Hello

I have 2 connected sge2000p and create on an aggregation of links. Should I create a lag on the second switch too?

Thank you

How can I get a free installation of Lag for the games in LRT224?

I already tried to give "High priority" ports used by games like Dota 2, heroes of the storm, etc., as shown below, but the latency is still high.

In our previous configuration with DLink LB604, we used the sticky connection and there is no Lag. We sticky Wan1 related game Ports and 2 Wan for Http and Https Ports.

Is there a way for Linksys have a free configuration of Lag? We use this router now Internet café with 40 customers.

Please help me how to reduce the latency/Ping times.  Thanks in advance

If the router of games makes the QOS, then you must disable QOS in the LRA.

Sorry, Linksys has not approved the agreement of beta tester yet. I'll have an update.

  • 2808 LAG for use with VMware ESXi and Linux collage

I posted the month last about setting up my work with groups LAG http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-switches/f/866/t/19537080.aspx servers (I'll effectively implementing implement this Saturday)

I decided to buy a 2808 for my ESXi server get more aggregated connections to my staff iSCSI Linux server but now I'm worried I might have made a mistake to buy the 2808.

After looking in the manual before I realized I could have been mistakenly assuming that the 2808 had STP and LACP, as I can't find LACP anywhere in the PDF file. I guess that the configuration of my Linux machine for 802.3ad is out (a hope to make mode 4), so now for the configuration of my house, I wonder (* 1 *) that I have to configure my VMware NIC team like and what mode of binding should I use on my Linux host? As for the section at the top (my working configuration) (* 2 *) I don't know what to do about the road other than the leave as 'route based on originating virtual port ID "? (This is how our other data centers are configured, but I'm waiting for my admin network as agglomerates ESXi hosts are configured with the channels of port on our cisco switches)

For the House, I want to try to increase the bandwidth by using three NICs in each server, I was hoping that it works:
VMware: Route of IP hash function?
    w/Linux: balance-alb?

    -VMware:
    Before you begin:

    -Linux:
    * Descriptions of bonding modes *.
+ Mode 0 balance-rr: Round-robin policy: transmit packets in the sequential order of the first available through the last high school. This mode provides load balancing and fault tolerance.

+ 1 active-backup mode: Active-backup policy: only one slave in the link is active. A different slave becomes active if and only if, the active slave fails. MAC address of the binding is visible from the outside on a single port (NIC) to avoid confusion between the switch. This mode provides fault tolerance. The first option affects the behavior of this mode.

+ 2 balance-xor mode: XOR policy: transmit based [(adresse MAC XOR avec destination MAC traiterait de source) modulo County slave]. This selects the slave even for each destination MAC address. This mode provides load balancing and fault tolerance.

+ 3 broadcast mode: broadcasting policy: transmits everything on all slave interfaces. This mode provides fault tolerance.

+ Mode 4 802.3ad: IEEE 802.3ad dynamic aggregation of links. Creates aggregation groups who share the same speed and duplex settings. Use all the slaves in the active aggregator according to the 802.3ad specification.

    -Prerequisite:
-1.Ethtool support in the base drivers to retrieve the speed and duplex of each slave.
-Switch 2.A which takes care of IEEE 802.3ad dynamic aggregation of links. Most of the switches will require some type of configuration to activate 802.3ad mode.

+ Mode 5 balance-tlb: Adaptive load balancing transmission: Channel link that doesn't require any special switch support. Outgoing traffic is distributed according to the intensity of the current (relative speed) on each slave. Inbound traffic is received by the current slave. If the receiving slave fails, another slave takes over the MAC address of the failed receiving slave.

    -Prerequisite:
-1.Ethtool support in the base drivers to retrieve the speed of each slave.

+ 6 balance-alb mode: Adaptive load balancing: includes balance-tlb plus receive balancing (rlb) for IPV4 traffic and doesn't require any special switch support. Receive load balancing is achieved by ARP negotiation. Link driver intercepts the ARP replies sent by the local system on their way and replaces the hardware address of source with the unique hardware address of one of the slaves in the bond as different counterparts use different physical addresses for the server.

PS. http://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/dell-powerconnect-2800-series-spec_sheet.pdf said that the 2800 series supports LACP, so if I'm worried about anything on my iSCSI side slap me please in the face, but I guess even in this case, I'm still not sure how to configure the ESXi host because it does not support LACP without vSphere and my original configuration is a free version , so I have no web vSphere management needed to make the LACP allow the change.

Not sure if it is of no use: example configuration of EtherChannel / switches control protocol LACP (Link Aggregation) with ESXi/ESX and Cisco/HP (1004048), but that's where I was to base the choice on IP hash from.

