• Help me uninstall the Irish language Pack (IE)

  I write my messages to gmail in English. Since yesterday the words show everything they need of correction (emphasizing red dots). I don't know why. Maybe because I maybe selected recently Firefox (IE) Irish language Pack (dictionary).

  Simply select the dictionary of British English, or whatever you usually use, instead.

• Confirm that the language packs are useless for English

  My Linux distro came with Firefox ESR and pre-installed language packs (also Thunderbird and language packs). There are two entrances of package in the software for each of these applications Manager: the main program and the language packs, which indicates that all the languages in the language packs are installed/removed as a single unit. The online description indicates the language packs are used for 'other languages '. It does not say that the 'standard' language exists or if all languages require some language pack. I use English. Before you uninstall the language packs for both products, I want to confirm that they are not necessary for English. Thank you.

  Regarding the update, makes the subject of another post. I have it receive the notice of the update, but the update process does not (the audit online says that my version of 24.4 is the most recent and does not perform an automatic update.) If I click on the update notice, "connecting" message comes on to always without completing the connection to the update server. I understand that there is a way to install it manually, but it involves too many steps I'm not familiar with.

• Is there a list of words COMBINED, the language pack, for example a list with English words and Dutch?

  In the Netherlands, we very often mix Dutch and English and sometimes in German in a document or data entry etc. I'm getting a little tired of change language every 30 seconds to check my spelling mistakes. I want a list/language-pack with all the English and German and Dutch words it contains. Is there such a list or can I do it myself?

  Moreover, I know that less would be less accurate, since I do typo in an English word that could possibly create a word correctly written in Dutch or German, but I'm willing to take this disadvantage.

• How can I remove the unnecessary language packs?

  In paddling long, I found myself with four French language packs and in all my English (my mother tongue) navigation, the French packs take precedence on the English, AND they are 4:1. I want to reduce it to one language pack French contemporary that needs to be addressed by manually, leaving English as the default.

  I have a lot of parts to 'Install', but none for 'delete '. If the page Language Pack add-on was near the top, a link to the removal instructions, I wouldn't ask for support.

  Do you mean the four French dictionaries that you can see in the submenu languages if you right click on a text box?

  There is a sv_SE.aff and a sv_SE.dic in this archive.

  Try to extract the two files and check the type of file through the properties on the shortcut menu.

  I'm unable to install language packs on the server 2012R2, I no longer get the 775 error using dism, or no valid language pack that is found when you try to use the language pack install tool.  I downloaded the language of 2.6 GB with all languages pack.

  I just reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (after a crash of HD) and I try to install the Windows update Chinese language packs. However, I don't get packs of language that is presented to me as optional updates. How can I get these to show in Windows Update? It is the first computer I've seen this happen on.

  I have the same problem last week when I applied the SP1 on Win 7 Enterprise.  No available Language Pack.  This morning, I checked Windows Update again and the Language Pack are available as optional update.

  Is there a way to remove the updates of language in which I'm not interested to use in my menu optional update when I run windows update.  I'm not interested in the use of all other language modules, but whenever I try an update of windows, I get a list of all the available language packs in my optional list, I would like to banish completely.  Thank you.

  Highlight/select point, each of them, then right-click on the Group & hide them.

  How to hide updates from Vista & Win7: Start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step) | Windows Update | View the updates available (or Select the updates installed). Right-click on the update you want to hide. Click hide update | Confirm the UAC (User Account Control) prompt, as appropriate.

  To restore the hidden in Vista & Win7 updates: Start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step) | Windows Update: Restore hidden updates: Find and select the update you want to install. Click restore. You can now select once again it and install through the normal process.
