  Follow the instructions below.

  To activate the fax confirmation
  1. press the arrow to the right and select Setup.
  2. press on the configuration of the fax, click Fax reports.
  3. press on the Confirmation Fax.
  4. tap to select one of the following options.

  • Discount - does not print a fax confirmation report when you send and receive faxes successfully. It is the default setting.
  • (Fax Send): Prints a report of fax confirmation for each fax you send.
  • On (fax) - prints a report fax confirmation for each fax that you receive.
  • On (Send and Receive) - prints a report fax confirmation for each fax that you send and receive.

  Prints a report of fax confirmation for each fax that you send and receive.
  To include an image of the fax on the report
  1. press Setup.
  2. press on the fax, click Fax of Confirmation reports.

  I don't know why I can't print on tray 2, any ideas?

  When I try to print the 2 tray, printing will of tray 1. If the tray can be closed or paperless printer gives me an error and asks to insert a paper on tray 1 to print it.

  Probably because the print request is to specify a PaperSize ( A4 or letter) and/or a PaperType ( regular or letterhead) that doesn't correspond not to the size and the type who thinks the printer is in tray 2 (size is generally detected automatically via sensors attached to slides in the status bar, the type must be defined via the front panel menu system (or the equivalent of Embedded Web server ).

  Or maybe the request specifies "manual feed"?

  Here are the instructions for the M276.

  Touch Menu Fax icon on the printer screen, select Fax, Fax of Confirmation reports. You can change the settings to receive a fax confirmation after every fax sent.

  I understand that you have a 8600 Officejet you wish to turn on the image for the fax confirmation report. I'd be happy to help you with this.

  I must say though, it was frisk me throughout this menu from the printer! What you need to do is:

  1. Press (right arrow) and then press Setup.

  2. press on the Fax Menu (can say Fax Setup)
  3. press on the reports of fax and then touch Fax of Confirmation.
  4. tap on (fax) or we (send and receive).
  5. press on the Fax Confirmation with the image.

  Then when you get a Fax Confirmation it should the page it should have this small image of the first page.

  We have an Officejet Pro 8600 Premium who send pictures ith Fax Confirmations on is turned on. And seems to work when physically fax of the charger of the printer very well. But when sending faxes via the network by software HP print no confirmation. And we really need to have each sent fax print a confirmation no matter how it is sent to the printer. Is a known, issue or how we have implemented it must do what we want and the fact that it is not is expected outside the behavior? Any info would be really useful because we really need to have confirmation of our faxes.

  A fax printed confirmation email (whether with or without a picture of the first page) is available for a dax sent from the device itself, such is not available when sending a fax from the Fax HP software.

  For the fax software, you can only view the software Fax log include a list and the status of the last 30 fax jobs.

  To get a printed report, you will need to send the fax from the device itself. This is the way all work HP printer by its design, it is not a software problem.

• LasetJet M4555 MFP: 221 ftp port and how to disable

  We have a HP M4555 MFP printer that accepts ftp connections on port 221 anoymous and I can't figure out how to make it stop.  This raises red flags with our network security scanner, so would like to know how I can disable this feature.  We have all other than 9100 off printing protocols (including FTP printing), but this one printer always listens to the port 221.  Interestingly, we have 2 printers of the same model and only 1 done this and, as far as I know, they have identical configs.  However, whoever's doing this has rev firmware 3.7, and the one that is not is still the 3.5.1 then perhaps that it is a feature added to the new rev?

  I can't say how much of a security problem is real, but it makes me very nervous that I can get in places like/Customer/Jobs/StoredJobs without any authentication at all.

  Anyone have any ideas?

  You can disable the port 221 using IPsec/firewall option tab 'network '.

  Steps to follow:

  Access IPsec/firewall. Set the default rule to "allow". Start creating a rule. Choose all the "IP address" for the policy address. In the event of service strategy page, choose Create a new service. Then create a personalized service.

  For personal service, give a name like "port221". Select TCP. Choose ' printer/multifunction Service '. Choose a specific local port. Enter the port 221. Choose "Any" to remote port.   Setup menu > Fax > settings > Advanced Setiings > Fax Confirmation > check the required option.

  You did not mention this program what happens to, but even in the case of the office, there are standard methods to adjust the zoom level with the keyboard.

  Press Ctrl and more (e, g +) together to increase the zoom level and Ctrl and less (for example) - all to reduce. The keys more or less can be those at the top of the classic (for example to the left of the back) keys or the numeric keypad if you have one.
  Alternatively, you can hold down the CtrI down while turning the scroll of the mouse wheel to adjust the zoom level of the window that the cursor of the mouse is on.
  Many programs have a slider or box to adjust the zoom level. It is usually at the bottom right of the application window. Similar zoom adjustments may be able to make the menu display, Zoom the program.

  The install button is the key at the top of your front panel of the printer ().

  In the menu Setup go to reports using the right arrow and click OK to confirm.

  Select Fax of Confirmation, click OK and set its value by selecting on (Fax Send), and then click OK to confirm.

  Since you have already deployed EM, by changing the deployment type for med to large post install can be done by running a SQL in the database of rep that will set all the required parameters rep a large type of deployment. You can also do it manually, but I suggest this sql running.

  Download the large DB model type of deployment for the necessary platform for 12.1.0.3 EM - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/enterprise-manager/downloads/db-templates-1959276.html

  Unzip it and you will see this sql: set_repo_param_11.2.0.3_Database_SQL_for_EM12c_Large_deployment.sql

  Pls run it on your repository database and you are good to go now.
