Laptop card mother size and structure question

Here of another question, I have acer aspire 4755g, and in this series, they have a lot of different types of processor but it still have the same shape and design. If I want to replace my old motherboard with a motherboard latest and modernized, my old one so intel i5 and gt540m 1 GB of ram, I want to replace it with the new motherboard coming with i7 and gt540m 2 GB of ram, I checked that the motherboard was of the same type in terms of chipset and version in some of the series of line acer4755g , so what worries me is that I'm afraid if I use the new motherboard does not correspond to my laptop, I want to say I'm afraid that the alignment of the screw will not be the same in my laptop, so I need some, it will be ok if I just buy the new motherboard for my laptop? has anyone have the same problem as me? anyone ever change their motherboard with a newer version and it can still work perfectly?

Hello mangaboy190,

It's me again!

The Aspire 4755 G comes in 4 colors: Brown, black, red and green.

There is only a single lower lid for all models.

As the motherboard is mounted on it, the distance between the mounting holes are identical.

Two motherboards and a low cover so...

  • HP Pavilion G6 2005ax: laptop card mother short circuit?

Hey everybody. My laptop does not charge and I am also unable to turn the laptop on the power chord. Power adapter works fine (tested on another laptop). The laptop works fine on battery. I took it to a service center (not an authorized) and the guy told me the motherboard has a short circuit and needs to be replaced.

I want to know if it is correct because the laptop works fine when using the battery. Unfortunately, the battery is dead so I can't use the laptop more. Would it be a problem with the DC Jack or a motherboard problem?

    Thank you.

Yes, it is likely to be the CC which is a separate replaceable part much cheaper than a motherboard. I would certainly try a new plug before as I have assumed that it is the motherboard. Our links are low right now, but check in a day or two for the part number and advice where to buy it.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and ambition, but the problem is going to be the best motherboard to use nVidia GeForce 9200 video which is old and not very strong and the system tops out at 4 concerts which is not a lot of RAM these days. The parts you want will not be very expensive, largely because they are outdated and not very useful.

But if you have to pay for the labor to do this, it will be unaffordable.

I know that people grow attached to their laptops, but if you want to get your up-to-date computing power, it is the time to buy a new laptop. If you want to continue to move forward, after return, we can help you find the parts you need. It is likely that will have to be eBay; HP no longer the motherboard in stock that I am sure.

  • Replaced the card mother zd8000 and need a hand, help please...

    Hi all

I just replaced the motherboard on our HP zd8000 (pentium 4 3.0 ghz, 2 GB ram, Win XP) with an opportunity tested but good MB and need help with the following.

    (1) I cannot play DVD movies as the error 'no dvd decoder' present which was not a problem before now?  Where can I get a free decoder that works as Windows displays only paid versions?  We have the drive to dvd with lightscribe. SOLVED! CNET has DECODER.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (2) internal temperature, according to SpeedFan, revolves around 140 degrees with just surfing the Internet.  Is this a normal temperature because I have only one of the three fans running on the laptop?  Is in any case to all the three fans running to be sure there is no problem?  I'm positive, I plugged everything but still once a single fan seems to work?

    (3) I discovered that some of the pins were damaged in the card reader.  I can get the seller to give me a discount, not intend to tear apart just for it, but is there the concerns of short or otherwise?

    (4) our battery arrested charge years ago, these were known as such, but I bought a new one last year and hope that the replacement MB would load it again.  No luck though.  Can I do, update of BIOS etc, in order to make the battery charge?

    (5) whatever it is you people can think for me to test to make sure the new motherboard is working correctly?

    Thank you, Ralph

PS, It's a replacement card correct according to the serial numbers of MB.  Everything seems to work properly except mentioned.  Our graphics came out on the original MB.

Some of the sons had grown out of the harness that connected the two other fans.  I double checked and replaced these so now the laptop works quite a bit cooler.

    EVERYTHING IS GOOD TO GO!