It must have the support of layer 3 to achieve IP hash, IP addressing is a 3-layer technology, so a 6200 series or higher or the soon to be released N3000 series.

  • WLC LAG for HP switch

    Hello

I would like to connect my WLCs (5508) to HP Procurve switches.

Is I meet any problem if I chose to configure ports WLC for LAG?

The 7.0 config guide talks LAG as being a partial implementation of 802.1ad.

The guide speaks also on the connection to a catalytic role.

I see that HP also refers to the aggregation of links like LAG.

They will work together? Or do I have to separate AP Manager interfaces to separate the ports?

    Thank you

    Justin

    Justin,

I've been on many cases where the WLC has been connected to a HP switch configured for DELAY.  This works, you need just to make sure that the VIRTUAL networks are set up correctly on the trunk of HP. that is, make sure that properly define the bits containing the identified tag/no / no..

I've seen a number of people with questions on these forums with images keys do not release when you release the mouse and other weird things - almost always when a Wacom tablet has been installed. The problem persists even if the Tablet is disconnected.

I wonder if your problem is.

  • Why typing lag is in the Wordpress Editor?

Typing in the editor WYSIWYG in Wordpress is laggy since Firefox 5: enter, backspace lag for example nearly a full second while other keys as letters are delayed on a sporadic basis.

In safe mode, the lag is almost non-existent.
Application of safe mode settings (addons disabled, reset configuration, etc.) mode normal does not help.

The HTML part of the editor of the post is very good and I also had no problem with the editors of forum or this form as I type right now.

    The NEW update

    The previous update

One thing is much changed: INCREDIBLY FAST ICS EXPERIENCE! (Even with the Bloatwares!)

After weeks of work with the new firmware.587, it's that some of what I've noticed lately.

    1. When you use an application that is designated to be in the landscape, Launcher Home sometimes buggy, it displays a black screen with notifications on top. Once also seems when I got home, my pitcher has got to be in the landscape, which is weird.

Which is irritating, it's that you've closed all your apps, and always, host is configured to be on a black screen, untouchable, during a rotation in the landscape. PHONE MUST RESTART to get all things right again.

2 LED Notifications SOMETIMES works, but is NOT all THE TIME. I noticed when looking for whenever he goes to light when there is a new SMS or harmful, it will light.

    3. battery management seems very good with the new firmware, as I noticed.

    What's new dans.587 firmware here:

    1. LED of Notifications are working for new messages, new messages, missed calls and 3rd party applications.
    2. Incredibly fast Home Launcher, without the lag.
    3. Integration of Facebook for the Xperia is changed with 'Sony-integration of Facebook', nothing has changed except the name.
    4. No lags for recording HD video, even with the Image Stabilizer on (unfortunately, still monophonic audio)
    5. Movies Blu - Ray (720 p HD video, audio 5.1 ch) are now playable without offset (tried using MX Player)
    6. Dialer opens now in 1-2 seconds only, as well as the Smart Dialer feature now works without lag and sound errors.
    7. Contacts are now available more quickly when choosing recipients for SMS.
  • Game lag on Windows?

    My specs:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 (formerly Windows 8 Pro)

    HARD DRIVE 500 GB
1 GB nVIDIA GeForce GT M 620 (as well as the Intel HD Graphics 4000)
Intel Core i3 3 rd Gen 1.80 Ghz

I installed Red Alert 3 and tried to play. The game was set to medium settings with Pixel Shaders, the average value and shadows, the vertical sync, etc. set to OFF. The game play is smooth, but after a while, the game rowing for about 10 seconds and becomes smooth. I know that I have exceeded the minimum requirements for the game, and I have the latest video drivers installed. It happened before I reformatted my laptop (I used to have 8 pre-installed Windows).

The same thing has happened for Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour, with a lag for 10 seconds and then game becomes smoother after a while.

However, I noticed that after reducing to the minimum the game for some time and come back once more, that the game runs EXTREMELY smooth but lag after a few seconds. The game is playable but there is constant lag that irritates me, I tried to keep VERY low settings, but still no luck.

I can run Left4Dead, Left4Dead2, and Half Life 2 without any problems.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you! :)

Try to update the nVidia drivers. If no update is available, uninstall the drivers, reboot the PC, reinstall the drivers, reboot the PC and then check.

Since yesterday evening, 26/10/12 I have experienced random lag spikes on all games (Hawken Beta (installed yesterstay) Mechwarrior beta, MW3 and BF3).
    * Display rate doesn't drop when the shift happens
    * Last lag for 1-3 seconds
    * Shift occurs on cable connections and wireless
    * Shift occurs when person not me is on the network, and while others are on it as well
    * Only occurs during the game I can say
    * Not sure if other computers on the network are late because none of them are computer games
    * I did tests using SpeedTest and ping/DL/UL speeds are normal
    * Tried to disable the antivirus (Kaspersky). No change
    * Ran virus scans and malware using malwarebytes and Kaspersky. The two negative results

  • Unbearable adjustment brush Lag

    Hello.

