lack the recovery on 10.7.5 Partition image

I have an external USB drive with an image of MacOS 10.7.5. When I start with down option, now there is no Partition on the external hard drive, just the Macintosh HD partition recovery.

Is it possible to recreate the recovery Partition?

• OS X: on Recovery Disk Wizard - Apple Support

• DiskMaker X: (old version)

This can be useful. Do not know since I have not tried.

Read the instructions and have backups before you try.

Good luck!

    Hi imksa

You now have a problem. Of course you have formatted the whole HARD disk and also remove recovery image saved on the recovery partition. This can be done if you have already created a recovery (USB or DVD) media.

I assume that you do not have these materials of recovery, right?

  • Help... How to use the recovery on Pavilion g4 2014tx partition

Hi all... Would like to ask how to use the recovery partition and what is the effect if I used it... ?

    Thank you...

    Hello:

You normally start the PC, and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, you press the F11 key to start the Recovery Manager program.

Then follow the instructions to restore your PC to its state of software "out of the box.

In so doing you re-partition and reformat the hard drive.

All THE data you have on the PC will be lost.

So make sure that you copy the files that you want to keep on a portable hard drive before proceeding.

It is also for if you have created a storage partition. You must copy all the files from that too.

All partitions are erased and redone.

  • What should be the recovery on a HP sys Partition?

Good day all, I have a problem that I need help with. I would like to know how to determine the size of the (recovery partition) when formatting a new hard drive? I want to install a 500 GB HDD, (replacing the exact same drive has failed). The old drive was inaccessible. I was unable to see the settings of the original scores. Help!

    Hello

If you use your recovery disks to reinstall the operating system on the new drive, they format the HARD drive in the process and automatically re-create the recovery with the right Partition size.

  • Access to the recovery on an a6200.it partition

    Hello everyone,

I am facing a minor speed bump (supposely) while restoring my a6200.it gt667AA-ABZ (Amd 64 Live!). I had to downgrade to windows XP, but I kept my RESTORE partition intact PLANT.

Alas, I had broken my HP - MBR so I can't access the restore utility.

I tried to "call" the partion of XP bootloader as follows

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Installa Vista"

And yet it say "miising HAL file"... any clues on how can I get my Vista back ? Again I'm sure the partition is ok as I didi a CRC32 test before switching to XP and afterwards... same result !

    Thanks a lot

  • Qosmio F20 - how to format only C: partition using the recovery disk

    Hello

    My laptop is Qosmio F20

After installing my OS using the recovery CD, I created more partitions... now, I have 5 partitions.
Now I want to reinstall my OS on the C: where there already exist right now but I would like to format the C: partition until I use the "expert installation"...
    How can I do?

Also, if I used the 'expert' facility that gives me the option to choose which partition I like to use. He reformatted the partition before installing or it is it will be overwritten?

Thank you some much in advance.

As far as I know the partition will be formatted quickly at first and then the recovery image is installed.

I had problems with the computer a few weeks ago and had to do a disk/partition Acronis backup restore. Drive C: / (and all my other readers) are working as they should but drive E:/where is the partition installed normal recovery does not restore properly. I recently had another problem and tried to do a restore using the partition HP recovery and got the error messages it is not found? I didn't use the Acronis since the results had already been mentioned.

HP web site does not list my computer and I think I need to order a set of recovery from my web research disc, but I'm going in circles on the HP web site trying to find out where to order or send an email to technical support. Looks like HP wants just to sell their hardware and then completely dump you after disregarding needs later? I am very frustrated with HP because it seems that if you have not purchased the equipment in the last 90 days you're in their "rearview mirror" when it comes to help?

I still have to call their phone support since I had 'experience' with their offshore support in the past and would really like to avoid new frustrating experience with the entire HP support system.  Why can't I just ask a question and get a resolution - is it too ask?  Apparently Yes...

