Laptop turns off while doing a restore on an installation of Vista OS; Displays a command prompt

Okay, so to explain, I tried to fix my laptop all day, and I am REALLY frustrated right now. First of all, it is even dvd player does not work for some reason, so I but hey, maybe I can get a (an i'm going to probably won't even get help for saying this, but I'll do everything to set) iso. I do it, it's the installation goes well and everything, and then it stops. I turn the thing back roller, then it stops again! So I turn on again thinking that it should be fine, I'll just restore it once more and go just doing nothing until tomorrow, because I got all these windows problems 7 is already leading me because of this crappy bug that screws with the battery. When I try to roll back, it is therefore display a command prompt with X:$Windows.~BT\Windows\system32 window. I'm honestly about to _ just cry because I spent all day trying to solve something and instead my laptop goes right down. I seriously No. CLUE on what to do. Help, please.

Yes, I know that I used an iso, what can do you will not help me, but please I need to know what to do.

Hello

The line of the command prompt indicates that it is thanks in part to a facility, likely from the .iso file you downloaded. Partly the problem from that that the installer has no way to mount a file .iso on the hard disk without loading an operating system that includes support for the execution of a (usually a virtual CD drive) .iso image. Thus, installation does not end because it cannot locate the drive that contains the necessary information. Now, you're stuck with a partial installation and no way to move back and forward.

At this point, there are a regular install disc and a scanner to work. With laptops, it is best to use disks to restore / installation provided by the manufacturer the nature of one of their facilities. If your camera allows, you may be able to get away with a removable external disk to complete the installation, but you need to replace the internal drive not working in both cases.

The first thing I would check is your laptop fan. You hear it works while the laptop is on, or it is disabled? If the fan fails, the laptop overheats. To protect themselves, the laptop turns off. It could also be that you have little dust blocks the air fan. The best option is to have someone to disassemble the laptop and clean, but some people have managed with the help of compressed air. The problem with this is that it blows back into the laptop. Perhaps vacuum?

A farily common problem with most laptops is the integrated graphics processors. Over time, the GPU becomes disattached from the motherboard. If this happens, the laptop will be closed or does not start at all. Generally however, there isn't a lot of attention if that is the case, the computer stops working one day.

In order to drain the computer, disconnect all external devices from the computer and also to take the charger and battery, then press on and press and hold power for 30 seconds and release.

    original title: windows Defender

These days have a lot of problems with my laptop.  Problems with starting.  I need to access windows defender to modify startup programs.  It is said that Defender is turned off, but does not give me access to it 2 turn it on.  In addition, different problems with different users and accounts by the office put in place, it looks like all my users are running different versions of windows, so I don't know where to start with all the problems.  Security sounded like a good place 2 start, so I guess I'll start by Defender problems.  (I have recently downloaded the free security essentials, safety signs so all green lights).

  • HP 15-r011na: laptop turns off when it is attached cable ca

Hi, I recently picked up the upgrade of Windows 10 and since then have had problems with the laptop switching power, do not know if it is related to Windows 10 but seems a coincidence!  When I got close I use the power on the screen completely closes the button and the laptop.  When I turn it on it's ok, if I have the AC cable disconnected (i.e. using battery power) but if I have the AC cable the screen goes off, but then goes black and seems to have turned off again, and I have to press the power button to put on the.  Also, if I connect the cable so that the laptop is on it goes black immediately, and if I delete it the screen comes alive again.  Can someone tell me what's going on that I have no idea about these things, and it makes me absolutely crazy!  I would really appreciate some advice please.

    Hi @Greenjack67 ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop 15-r011na HP TouchSmart and the laptop turns off when it is attached cable ca. Here is a link to test and calibrate your battery for Windows 10.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Plug the power supply directly into a different wall outlet. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • My laptop turns off suddenly in use

My laptop turns off without any warning every 20-30 minutes

and he died 6-7 times a day.
    I use Windows Vista Home
My laptop was plugged into the electric current (I remove the top battery)
I tried to boot with safe mode and still, it turns off.

Can someone give me advice to understand the problem
I was very grateful to hear it.
    Thank you

A common cause of this kind of behavior is overheating. One thing to try:

Unplug the unit and remove the battery. Use a vacuum and target different cooling openings. Replace the battery and reconnect it. Check the operation.

Turn is very likely a hardware problem and in your case, most likely an overheatng issue. Repaired by the manufacturer or a local service company that specializes in laptop computers (avoid the Geek Squad and any other department store; they are all the terrible).

Another thing is this may be WHAT BIOS is configured to shut down the PC at the same time. Which battery is low or adapter will be disconnected, and then PC also turns off. Some malware can also turn off PC, in order to check this run full scan with your anti-virus and see if something might detect.

the screen of my laptop turns off when windows start. What is the cause and how can I fix it. Thank you

You have the screen image out to another monitor (one that is not plugged in fact). How you pass to the internal laptop display varies, but most cell phone companies make a combination of keys, such as Fn + F6 or something.  Looking for a symbol that looks like a monitor.  It is usually color coded and requires activation of a Fn key.
