut64,

    Unfortunately, there is no option to integrate with Visual Studio 2012 yet LabWindows/CVI. We plan to add in a future release.

I then try the sfc/scannow command, but it comes up with another error stating that windows resource protection could not start the repair service. I am also unable to find my vista drive. Hello

    I would say that you can start your computer in a clean boot State and check if this is related to a software conflict of third.

    Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

    If this does not help, I'm afraid, you may need to do the Startup Repair and for that, you need the installation disc.

  • Windows 7 error: Bad Image

    Before closing this thread, please listen to me.

    So, I was see random errors with a file in my system32 folder called shfolder.dll. This error prevents me from using all the applications I need or want to use and is very irritating.
    Here's the report...
    application.exe - bad Image
    C:\windows\system32\SHFOLDER. DLL is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.
    That's what it reads, Word for Word, exactly. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it. Please help me.

    It seems that the clean boot won't be necessary, because I have already taken care of the issue with sfc scan. Thank you very much for your time Sir. Now I can continue with my game coding!

  • passage of data container of teststand labwindows/cvi handle error

    Hello

    I'm moving a container of teststand parameter to labwindows/cvi using this UI API messages following this code created by Peter-r. example:

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-23332

    It is a great example to start with, but as I run using worldwide debbugging lying on the build options, I see that the handle of the containerData object is not released. If I add the CA_DiscardObjHandle (containerData) anywhere in the project, it gives me a FATAL_RUN_TIME_ERROR. This handle must be released? If I call a bunch of these user interface Messages, it will cause memory problems? My code runs right now, great, but I don't want to face a problem of memory later.

    Any help on this will be great!

    Thanks in advance.

    -Luis

    When you add throw it? Maybe you add it to the wrong place. You must add it just after the CA_FreeMemory() called as follows:

    CA_DiscardObjHandle (containerData);

    It should work.

    You can also try the following instead of the functions:

    CA_CreateObjHandleFromInterface (var, & IID_IUnknown, 1, LOCALE_NEUTRAL, 0, 0, & containerData);

    I think that you will still need to get rid of the objhandle when using this API.

    At startup "Rundll.exe bad Image ' appears

    I found the file RUNDLL32 on the Windows XP Pro CD

    How can I replace the bad image version in my computer

    This is caused by viruses or other such pest that is already active on your computer, or which may have been badly removed (deleted without removing his boot entry).

    Run a Malwarebytes scan on your computer: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    Clean your Temp files, parasites often hide in temporary locations.  CCleaner is a very good tool for the removal of temporary files: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

    Do NOT use the function of registration of Ccleaner cleaning, registry cleaners are next few completely useless and mostly they cause more harm than good, they have a fix for the non-existent problems, at best they do nothing to improve performance, and at worst, they cause problems that did not exist previously.

    If you just did a normal installation of CVI 2015, it might still be interesting to try a force reinstall. It is possible that there is a corrupt file of CVI 2013 somewhere.

    Take the information to the same post here, it seems that this issue might be specific to your Windows configuration.

  • Compiler of CVI 2013: increment / decrement operator assessment

    Trying to pull an old project forward to 2013 CVI, I met a challenge, which is documented as follows:

    «In the summons, the value of the right operand is evaluated before indexing table is made in the left operand.» Expressions, such as a[i] = i++; will assess differently in LabWindows/CVI 2013 compared to previous versions. »

    (There is a somewhat related thread here to do with the order of function arguments are evaluated).

    This change in the order of evaluation is shocking to me. I guess there is some C history behind it, and I won't be able to change that.

    So my question is: what is the way easiest to identify all sites in my code where this could concern me? I ~ 75 000 lines of legacy code. Maybe some regex magic?

    Thank you

    Hello

    I'm happy to help you.

    I have test the latest version of clang (3.7 builded SVN), and I can confirm that it detects this 'problem' as a warning (and many other warnings too).

    Also it can integrate with the IDE CVI as external compiler, so it is easy to switch from a regular compiler CVI and this one. I can write a few small "guide" later, if you are interested.

