Laptop crashes

Sometimes after I did a windows or hp update. It will require a reboot. When I do this, the system will reboot, but I don't see anything. Then the screen is black. The drive activity light is sometimes on sometimes doesn't work. All of this happens again. I sometimes disconnected the battery, then reinserted it and turned on. Any ideas before considering "The Geek Squad"?

Hello

Tap here to f10 as soon as you start Notepad to open the menu of the bios.  Under Advanced Options or diagnosis tab, you will find the possibility to run tests on the memory and the hard drive.  Launch the two tests and post back with the results.

Kind regards

  • Laptop crashing randomly while game

    Hey,.

I usually use my for cell phone games on. I played a lot of games and when Im done with the game I uninstall it. I tend to play online MMO and I was playin sleep since March and started playin World Of Warcraft has recently also. However, lately, the laptop crashes randomly when reading and my games and then sometimes struggled to turn back on.

I was wondering if it was an internal error with the fan, because it's very hot, or if I need to update the graphics drivers so it doesn't crash. I don't really know how to solve the problem and I can play games for 5 minutes before the laptop crashed and turns off.

    Hi Jack

It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have. I presume that it is typical of overheating problem. When the temperature of the material is essential the laptop turns off simply without any warning. The same thing happens to you?

Looks like you used the Win10 GoBack feature infamous attempt to restore your PC updated Win10 to a previous version of the OS, right?

If this is the case then, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, unfortunately, the Win10 GoBack function is known to be unreliable, and when it fails it can leave machinery in a State corrupted - that seems to be what has happened to yours.

The Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt the partition of recovery that are stored by the OEM that built the original machine.  It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work.

What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Note that if HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

  • Recovery of Windows 8 files/folders of your laptop crashed

    Hello

I have a problem with Windows 8 files and folders that have been backed up on a computer Windows 8 crashed. The files have been saved on the hard drive of the laptop and backup files user connection drive hard laptop computer and an external hard drive and copy the folder of the user. The laptop crashed in a domain (Windows server 2008).

Now the users folder shows that there are thousands of folders and files, even the size of the required user record certainly shows that there are a lot of files, but I can't access those files.

I have recovered files and folders before (XP and Windows 7) while taking ownership of files supported, but is seems not work for Windows 8 folders and files.

    * NB Im trying to open the files on a Windows 8.1 for laptop.

    Help, please

    Hello

I found that it is sometimes necessary to remove some of the other things in the list...

As an installer of confidence or system, as an example... Sometimes, the OWNER needs to be on the top of the list...

I also just realized that you talk about "issues"... Try to make the entire disk...

Right click on it within the COMPUTER\ThisPC seems to work the best... Try this first...
