WLC LAG for HP switch

Hello

I would like to connect my WLCs (5508) to HP Procurve switches.

Is I meet any problem if I chose to configure ports WLC for LAG?

The 7.0 config guide talks LAG as being a partial implementation of 802.1ad.

The guide speaks also on the connection to a catalytic role.

I see that HP also refers to the aggregation of links like LAG.

They will work together? Or do I have to separate AP Manager interfaces to separate the ports?

Thank you

Justin

Justin,

I've been on many cases where the WLC has been connected to a HP switch configured for DELAY.  This works, you need just to make sure that the VIRTUAL networks are set up correctly on the trunk of HP. that is, make sure that properly define the bits containing the identified tag/no / no..

  • How to limit the voltage common mode for the switch

The user manual mentions a maximum of ±12V ground for my switch (pxi-2536) but I do not see an entry in the field on the pinout of the connector. If I have a floating supply, should I connect the ground to the chassis on the ground on the back of the PXI? Is there a better way to limit the common mode voltage?

Thank you specify, it makes much more sense!  The best way to go about this that seems will be grounded to the negative terminal of your power supply to ground the chassis security, as I think you suggested at the beginning.  I don't know what frame you have, but you should be able to find a "Reason for connection security" section in the manual. For example, here are the 1044 chassis manual, with the present article is on page 2-4. http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/371360a.PDF

How can I get a free installation of Lag for the games in LRT224?

I already tried to give "High priority" ports used by games like Dota 2, heroes of the storm, etc., as shown below, but the latency is still high.

In our previous configuration with DLink LB604, we used the sticky connection and there is no Lag. We sticky Wan1 related game Ports and 2 Wan for Http and Https Ports.

Is there a way for Linksys have a free configuration of Lag? We use this router now Internet café with 40 customers.

Please help me how to reduce the latency/Ping times.  Thanks in advance

If the router of games makes the QOS, then you must disable QOS in the LRA.

I am looking for a switch 2 x 1 printer compatible with windows 7 or drivers for Belkin F1U201 I

You could try to install Vista (32 bit only) driver in compatibility mode and see if it will work:
    http://en-us-support.Belkin.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/2569/~/f1u201---2x1-USB-peripheral-switch---driver

Depending on your current configuration, it may be easier in the long run to buy a wireless printer and share (if your PC supports wireless). Or buy a router that supports USB devices such as this one:

In this way, you can use wifi and UTP to connect computers and printers.

  • How to connect wlc 5508 on 2 switches for redundancy

Hi, I'm planning implementation of WLC5508, but in the documentation is not clear how to connect WLC5508 to two chassis for redundancy. I do it with WLC4404, where I have the opportunity to choose the primary and secondary port for the management interface. I understand that in 5508 management interface is not mapped to any port.

You can always set the primary/secondary ports as long as you have not enabled lag. If you try to use two different switches so you should not LAG have enabled anyway (unless it is a battery 3750 or vss)

You can always set several AP-managers as well.  By default, the management interface is an ap - manager, but he will not be an ap-Manager on the port of relief if you have a defined ap-Manager for the port...   Make sense?

Just think of the 5508 ports defined as a 4400, except that you don't have to have a Manager AP for each port, unless you want a...

  • 2808 LAG for use with VMware ESXi and Linux collage

I posted the month last about setting up my work with groups LAG http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-switches/f/866/t/19537080.aspx servers (I'll effectively implementing implement this Saturday)

I decided to buy a 2808 for my ESXi server get more aggregated connections to my staff iSCSI Linux server but now I'm worried I might have made a mistake to buy the 2808.

After looking in the manual before I realized I could have been mistakenly assuming that the 2808 had STP and LACP, as I can't find LACP anywhere in the PDF file. I guess that the configuration of my Linux machine for 802.3ad is out (a hope to make mode 4), so now for the configuration of my house, I wonder (* 1 *) that I have to configure my VMware NIC team like and what mode of binding should I use on my Linux host? As for the section at the top (my working configuration) (* 2 *) I don't know what to do about the road other than the leave as 'route based on originating virtual port ID "? (This is how our other data centers are configured, but I'm waiting for my admin network as agglomerates ESXi hosts are configured with the channels of port on our cisco switches)

For the House, I want to try to increase the bandwidth by using three NICs in each server, I was hoping that it works:
VMware: Route of IP hash function?
    w/Linux: balance-alb?

    -VMware:
    Before you begin:

    -Linux:
    * Descriptions of bonding modes *.
+ Mode 0 balance-rr: Round-robin policy: transmit packets in the sequential order of the first available through the last high school. This mode provides load balancing and fault tolerance.

+ 1 active-backup mode: Active-backup policy: only one slave in the link is active. A different slave becomes active if and only if, the active slave fails. MAC address of the binding is visible from the outside on a single port (NIC) to avoid confusion between the switch. This mode provides fault tolerance. The first option affects the behavior of this mode.