  • enum type_def in 2013 CVI build error

    Hello

    I'm encoutering a problem that seems to be specific to the version number of LabWindows/CVI. I have attached the code and the problem I encounter is that I get failures in Build for the use of an enum type_def that is already declared in a header type and included at the top of the program. The specific error that I meet is the "name of unknown type 'int_err.'"

    My version of the CVI is 2013 Service Pack 1 (13.0.1 (201)). A colleague is able to successfully build this project on the version 12.0.1 (127), so obviously something has changed.

    Any ideas?

    With the supplied file your project compiles and links fine without any warning or error (I also use CVI13.01)

    However, I noticed that in your project the error.h path is different, then perhaps - by coincidence - you included a bad error.h file... would it?

  • Always get errors trying to control power 7651 YOKOGAWA on Labwindows/CVI

    Hello

    I'm trying to set the voltage on YOKOGAWA 7651 feeding through labwindows/cvi. I've set up a digital slide on my UI with callback function "yoko7651dcvolts" and the name of the constant "YOKO7651DCVOLTS".

    I always get this error when I run my program:

    "FATAL RUN-TIME ERROR: "DcSource.c", line 53, col 65, thread id 0x00001F3C: Invalid argument type: found 'pointer to double', expected 'pointer to int'."

    This error indicates the third argument to the GetCtrlVal function below. The lack of program/compiler pass the variable "yoko1volts" as a whole, but I want to (and should) be able to settle the tensions as floating numbers.

    Of more, even when I said "yoko1volts" as a whole, it stills does not work. All I get is zero, zero and zero... on the power meter whenever I press the digital slide.

    This is the section of the C code which is problemic:

    int CVICALLBACK yoko7651dcvolts (int panel, int control, int event, void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2){ double yoko1volts; switch (event) { case EVENT_COMMIT: GetCtrlVal (yoko76511Panel, YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651DCVOLTS, &yoko1volts); // to read the values entered on the numerical meter on the user interface

            yk7651_set_volts (yoko76511Panel, yoko1volts); // set the entered values as voltage on the instrument

            break;    }    return 0;}

    It's the h-file related:

    #define  YOKO7651_1                       4#define  YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651SWITCH        2       /* control type: binary, callback function: yoko7651switch */#define  YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651DCVOLTS       3       /* control type: scale, callback function: yoko7651dcvolts */

    Please help, how can I solve this problem?

    All pilots (including feeding YOKOGAWA 7651) are correctly installed and mounted. In fact, I can successfully turn the power supply on and off with the code below:

    int CVICALLBACK yoko7651switch (int panel, int control, int event,        void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2){    int yoko7651switchstate;    switch (event)    {        case EVENT_COMMIT:        GetCtrlVal (yoko76511Panel, YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651SWITCH, &yoko7651switchstate);        SetCtrlVal (yoko76511Panel, YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651SWITCH, !yoko7651switchstate);        yk7651_output (yoko76511Panel, !yoko7651switchstate);            break;    }    return 0;}

    It is just setting the voltage on the power supply which is very problematic. Any help is appreciated... Thank you.

    I second opinion Al of a disconnection between the UIR and the variable that contains the handle to the Panel.

    As a side note, I noticed that the problematic line reads the value of the controll which callback is executed:

    #define  YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651DCVOLTS       3       /* control type: scale, callback function: yoko7651dcvolts */

    int CVICALLBACK yoko7651dcvolts (int panel, int control, int event, void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2){ double yoko1volts; switch (event) { case EVENT_COMMIT: GetCtrlVal (yoko76511Panel, YOKO7651_1_YOKO7651DCVOLTS, &yoko1volts); // to read the values entered on the numerical meter on the user interface

            yk7651_set_volts (yoko76511Panel, yoko1volts); // set the entered values as voltage on the instrument

            break;    }    return 0;}

    In a situation like this, I will try using GetCtrlVal (Panel, control, & yoko1volts); Instead, which should get rid of all the problems in the control panel manage / control ID.

    Despite this solution works, anyway I'd be deep into the problem like a bad Panel can lead to erratical behaviors in other parts of the program.

  • Re: Cannot connect - how can I fix the error "Bad Winlogon.exe - Image"?

