Lack of channels guide data

I noticed tonight I wasn't no longer receive information from guide updated in Windows (7) Media Center and learned that you have changed from zap2it to Rovi suppliers.  So, I went to re-run the installation program while he would find the new information provider guide and start using it.  I used a number of zip codes around the area and all find and display the correct information to "Idaho son-Poctllo antenna" I'm looking, but it lacks the 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4 channels and guide data that are long-standing channels that have remained unchanged in a long time.  These channels is now, Telemundo, CW and ABC (reruns of local news).

I can easily add channels so they are watchable, but doing so does nothing to get guide data, so I can only make records based on the timer for the shows on the channel.  It does not help to run the "get latest guide" because Rovi apparently does not know the channel.

In my view, Rovi is the problem here, but they do not seem to accept your comments or update of information of end users.  I can't find a way to communicate with them with updated information.

If it's a problem of Rovi, can you direct me to a web page or support email to Rovi for someone who cares and who can get the necessary changes?

Hello

According to the description of the problem you are facing problem with ROVI. Then I suggest you to contact ROVI support for assistance. As they are the best people who can guide you in the right direction.

Hope that the information provided is useful. Let us know if you have any concerns related to Windows. We will be more than happy to help you.

WMC is based exclusively on Zap2it lists of channel in order to settle and watch the channels for CableCard card systems, indicating that there is no way to change/add channels manually. For this reason, we have no way to view the right channels until Zap2it updates the range.

I tried to contact Zap2it directly, but got no response. It is just 2 channels I know immediately, there are more than likely others also. If Zap2it change their lineups accordingly, is a way to manually manipulate the data updates and Zap2it block? If this isn't the case, Microsoft do anything to this topic?

    Hello Brad,

Thanks for the reply and we update on the State of the question. I'm sorry for the delay in response. I understand that this question is related to a bad configuration parameter between Media Center and Zap2it.

Microsoft works with suppliers of different channel to make sure that Windows Media Center is running, but in rare scenarios in one or the other setting may not work as expected.

restart and try to TVSETUP with a ZipCode nearby. If you still have a problem
You must include your provider name and postal code

  • Why the Math channel records datapoints twice as much as my channels of data when I export it?

I have data on channels 1 and 2 and also have the selected math (A + B) channel.

When I export data, it records twice as many data points for the channel of mathematics than others. Why is this?

Notice that I use a sample, pic not detect.

If someone could answer this question, I would be very grateful.

What version of the application you are using - 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2?

In versions 1.0 and 1.1, the math channel makes a linear interpolation between the samples using cursors support and measures. 1.2, we have improved the cursors and were able to remove the linear interpolation.

What is your version of the application, the time stamp associated with each sample will tell when the sample was taken.

  • Use creation to read alternating channels and data

I have a csv file that I am trying to create a use. The help file says that if I specify a line in the form of data, then all subsequent lines must also be given.

The first line of my file is a header parameter names of test. I would like these are the names of channel for the actual data (parameter values) that follow on the next line.

Then I have a blank line, then a line with my main data channel names. The following lines are then the main actual data.

I'm sure I need a VBScript to do this, but am a little to get something that works based on examples that I found on the shelf.

I want to bring in the header data in the data portal so that I can put some of them together with graphs in my reports.

I have attached a sample data file. Also, I would generally ignore some of the columns of data (in this case, columns 3 to 10)

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hi Greg_Gran-

I have attached a personalized use which will be structured according to your posted example files and will ignore the third to the tenth data channels.

To use the use, simply unzip the cover record attached to your hard drive.  Double-click the *.uri file that is included to register for use with your computer.  Once you get the registration successful dialog box, you will be able to load your data files.  Because CSV is a format of generic file with many variations, you may need to push the priority of this particular use for the *. "" "Extension CSV through DIAdem NAVIGATOR" settings "My DataFinder ' configure ' menu File Extensions so that this use is always used instead of the other *. DataPlugins CSV.

I didn't know if you wanted to ignore the third to the tenth of all columns of data or from time to time, so I built a small hook in the use that will allow you to adjust the 'package' of ignored channels (e.g.: 3-10, 1-5, 21-30).  To change the range of the use know when loading:

      1. Select the NAVIGATOR tiara.

      2. "" "Select Settings ' Options ' Extensions ' DataPlugins.