+ 2 balance-xor mode: XOR policy: transmit based [(adresse MAC XOR avec destination MAC traiterait de source) modulo County slave]. This selects the slave even for each destination MAC address. This mode provides load balancing and fault tolerance.

+ 3 broadcast mode: broadcasting policy: transmits everything on all slave interfaces. This mode provides fault tolerance.

+ Mode 4 802.3ad: IEEE 802.3ad dynamic aggregation of links. Creates aggregation groups who share the same speed and duplex settings. Use all the slaves in the active aggregator according to the 802.3ad specification.

    -Prerequisite:
-1.Ethtool support in the base drivers to retrieve the speed and duplex of each slave.
-Switch 2.A which takes care of IEEE 802.3ad dynamic aggregation of links. Most of the switches will require some type of configuration to activate 802.3ad mode.

+ Mode 5 balance-tlb: Adaptive load balancing transmission: Channel link that doesn't require any special switch support. Outgoing traffic is distributed according to the intensity of the current (relative speed) on each slave. Inbound traffic is received by the current slave. If the receiving slave fails, another slave takes over the MAC address of the failed receiving slave.

    -Prerequisite:
-1.Ethtool support in the base drivers to retrieve the speed of each slave.

+ 6 balance-alb mode: Adaptive load balancing: includes balance-tlb plus receive balancing (rlb) for IPV4 traffic and doesn't require any special switch support. Receive load balancing is achieved by ARP negotiation. Link driver intercepts the ARP replies sent by the local system on their way and replaces the hardware address of source with the unique hardware address of one of the slaves in the bond as different counterparts use different physical addresses for the server.

PS. http://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/dell-powerconnect-2800-series-spec_sheet.pdf said that the 2800 series supports LACP, so if I'm worried about anything on my iSCSI side slap me please in the face, but I guess even in this case, I'm still not sure how to configure the ESXi host because it does not support LACP without vSphere and my original configuration is a free version , so I have no web vSphere management needed to make the LACP allow the change.

Not sure if it is of no use: example configuration of EtherChannel / switches control protocol LACP (Link Aggregation) with ESXi/ESX and Cisco/HP (1004048), but that's where I was to base the choice on IP hash from.

It must have the support of layer 3 to achieve IP hash, IP addressing is a 3-layer technology, so a 6200 series or higher or the soon to be released N3000 series.

  • LACP Configuration for Distributed Switch - vSphere 5.5

I'm trying to set up the switch distributed in a new lab, but I have a question on how to properly configure the port offsets.

If I have a collection of servers, each with two uplinks to a physical switch, how to properly configure the LACP lag? All ports on all of the servers are part of the same GAL, or should I create a different OFFSET for each new host?

    For example:

Lets assume 16 servers. I create a single GAL on the DSwitch, mapping of all physical links 32 rising at the same OFFSET, then replicate the physical switch configuration? Or should I create 16 different gal, one for each pair of uplinks on each host server?

It seems strange to me that I should set up all servers on the same SHIFT, containing the uplinks for different physical host computers.

Aaron, looks like you got it. You can think of the LAG configuration on the switch distributed as a profile of the EEG applied to each host. The physical switch upstream is configured with an OFFSET for each host.

Uh, waiting for reconstruction is not the right solution. I expect not to rebuild the day before. I prefer to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. If in case there is no information of what I asked in my previous posts, then in the worst support we can take tips from Oracle Support.

  • Satellite A660-18 - Solution for WLAN switch disabled people

I finally solved this annoying problem, my laptop is a Satellite A660-18

Out of the box it just wouldn't connect to the wireless network. With the combination of keys Fn + F8 of the report: "Wireless communitcation is disabled, please enable the wireless communication switch.

Of course there is no such switch, just the FN + F8 key combination. After having tried various forums and technical support, I solved the problem myself.

    The solution is:
Go to the folder on your c drive "program files\Toshiba\TBS. Then scroll down the list of program files and double-click the file named TBSWireless.exe and hey presto, wireless communication goes on (Amber Light lights on the lower right front of the computer). Now the combination of FN + F8 key it will turn on and.

How correctly to write the script to switch between different waveforms when generating?

We use the niFgen allocate named Waveform VI to allocate three waveforms. When you run the generator, the first forms of wave of work. Then the generator is activated and used in the following waveforms only second and third.

Or, we have configured 10 waveformsand by train to spend no fixed cyclically between everyone, but only between 2 and 5 waveforms.

If it is possible to achieve?

    Developer of software and engineering,

    TeSLa.

    Hi Max,.

Each stage needs, too.  End ifs should take place at the end.  For example:

    If scriptTrigger0
    generate a myWfm0
    on the other
    If scriptTrigger1
    generate a myWfm1
    on the other
    If scriptTrigger2
    generate a myWfm2