    Last night, my laptop did something weird. The screen is blue and it has conducted an audit. The audit was in three parts (that's all I remember) once this is done, my laptop back running and it worked very well.

    Later that morning, he crashed and restarted, but when it comes to where he usually displays user logons, it came with an error message. The title was winlogon.exe - bad image
    and the message describes how the file is incorrect.

    Now, my laptop won't let connect me. How can I fix it?

    It seems that the file system was corrupted unfortunately he touched one of the important files needed for windows to boot.

    You will need a bootable CD to repair the problem for that I recommend Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, you can download from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5D600369-0554-4595-8AB4-C34B2860E087&displaylang=en

    Run the Setup program, go to the installation folder and burn "erd50.iso" as an image (not a data CD) file using software such as Nero.
    Then you need to boot from the CD I do not know how it comes to your laptop so check the manual or change the boot order in BIOS whether it is the method as start the recovery disc.

    When the software is loaded will ask that the Windows installation you want to repair if no disc i.e. C: is offered in the drop-down list, then you may need to change the BIOS setting regarding the AHCI mode, compatible and under tension when you are finished.
    If drive C is visible then the hard drive is accessible, however, you must select "does not fix an installation of Windows." and click OK.

    Click Start, then select "Command prompt", you will get a black box with white text.

    type the following command and enter: chkdsk c: /f /r

    This command will perform a full scan of your hard disk and correct any errors, he can find that could take up to 45 minutes depending on the size of your disk.
    When he finished closing and restart your laptop without the CD in the drive, if you have changed the AHCI mode in the BIOS then change back.

    If Windows still doesn't boot then boot from the CD again and restart "Command Prompt".

    type the following command and enter:

    c:
    cd\windows\system32

    If entered correctly your screen should display: C:\Windows\system32 >

    type the following command and enter: (Note: the point is necessary and not a typo)

    Copy dllcache\winlogon.exe. /y

    If all goes well you should see a message: 1 file (s) copied.

    Stop the laptop restore all the BIOS settings and hopefully Windows will boot again normally. :)

  • Bad Image error - igdumdim32.dll

    Igdumdim32.dll somehow got on my Windows 7 system. From what I can find, it is a dll for Windows 8. Get the error message: "C:\windows\system32\igdumdim32.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error...". "Very irritating and does not disrupt some features. What should I do?

    Let me describe the problem as completely as possible.

    Reads the 'error' message: "C:\Windows\system32\igdumdim32.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator... »

    The "error" message occurs repeatedly. It occurs when I try to open a video on Foxfire. It's entitled"FlashPlayerPlugin_15_0_0_223.exe - Bad Image. "When I click OK, the message reappears. It appears 3 times in total and after I clicked OK whenever the video runs correctly, but it won't go full screen. This does not happen with Internet Explorer. The same message occurs when opening certain programs such as: Quicken (titled qw.exe - bad Image), QuickTime Player (titled QuickTimePlayer.exe - bad Image), Garmin Express (titled Express.exe - bad image) and others. In all cases the message come up 3 times and once I clicked OK for everything the program runs normally.

    I tried to find igdumdim32 in windows\system32, but he's not here. There's an igdumdim64 it. However, I found in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\5.inf_a...etc. It is also in C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

    Just in case someone else looking at this, I finally corrected this problem.  If you're reading this, it probably means that you have the same problem.  There are dozens of this error of 'Bad Image' messages in this forum and in the Microsoft forum.

    I think that 'Image' is the idea here, but it took me a long time to understand that.

    By a very winding road, I finished on the Intel support site (a friend suggested this).  Here, you can download a utility to update the drive, I did.  When he was executed, he informed me that he thought that I have a graphics driver of custom provider and (thank you), I would be cautious about downloading a new driver on their part.  That is why I did not.  However, that me indicated that there could be a graphic driver problem.

    Then I remembered that during my many and varied travels through the internet read something on a "Recovery Manager" that HP installs in the product (once again, thank you very much).  HP customer care has to a set of instructions on how to use the tool on their website: (using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7).

    I ran the Manager and I replaced the drive of Intel graphics.  Problem solved.

    I hope this can be useful to others.