      3. Right-click the use of Greg_Gran_CSV, and then select Edit the Script.

      4. In line 5 of the use, the variable "Ignore" is defined as a one-dimensional two values (3 and 10) table.  These are the upper and lower values defining the range of the data channels to ignore.  To load all the data, change the value (or both) - 1.

      5. Save the use.

As I had only a single file to test with, I can't guarantee that there will be problems with your other files - let me know if you encounter any problems or if you have any other questions.

  • How to stop a single channel of data acquisition while continuing to monitor another?

I wonder if it is possible to stop and collect data (Ex: send Excel) from a channel on my acquisition of data (Ex: channel ai0), but continue to collect data from all channels (Ex: ai2).

You do so much too difficult for yourself here.

    1. you use graphics.  It's great!  Here's the thing about the graphics: they keep a story.  So there is no need to append waveforms  Just wire the waveforms directly in the table.

    2. change your Dynamic Data type for a waveform output.  It will make your cards a little happier.

    3. you can right click on the card when the program is running and that there is an option to export-> To Excel.  No additional coding necessary.

  • Property node "DAQmx system" global channel does not read changed MAX global channel of data after the 1st round

I use the property system DAQmx node to read all the data the scale for global for thermocouple in MAX I use MAX 4.4, LV7.1.1, with a SCXI chassis in a PXI-1050 chassis. It seems to read the properties very well on first run. However, if you then change a channel property overall Max (for example a ladder or a type thermocouple factor) and it saves to the MAX, and then runs again the property node, it still read old data Max. To get it to read the changed data, it must close the VI, and then reopen it. It's painful when you recalibrate a vast set of thermocouples using MAX.

Is it possible to force the node of system DAQmx property to reread MAX whenever it is executed, without closing his VI?

See attachment. Run called standalone VI... PRINCIPAL. See instructions on the VI.

    Thank you

    Tim

    Hi Tim,.

Your main VI has not been updated is because you do not clearly the task after every time you call the DAQmx property node.

Attached is a modified version of your code that works. I just added the Task.vi clear DAQmx in the FindChanProps.vi.

Any ideas what the problem is and how it can be fixed?

So, I finally got the guide to download. I don't know why he picked up, and I don't know why it stopped working in the first place. It is the sequence of steps that brought her to life.

Synchronize the PC with the time clock Internet.
    Disable Media Center & reboot.
Activate the functionality Media Center and restart.
Run the Media Center Setup from scratch.
Open a window (as administrator) command prompt and run mcupdate with the parameter - uf (start/wait mcupdate %windir%\ehome /d - uf).
Mcupdate lasted several minutes and finally crashed with a message that the update process could not continue. On the taskbar, the icon Mcupdate said he was "Starting Client Update".
Mcupdate restarted itself and ran until she has yet.
This repeated 4 or 5 times and I finally have it canceled since the Task Manager.
Opened the Media Center and started the update of the Guide from there.
A message popped up indicating that the guide was a problem with the client.
Revived the update of the guide and it is finally completed successfully.
Close the Media Center client and reopen it. The Guide seems perfect.

All is now well with the Media Center client. However, I don't know why, or if it will start still hesitated to more downloads. Perhaps documenting this sequence of steps will help others. Maybe Microsoft can use this information to help solve this bug in Windows 7 and release a patch.

  • 1059 Error - cannot get 11 channels of data written in the spreadsheet file

    Hello everyone

Again, it's Luke. I got the 7 fixed error, missing just a specific filepath to save data too.

I now hit another snag along the way. When I enter data into a spreadsheet box writing, an error comes up saying "error 1059: unexpected file type".

Anyone have any idea why its doing this?

The only things that I put in the function box is some specific data on 2 GPS units I use, with a tension from my DAQ and the installation of strain gauges. Information works on my front and information is coming through, but will not save the data in a spreadsheet file, and writes a .lvm file will not work either.

I will surround a printscreen of the configuration for the block diagram:

    Ohm Man wrote:

    How do you define it?

You set under whatever file name you put in your control filepath.

I don't think it makes sense to get an error that says for attempting to write to a text file.

Any chance you try to write the file to a path that you have not the full access rights to?  I think the error may be 1059, but it's actually be caused by a file windows error.  How about some strange characters in the name of the control that are not valid in Windows file?