Can anyone help me to get what I need to replace the recovery on my desktop computer partition and get it all working properly again? Thank you in advance for any help that will help solve this problem. Robert

Well, since the computer came with Vista, then the recovery partition will be of no other value to reinstall Vista, which I assume is not what is wanted.  If the Windows 7 install disk is always available, then reinstall Windows 7 on this disc and new departure.  Was the original Vista 32 bit and the new Windows 7 64-bit, so is not "upgrade was/is possible, but a new install anyway."  As the other 64-bit programs have been added after the upgrade to Windows 7, installers will need to be rerun to get install them after you have reinstalled Windows 64-bit.  Otherwise, the Acronis image can be used.  Unless HP has published this same model computer with Windows 7 64-bit, there is no HP support and hense no recovery partition. Sorry

  • New HD: The recovery partition restore

    Hello

I'm trying to upgrade my hard drive of 3000 N200 to a bigger, faster disk (250 G).

I find the recovery (startup Lenovo care button) of a big utility feature, because I'm a computer technician and my system has to be reinstalled frequently.

My question is: How can I migrate the recovery on my new drive partition.

I used Symantec Ghost to clone disk to disk (I put the two in a desktop PC and copied directly from 1 in the other), but let the ghosts to change the size of the data partitions (to my knowledge, ghost has kept the same size of the hidden recovery partition).

But when I try to boot from the recovery partition, I block just after the choice of the F key (where I pressed F11) on a white screen.

I saw a few disks and restore discs can be, but I would use the recovery partition as it is autonomous and always with the computer by definition.

Is there a way to get things to work on the new drive.  I have access to the old drive as it still works OK, so slow.

    Thanks for the information

    Marc

    Hello

OK the first issue should not be a problem. If the recovery does not create a partition which is normal and ok. If you want your second partition to a partition Manager (just google for "partition manager") at the time and re-partition your hard drive. That's all.

Regarding your "" "problem: could you explain again what you want?" I mean when I type 'Shift + 2', then I get ", whereas the problem?"

  • Create the recovery Partition D on DVD - HP Pavilion 6620f

I just replaced the original, slowly due to lack of 1 TB of internal hard drive that came with this PC with a Western Digital, which is 300 GB. When you restore the backup of the original image, there was not enough space to restore the recovery Partition D. PC operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

Someone told me to put the score on a DVD "bootable" in case of future need. 2 questions:

    1. What is the solution?
    2. If so, can someone tell me how to do? Or direct me to a place to learn?

I'm NOT a technical person found thing in replacement of entire disk completely intimidating despite all the learning that I had! That's why I don't know what to do now - or if it's feasible even for a "non-techie".

Any suggestions most appreciated! Thank you.

    lindairene,

Your correct. The DVD will be re - create the entire original scores in C and D on a hard drive.

    (1) the hard disk (in GB) must be the same size or larger

    (2) search the original hardware configuration. You have not changed the hardware cards.

I have no support from reccovery.

I tried to restart the mchine pressing F2, but I still get the same screen.

  • On the recovery partition low disk space

My grandfather had assembled this computer and it seems to have two disks (disk Local (c) and (d) PRESARIO_RP), it seems I do not start to go or use PRESARIO somehow, even if it has RECOVERY software in this regard.  I did the math, my computer says that it is only about 2 GB (there are also a few minor cases on this subject), but the capacity has to be 11.2 GB.  I constantly receive say error message that it runs out of space, and when I shoot to the top of its properties, it says I have only 2.04 MG left on the disc.  Any thoughts?

    Hello

COMPAQ PRESARIO is a brand of computers HP (Hewlitt Packard)

If D: is 11.2 GB it's definitely the recovery Partition you already mentioned (PRESARIO_RP (d).

If you get this message Low Disl space on the D: partition, please read what applies to COMPAQ computers:

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.

  • safe to remove the recovery partition after having made discs?

As the title suggests, made the recovery discs and want to use the hard disk space that is absorbed by the recovery partition.  Is it safe to delete them or will the lack of it on the hard drive cause problems with the recovery discs if ever needed?

(G5135uk desktop HP just lowered from 7 to XP PC)

In your case of removal of Windows 7 as the operating system and using Windows XP, I would say it is safe.  If Windows 7 was used, I would recommend to keep in tact.  If the recovery disks are used, it must put the computer back to factory new, even with the Parition of recovery went.