  • All new XPS 8900, card mother USB3.0 connector question

    Hello

I just got my 8900 XPS nine this week, as a replacement for my Inspiron 530 s who died after 8 years of good service (my previous post on the Dell Community is older than 8 years...). This is the high-end with GTX 960, SSD, 2 TB HDD, 256 MB video card configuration.

I have a little problem with it and would appreciate an outside opinion on this:

Yesterday, I opened my 8900 XPS in order to add an additional HARD drive. In the process, I noticed that the hypothesis of fan 960 GTX is pressing firmly against the front, USB 3.0 cable, to the point of the plug is slightly flexed. In addition, the cable is slightly clogging the fan 960 GTX. I was a little displeased with this, as it's clearly inappropriate cable routing. Apart from that, all other cables inside the XPS 8900 are very neatly.

I removed the GTX 960 (this is necessary in order to remove the HDD cage) and then realized that the façade, USB 3.0 cable is too short, and the plug is very wobbly. I tried to pull gently, to detach the cable and find a better way to move. It seems that the USB 3.0 (the light blue plastic part) is not attached to the motherboard! I noticed the fixing clip, and while pressing it, I lifted the CAP slightly (about 3mm). But decision-making would not unclip and come out as well as the plug. Fear of bending a PIN, I pushed the plug in and gave up trying to detach. Then, I installed the HARD drive and put everything back in, as it was.

The computer works well. The two façades USB work normally (tested with an external drive USB 2.0). Given that I've already migrated all my data and started to use the computer, I would really dislike having to send it back just for that, unless the issue is a threat of failure in the future...

    My questions are the following:

-Is it normal that the plastic of the motherboard USB 3.0 connector tip is just pressed (not glued to the motherboard)? If this is not the case, do you think that it has to be fixed or if I can live with it?

-Do you think I can replace the cable USB-Panel, with a more long (is it standard?) and thus solve the problem for good?

    Thank you!!!

On mine I disconnected the end of the motherboard and routed it bends 90 degrees and below the map.  To do this I had to unplug it and leave that he unplugged while I routed the flat cable.  Then insert a GTX960 and screwed the card holder in.  With the cable stuck the card in the back, I reconnected it into the motherboard.   I agree that this cable is too short.  Unfortunately, the motherboard connector is microscopic pines which are easily bent or broken.  While I did once, I wouldn't do it again.  This isn't a standard 20-pin connector of the Panel before USB3.

Worse still, the photos DO NOT see THE real manual 8900 service within a 8900.

The black usb cable into the blue micro 20 connector pins on the motherboard is not displayed in all images.

  • Model of card mother T7500 and configuration of the controller RAID LSI 1068e

Hi, I just bought a T7500 workstation I would get around mid-December. Because of current prices for HARD drive storage, I decided to go with the 500 GB basic disk up to HEALING of Thailand. Thus, I am limited to basic integrated RAID controller. Because I am not familiar with the RAID configuration, etc. I wanted to read more before I dive in. The starting point would definitely find what was right for the Precision T7500 motherboard. Surprise! I can't find information anywhere. Even Dell people (3 different sales and support representatives) have not managed to tell me it's the Intel 5520 chipset (it looks that they believe that it is the motherboard model...). Well, I'm stuck. I would appreciate if someone could provide me with the model of motherboard and Special Edition, all information on the capabilities of the controller integrated RAID (LSI 1068e) would help me determine what drives should I plan to buy. In addition, one thing that is not clear to me what I inferred from the configuration on the website Wizard is the issue around disks > 2 TB. Of after I read it, I was not able to determine whether the problem was related to the simple readers > 2 TB or if it was related to the management of a storage space > 2 TB (which could be composed of several readers less than 2 TB). What I have in mind (remember that I do not have the machine right now) is to 4 X 1 TB drives in a RAID 0 + 1 (which I'm not sure that the integrated controller supports) configuration that will result in the storage of 2 GB mirrored. The operating system is Win 7 64 bit. Thanks in advance for any info that will help me to prepare my setup (buy hard drives, if I can find cheap ones) and find information on the configuration of the RAID. MrBricole