Faced with a few adjustment absolutely terrible brush lag for centuries now. Everything works perfectly, my graphics card is perfectly fine, and I make sure that no other programs are running in the background. She is too sporadic – I could have little or no harm in a photo and monumental questions in the next. I tried absolutely everything possible to reduce the lag without result. Any suggestions?

Yes, of course, fixing it is out of your control, Adobe can only solve this problem by reprogramming of this function, and it won't happen in version 6.

  • ESXi 5.5 nic teaming/LAG with trunking does not but it works on ESX 4.0.  Both are on the same switch. What gives?

I have two hosts (vhost1 = ESX 4.0, vhost2 = 5.5 ESX) both are configured for the Group and both connected to a switch of 1544 Adtran L3 (named sw01).  vhost1 has been in production for several years with the config below and has been solid as a rock.  I'm trying to reproduce the installation of grouping/collage on vhost2 and it does not work when are associated but will work when you are using a single NIC (with or without aggregation).

To be more specific about what does not work, two virtual servers have "Network server" (vlan 8) defined as a group of ports. Both physical and virtual servers on the same vlan cannot ping or resolve queries arp for virtual machines on vhost2.    Everything that is sent from a different subnet can connect to the virtual machines on each virtual server.

So the question is this: why not ESX 5.5 works as ESX 4.0 when the configs are also near identical, as I can make them and they are connected to the same switch?

Thanks for any input you can provide!

    Hello

Do you share the vmnic for ESXi management and network of the VM?

Try to follow the steps in this KB: VMware KB: NICs using EtherChannel grouping allows intermittent network connectivity in ESXi

Trying to team adapters using EtherChannel, network connectivity is disrupted on an ESXi host. This problem occurs because grouping NIC properties will not propagate to the network management portgroup in ESXi.

When you configure the ESXi host for grouping of NETWORK cards in attributing to the road based on ip hashload balancing, this configuration is not propagated to the portgroup management network.

    Workaround

Note: to reduce the possibility network loss please change the route based on the hash of IP using this method of balancing load vSwitch

    1. Close all ports in the physical switch team leaving a single port as active.
    2. Change the Route based on ip hash vSwitch and load balancing management Portgroup.
    3. Set up the physical switch port channel.
    4. Activate the physical switch ports.

Notes: Using this method will avoid a loss of connection when you switch to a port channel. Also make sure that under the properties for vmk portgroup # used for network management you tick the box "Enabled".

  • And now... the dreaded LAG (yet)...

OK, so now it struck me also. Photoshop CC2014 now has about a lag of one second on all operations of adjustment layer, including ignition and extinction of the layer. Direct pixel adjustments also have this lag of one second. Everything else, including brushes, seems to operate normally.

It comes to my home computer, a system i5 - 750, which is about five years old, but updated for the SSD and otherwise works fine. My other system to work, a new i7-3820, has no problem. Win 7 Pro 64 on both.

    Points of interest:

    • He is there not video card / OpenGL related. Deactivation of the GPU in total does no change, and neither does Basic > Normal > advanced.
    • PS The CC (2013) works always normally, no lag.
    • I have only two plugins (StarFilter Christmas and Alien Skin Bokeh). Uninstalled both, no change.
    • Uninstalled the driver for Wacom completely. No change.
    • The file size seems to matter. Very pronounced on D800 files, less affirmative D300 (but still there), negligible on the web of size.
    • The i5-750 is quadruple-heart, and the Task Manager indicates less than 60% CPU load, distributed on an equal basis for the lag. No problem.
    • Lightroom, which is also very sensitive to performance issues and lagging for nothing, still works perfectly. There's no lag.
    • No new fonts added to the last year.
    • Let the 2014.2.2 update to sit until about a month. Since then, for various reasons, Photoshop has not been used much on this system so far. So who could be.

Another thing I have to look? Again, I have an attack and an unaffected system. They are configured very similarly, but a slightly different material.

Well, well, well... the good old three fingers Hi toured. And here I am, getting ready to roll back to 2014.2.1.

Corrupt preferences, not less. I think that it is the first time I need the launch of alt + shift + ctrl, and it'll be the first thing I will try next time, I have weird behavior in PS.

[/ Quote] dude I have the same laptop and it's having a * cooling so if you have a program the temp display, you will see that you will get rich 105 temp of some lag for about 3-5 seconds and will happen a lot when playing most of the games so we must do the maximum of 75-95% CPU usage
