  Thanks for the info.

  MPEG files are problematic in all versions of Movie Maker.
  Best bet would be to convert the files to the. WMV format
  before you import into Movie Maker.

  There are many converters available on the net... some
  free... some detail.

  The following freeware converter is just one example:

  (this is where you find your files after they)

  Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

  Select "all to WMV" / OK...

  Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

  That should do it...

• CC 2015,3 gel sequence multicam and lack of codecs

  Updated to 2015.3 and am now encounter problems that are maintain a sales lead time!

  -The Multicam nested sequence does not work more.  I have a multi-sequence 3 cam which was working fine before the update and now when the sequence passes to a new camera angle the video stream freezes for a minute or 2 and then continues to play smoothly.  Very annoying and wait a long time to unlock.   After it thaws it will play every angle smoothly as long as I never pause the video.

  -Lack of codecs! MXF are most recognized which is the format of one of my 3 cameras.   I tried too out to mpeg2-bluray and that no longer exists?  I tried bluray h.264 and the sound was not synchronized with the video.

  Specifications for computer-

  Windows 10

  6 core i7 processor

  16 GB of ram

  Nvidea 7 series graphics card (don't remember the exact model)!

  A small test of mine project was happening as you describe. (Multi-came reactivity and crappy).

  Try disabling "Intel h.264 decoding acceleration.

  It is enabled by default. Turn it off (and then save / close / open body) makes as sensitive as 2015.2.

  There are many types of. AVI files... If yours goes
  for an XviD file... you probably have the XviD codec.

  I'm trying to play videos of when my child was a baby. A few precious memories - although taken with a Webcam.

  I am running Windows XP SP 3. Research on the forum here, it seems that the codec has been removed from windows. And unless I pay a company in 20 US dollars more or less, I won't get to see these videos. Sounds like inmate hostage if you ask me!

  I'm not a computer genius and therefore will probably asked a question that has already been asked and answered. My concern is with my Windows 7 Media Player I have on my HP all-in-one. My friend sent me some video clips of his cell phone, I then forwarded to my email account. Then I downloaded them to my file to download. When I tried to play in thse clips, WMP hesitated and told me because of what we call "codecs" or a file format that WMP has not recognized, videos could be played.  So should I upgrade my WMP or find something else that plays the video to cell phone?   Keep in mind that everything works fine in CC2014. There is no question here to do with import, proper use of AVCHD file structure blah blah... the problem is with Premiere Pro CC2015 codecs does not.

  I already talked to others who see the same thing with Canon C300 MXF images when you open CC2014 files in CC2015. That's why two very different codecs with the same problem.

  Reminds me of the old modes where some codecs did not work due to the licensing of demonstration. Looks like CC2015 can not access the codecs for one reason or another. I don't know how to fix it.

  My mac lab running Adobe CC.  Recently, I ran by ARD RemoteUpdateManager for updating CC on these macs.  Now, users get the warning:

  User profiles are deleted on logout, this error appears every time a user later edits AVCHD video or export audio in Dolby Digital.   Y at - it digital codec dolby I can download/install?  Or, I'm stuck having to create a new model of the user for each workstation...

  When the Dolby file is imported or exported for the first time, SOUL installs the codec in the /Users/Shared/AdobeinstalledCodecs/1.0 folder in order to use the codec in the app.  If you delete this folder and files inside codec, you will see this dialog next time you import or export files Dolby again.

• No results found for: asf codec missing in wmp 12 (this forum)

  My computer is a clean install of Windows 7 x 64 built with a (Windows 7 compatible) Intel DG45ID motherboard.  I had problems with his stuttering during playback of AVCHD video files (files of camera video sony with file extension ".m2ts"). This problem occurs if I installed Intel high-definition audio driver or install the driver of Windows 7 by default.

  To test my basic configuration of windows, I went to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992 which explains Windows Media (.wma, .wmv, .asf, .wm) formats.  I downloaded the test files and when I tried to play "wmt.asf", that should be played by Windows Media Player 12 (installed by installing Windows 7) I get an error message:

  "Windows Media Player cannot play, burn, rip, or synchronize the file because a required audio codec is not installed on your computer."

  Based on Microsoft support link above, it is my understanding that the required codec is installed when installing Windows 7.  So my question is, 'how to WMP 12 lack of codecs and solve these problems?'

  To eliminate all the other issues, I built a new computer TEST last night with DH55HC motherboard the Intel processor i5 - 660 and 4 GB of RAM. I will install Windows 7 x 64 (with Intel and all updates Windows 7 drivers, but no other software) and see if I get the same results. If I do, my conclusion is that Windows 7 does not load the required codec.

  316992 KB has not been updated since May 2008, so it contains no information on Windows Media Player 12.

  Test1:  I installed Windows 7 and Intel drivers (need driver LAN for Internet access) on the new computer TEST.  I played a number of media files which all worked without problem: mp3, rmi, mid, wma, wav, wmv, mpg, and m2ts AVCHD video (m2ts file extension) played without stuttering audio and the audio and video were also synchronized.  I got tired of playing an asf file example I downloaded on the Internet and he also played without any problems.  I went back to KB316992 and tried to download and play the sample file "wmt.asf", which resulted in the same error message reported earlier.

  Conclusions:  1. the files were corrupted on the original computer when I installed Nero 8 Essentials and then uninstalled Nero to install a newer version, Nero 9 Reloaded (this was the only installed software that is multimedia).  I don't know why Nero Software caused corruption, but Nero 8 Essentials is not compatible with Windows 7.  Information on "Nero 9 Reloaded" indicates the compatibility of Windows 7.

  2. the example of asf to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992 file does not work in Windows Media Player 12 and should be fixed or replaced when KB 316992 is updated to include Windows Media Player 12 (or whatever the action Microsoft decides is appropriate).

  Right so I have CS6 and that you have successfully updated my first to 6.0.3. I get the error 'sequence a lack of codecs' which is the infestation CS6 users (I've been on a lot of sites/forums through all the patches). I opened the program from Adobe and updated to implement everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled and made the own system as suggested on the Adobe help page several times. I tried to do new projects and then tried re-opening of mine (apparently it has worked for some people). I even made a copy of the project and tried to change the lines of code for the codecs in the sequence of the i-Frame MPEG in AVI. I rebooted my system after each attempt. I can not even open the project.

  I can however make a new project and import ALL of the images. This seems strange to me, but hey, it works. Here's my problem. My producer (the project is a pilot to see the TV) large images/journal notes/color left images encoded for me in the initial project (marking takes good and bad, between b-roll interviews, etc.) I want to be able to access all of these notes, she did this on his machine and I will now change my desktop at home. Is there anyway that I can get the images in my new project to comply with all of these notes?

  I am close to the end of my rope here and time runs out, I'm on a very tight deadline and work as full time another edition of work during the day. Any help on fixing was created so that I can open the original project or move the notes of sequences from one project to the other would be VERY APPRECIATED. Thank you for your time and your help.

I have no problem using these files in pre version 2 & 10, but when I try to open them in pre 9, I get the message "codec missing or not supported" and that they do not matter. Question: Why the work of the version 2 & 10, but not 9? ... And what is the most easy to fix - download a codec pack or a video converter (I hope a free)?

  This problem is often due to the lack of codecs that come with the built-in MS Reader

  My suggestion is that you give up the built-in player and switch to use the VideoLAN player.