I'm sure the T7500 uses an Intel Server Board (since this chipset is located on the Intel site under its motherboards, Dell is essentially correct, even if they didn't know why), but it doesn't matter in the context of your question, because the '' integrated '' RAID controller is not actually on the Board.  It's a card (called "integrated" only because it has a slot on this machine).  Because the functionality of the RAID controller is not on the Board of Directors, Board info will not help you.  Everything you need to know about your Council and the entire system, you can get the T7500 manual.  SAS 6/iR (LSI 1068e) RAID controller information can be found here:

NOTE from the ADMIN: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell >

The SAS 6/iR will not support more than 2 TB of drives, or it will support more than 2 TB of virtual disks.

It will also only supports RAID 0 OR RAID 1 OR both, but not together (not levels no RAID nested as RAID 10 or 0 + 1).

So with four 1 TB drives, you can easily do two RAID 1 (called integrated mirror in the controller BIOS CTRL-C)... or you can do two 2-drive RAID 0 (Stripe called integrated in the controller BIOS CTRL-C)... or you can run mode non-RAID, with four individual discs in the operating system.  With this controller, those are your only options with four 1 TB drives.

If you want / need more features RAID (nested RAID, 2 TB of the VFD above, on board levels, cache, etc.), you must upgrade to the PERC 6 / i.

Do not buy office records class... Make sure you get enterprise-class drives.  If you decide at some point to go with PERC, not only enterprise class disks will be fundamentally necessary, but certified records would be strongly recommended for stability and performance.

  • "The Archivelog file size" and the question of 'db_recovery_file_dest_size.

    Hello

According to the literature, DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST specifies the default location for the flash recovery area. The flash recovery area contains copies of files of control current multiplexes and remake online of newspapers, but also archived redo logs

And DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE specifies (in bytes) of the strict limit on the total space to be used by the target database recovery files created in the flash recovery area.

Here's the info from my database (10 gr 2, RHEL 64-bit database is in archivelog mode):

    Log_archive_dest_1 = ' LOCATION = + recovery /'

    db_recovery_file_dest = '+ RECOVERY. "

    db_recovery_file_dest_size = 550 GB

    -Size of archivelog files:

    Select

    SUM(BLOCKS * BLOCK_SIZE)/1024/1024/1024 SIZE_GB

    Of

    V$ ARCHIVED_LOG

    -> 672,39 GB

If I have question used flash recovery area space, it is to be:

    SELECT name

    , ceil (space_limit / 1024 / 1024) SIZE_M

    , ceil (space_used / 1024 / 1024) USED_M

    , decode (nvl (space_used, 0),)

    0, 0

    ceil ((space_used / space_limit) * 100)) PCT_USED

    V $ recovery_file_dest

    ORDER BY name

    NAME SIZE_M USED_M PCT_USED

    + 563200 8 1 RECOVERY

I'm confused where are the archivelogs saved if not + recovery?

Total current total size of ARCHIVELOG files if "672.39" but especially the request saying that only 8% of the db_recovery_file_dest was used. So obviously they are either not in + RECOVERY or they are not accounted for.

I chedk on ASM using asmcmd:

    ASMCMD > cd ARCHIVELOG

    ASMCMD > ls

    2013_09_05 /.

    2013_09_06 /.

    2013_09_09 /.

    2013_09_10 /.

    2013_09_11 /.

    2013_09_12 /.

    ASMCMD >

Whereas the query on the view V$ ARCHIVED_LOG shows me the file names for the month of August as well.

    I don't know that I am misunderstanding/missing something. I'm lost :-(

    Please advise!

    Thanks in advance!

