laptop has not updated monthly

Hello

My g6 notebook Pavillion has not updated recently. I do not disable the automatic updates. I'm not familiar with windows 8, and I can't find where I can check the updates.

I also don't seem to be able to run Defenter Windows offline. I searched for it and tried to open it, but the screen indicates that the application has been disabled and I can't get the app to turn it back on.

I'm trying to understand why my computer keeps giving the error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Help, please

GoldeenEyes,

Windows Defender in offline mode is a software from Microsoft, here's the FAQ: Windows Defender in offline mode: frequently asked questions

The DPC error may be due to the way in which your system reacts to the video drivers.  Update.  If you're a gamer and this error is in response to the game, you may have to resort to using the vendor drivers for best performance.  IMPORTANT: Do not update software unless you have ALL your backups up-to-date first taken!  Learn about backups if you want more information!

The good news about Windows 8: easy search!  Go to the home screen and tap anywhere on the screen: "updates" (without the quotes).

You will see both the HP updates AND programs of Windows updates appear on the screen.  You can start a program, set the PARAMETERS and start an update, or you can right-click on each program and open the 'place' of the current program.  You can then make a shortcut to the program and put this shortcut on your desktop.

I hope that helps!

Click on the star of congratulations !

It's a big 'thanks' for Experts who offer to help!

  • Re: Office creative cloud only has not updated - error 1002

Hello, Bani, I was able to install the 3.7.0.272 worm. Thanks for your link. Today I tried to install PS cc and had a "fatal error during download exit code: 123 ' seemingly irelated to run an 'old CC desktop application '. I checked and found that a new 3.7.5.291 to has been released.

What's strange is that I have not been warned by this version of the CC (the one I downlkoad through your direct link) on this update and it seems now that there is no direct link. Is it possible that I can upgrade to the latest CC app and try to download the new PS cc2015.5? Thanks for any help.

(Embarks on a new discussion of: Re: Office creative cloud has not updated - error 1002 )

Hi Bani and Jimmingim, it seems that there is no direct link available to install the latest version. I asked the support from Adobe and they managed to completely uninstall CC by allowing the expert get into my mac OS. He cleaned out a lot of records, has installed a new version of HDcore and a few other things I just watch happening, eentually installation CC from Adobe and voila I had the latest version. Now everything works fine, I hope that in the future EA. I recommend to ask support by adobe.

    hope that it hlps.

Using Windows Vista 32 or 64-bit?

How to determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or the 64 bit version of the Windows operating system.

I would say you can download service pack 1 manually, install on your computer and check the status of the issue.

If you are using Windows Vista 32-bit, you can download service pack 1 from the following link.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 five language standalone (KB936330).

If you are using Windows Vista 64-bit, you can download service pack 1 from the following link.

  • My computer hp laptop will not update

I have a hp DV7 w/win7 got from QVC, I can't update windows I get an error #8007371B code. Microsoft tells me that I have to reinstall win 7, I do not have soft wear with my laptop. I contacted QVC, they told me they have no disc for win 7 and I have to buy a copy of win 7 or the update to win 8. Also my iTunes will not update. No idea what I should do now. Thanks for your help

We need recovery software in a dedicated hard disk partition. Nobody gets recovery disc more. When the laptop is new it told you to burn recovery discs, but you can probably still recover to factory specifications using the F11 recovery method. Press F11 you power up and see if you get in a recovery environment.

  • Windows Update has not updated in years apparently on my Windows Vista computer.

Original title: will not be updated to windows vista on computer laptop gateway

    Howdy:

We have a laptop Gateway with Windows Vista (64-bit).  Windows update is not updated in years apparently.  When I try to run the update in the start menu, all I get is the Update window but it is empty.  I ran two different versions of difficulty he and did not resolve the problem of update.  A whole, but the update fixes and tells me which does not.  The other (which is "fix and some number") says that I don't have the privileges of the program.

My next option is to use a disc to try to solve this problem, but it seems that there should be something else to do.

    Any suggestions?

  • My laptop has been updated from win 7 to win 10 a few months ago.

I had to replace the hard drive by another which also had win 7 on it. Can I still switch to win 10? I only changed the drive hard nothing else.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Since you have replaced your hard drive, you will be not able to custom install or clean install Windows 10 on it without a product key.

If you have a version installed and activated Windows 7 on your PC, you may have installed all the updates and upgrade to Windows 10 using the free update.

    For more information, see:
