    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

I think that your computer is in hibernation or standby is (or tries), but you see it as screen go off.

He must manage the bass and critical low levels of power - information management:

  • HP 15-r011na: laptop turns off when it is attached cable ca

Hi, I recently picked up the upgrade of Windows 10 and since then have had problems with the laptop switching power, do not know if it is related to Windows 10 but seems a coincidence!  When I got close I use the power on the screen completely closes the button and the laptop.  When I turn it on it's ok, if I have the AC cable disconnected (i.e. using battery power) but if I have the AC cable the screen goes off, but then goes black and seems to have turned off again, and I have to press the power button to put on the.  Also, if I connect the cable so that the laptop is on it goes black immediately, and if I delete it the screen comes alive again.  Can someone tell me what's going on that I have no idea about these things, and it makes me absolutely crazy!  I would really appreciate some advice please.

    Hi @Greenjack67 ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop 15-r011na HP TouchSmart and the laptop turns off when it is attached cable ca. Here is a link to test and calibrate your battery for Windows 10.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Plug the power supply directly into a different wall outlet. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Original title: clear the display

Click Start or press the Windows key and type power can locate the power to change recording settings in the section of the Control Panel from the list above and click on it. At the opening of the Power Options pane, click choose when turn off display available on the left side.

Choose a new setting for brightness in the drop down menu on the battery . Look at all the other parameters that you feel you want to modify, and then click save changes in the lower right to apply the options you have selected energy saving.

You can now close the Power Options pane when you return.

the screen of my laptop turns off when windows start. What is the cause and how can I fix it. Thank you

You have the screen image out to another monitor (one that is not plugged in fact). How you pass to the internal laptop display varies, but most cell phone companies make a combination of keys, such as Fn + F6 or something.  Looking for a symbol that looks like a monitor.  It is usually color coded and requires activation of a Fn key.

Well good for Photoshop to fix this, I chatted with technical support and they have a new version of 13.1 to. I've updated, then went in the preferences and found the preference of the user interface, select 200%. Who did the trick.

  • Qosmio X 70-A-10N turn off when I play the games

    Hello

I bought 2 months ago Qosmio x 70-a-10n with geforce GTX 770 M. I read everywhere that it is a computer game. Months ago, I installed F1 2013 and start it. After 20 minutes of play my PC just turn off and never again. (like this guy here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZmeMyu5Cto).

Can I send my PC to the service and then they change my motherboard (maybe). 1 week ago, I took the service and see that the computer still has a problem with the temperature. Early 2013 F1 for 5 minutes only and see with Speedfan, that the temperature of the GPU goes to 60 years and I stop the game, because that think the pc is overheating so it shuts off again.

If I want a pc for movies or on the internet, I'll buy another pc for less money. :((((
I am a little angry because I like to play games, but does not have this problem. What can I do to fix this? :((((((((

    Excuse me for my English!
    Thank you

Computers laptops Qosmio are offered by Toshiba for years. I don't know how long, but perhaps a dozen years and this laptop has been on the first day, designed for multimedia and games so that every Qosmio laptop has a powerful graphics card.
I don't really know what the problem with your machine and why this happens, but try it with different games and close down unnecessary applications before starting the game.

Use laptop on the desk and don't forget the laptop can be cooled properly. Temperature of 60 degrees is certainly not the critical temperature so you don't have to interrupt your game.

One question: are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?

  • Satellite A300-1GC - turn off when I play games

    Hello

I try to explain my problem (I'll try because English isn't my motherlanguage wull so hards to ensure that you understand me Hi!).
Usually I use my Satellite A300-1GC also for two or three days (I watch divx on tv and other small applications, but nothing special) and never happened to me that yesterday was happing!

I installed a game (Jekyll & Hyde) and I played it with the pc cable hook up to electricity. After a while (I think only an hour) the computer turns off! After that was not possibel to turn it on nothing! No light was on the same battery icon nothing complitely dead! After about 10 minutes instead of the icons light was on and so I was able to restart the computer. Windows XP doesn't give me any error on the "blackout" reports the system. I restarted the game and play with him for about two hours without any problem! If you have something (hihihihi) understud my question is:

Whay you do that I can do so that this accident will not happen more? Is there some test or newspaper or something similar I can read to see if there is any hardware/software problems? May need a BIOS update? I mean, is there anyone who have the same laptop and have similar experience and sort it out with an update?
On short time I'm planing to install windows 7 (two DVDs I received from Toshiba) but first I must address this problem.

I thank the of in advance for help
    Helen

PS: Once again at 11:36 the laptop shut down whenm I played :(

    Hi Helen_1,

Usually, if the laptop shuts down during a game, it s caused by a higher internal temperature to protect the equipment.

I put t know how long you already have Satellite A300, but usually the laptop must be cleaned every 3 months using a jet of compressed air. You will find here in the forum how an article on this subject:
[How to clean a Toshiba laptop cooling system? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40]

Also make sure that this new Toshiba Web site display driver is installed.

  • Acer Aspire E5-511 thought, it was too good to last. Laptop turns off when loading?

The battery fell to 65% so I plugged in and turned on the charger, the screen went white and laptop off.   Laptop and charger switch off will be on again.   Catch 22 situation.   I'm starting to regret buying an other Acer Aspire.  Would be grateful for the help?

Machine took to curries, Ollie fixed in a few minutes, the fault due to the update of Windows 10 and pilot - fixed by adjusting the brightness.

  • My Windows 7 laptop turns off when I disconnect, even at 99% remaining.

If I unplug my computer, laptop or if I go back to hibernation, I get a battery warning and a minute later, the computer goes to sleep. The thing is, the sensors and the battery are very good... before you close the power in the taskbar icon shows "99% (3 hours) remaining" and once I got back on it lasts for hours, as it should. I went through all food and settings options I can find, but no chance to resolve this. What is going on?

In addition, this might be a clue... Windows Aero is disabled when I turn on the computer, and the typical ways to reactivate, do nothing. They show it already on, and at the back of switching is futile.

The problem might be in the way that Windows sets low and critical battery levels.

I had the same problem and I checked the settings of 'Battery' under power options > * plan name * > advanced settings >.
I put my low rate and critical for 20% and 5% respectively.
    Hope that helps!
  • my laptop turns off when I turn it on, and when I try to repair or start I get a message saying that I have an error in my software

I tried to re start and take out the hard drive, but nothing works I've only had this laptop for a few weeks

    Hello

    ·          Were there any changes made to your computer before this problem?

Step 1: Check to see if the problem exists in Mode without failure.

See the article below for Safe Mode steps in Windows XP.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in Mode without failure, then try to clean boot.  You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Hello!!!

I also had the same problem with my Dell laptop with windows 8.1 running. Made all things possible to correct the error, but nothing works for me. Finally I discovered that the drivers installed for my adapter DVI to USB causes the problem. When I uninstalled the drivers, my computer began to behave normally. Try this one, if you have recently installed some drivers like that...