You wrong understand archiving at the area of fast recovery works. You have done the fast recovery area to a certain destination and also set up check-in to the same physical location: but Oracle doesn't know that they are in the same place. You must explicitly set:

ALTER system set log_archive_dest_1 is 'location = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST';.

and then Oracle will understand and follow the space in the paper archive used against the db_recovery_file_dest_size.

  • First time with a card mother OEM and try to find the drivers

    Hello world

This is a new game for me, the world of OEM motherboards. I just realized that a certain type of motherboard a motherboard manufacturer can have all sorts of variations when performed as an OEM Board for the likes of HP.

I have just acquired an old Pentium 4 motherboard. Now, before your eyes start to roll, I am is not a cheapskate here and in fact need this type of motherboard, not a sign of bang dual core or quad wiz who actually do not work with my software. It is so why I am persevering with a print like this.

    It's an Asus P4SD - Rev 1.06

    3 pci slots

    1 agp slot

    4 usb ports

    1 firewire port

    1 ethernet port

    1 PS/2 mouse port

    1 PS/2 keyboard port

4 memory DIMM slots (some computers HP with this Council have only 2 DIMM slots)

Built No. taken in vga (seems some versions of this Council have built in graphics)

So not knowing what HP computer that came out I cannot locate the correct drivers. As far as Asus goes, this card is not listed on there pilot site.

Y at - there no way to know what HP PC came this motherboard?

    See you soon,.

    Keith.

On the issue of SATA - if the installation disc that serves as an integrated SATA drivers then then this might explain it.  WinXP on its own did not include them, but some have them slipstreamed into the installation. Either that or the BIOS was set to emulate the IDE interface for easy installation.

  • How to replace the card mother, processor and memory in my office without having to buy a new code for Win 7 Utimimate detail?

In January, my original motherboard died and I replaced the jury only with other printed device using all my old components. When I started to the top of the first time I was warned that my version of Win7 is not valid. (I had used since I bought it in August 2010 without any problem) So I bought a new Windows 7 Ultimate full retail Microsoft online to get going again. Now, 3 months later, it's blue, screening and stop randomly. The Board of Directors, the memory and cpu are all about 7 years and I want to update the new and updated components. How can I do this without having to spend another $207 for a new copy of Windows 7?

When you transfer the license to a new motherboard, reactivate just by phone, as you said that it is a full commercial license:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

  • Card mother ASUS and VMWare ESX 4.0

Could someone install ESX 4 on an ASUS P5E WS Professional motherboard model? I tried to get a clean work install but no luck. I use RAID to recognize 2 partitions. I can't even ends the installation when it CMTF on me. I read someone turn off ACPI but you disable all interrupts the CPU and he's going nowhere in it. The version of BIOS ASUS is 1101; Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @ 2.66 Ghz, 4 GB DDR-2 800 Mhz.

If you have been able to get a clean install, please let me know.

    Thank you

I hold at this stage to ESXi 4.1... Since there will be another version of ESX go ahead (4.1 is the final version) you might as well get on ESXi now. In addition, there is no ESX, ESXi upgrade path. So if you want to install the next version (assuming that you can get the equipment to work for the next version), you will need to perform a complete reinstallation.

You could also install ESXi 4.1 on a USB flash drive to avoid the hard drive problems (where lives of ESXi) on your installation. I managed to install ESXi 4.1 on 4 GB SanDisk Cruzer flash drive (model SDZC6-4096). I installed ESXi 4.0 on a 2GB SanDisk Cruzer Titanium (SDCZ3-2048) flash drive. Anything can be corrupted on your MacBook Pro, but from what you say, it seems that the cable drive/SSD/flash memory/SATA hard was seriously damaged. Him "question mark" means that your Mac is unable to find any bootable device, meaning that it does not yet detect your OS X drive.

You should make a backup of your files (if you can still do it) and take the Mac at the Apple Store or dealer to get a diagnosis. There may be several damaged parts.

I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards
