Laser Jet 8000N: 8000N Tray 1

Hi all

Problem: what we print on A3 from tray 3 paper, printer always says "tray 1 load regular A3! So frustrating! Although all driver settings software set to A3 paper printer must use from tray 3, continually ask printer load Tray 1 with A3 paper...

Any help would be valuable.

>> ... As soon as we changed the Tray 1 plain to the 'labels', finally printer using A3 from tray 3 paper size...

Maybe it's because:

  • The initial setting for the type of paper in the Tray 1 was clear, and paper size was probably everything (Tray 1 is not auto-détecte size as do the cassette trays).
  • The printer is trying to match the paper size and paper type attributes specified in the print job to a plateau (or trays) that can satisfy this combination.
  • As noted in @SHThompson , the behaviour of printer tray can been configured with 'use tray 1 first' (or words to that effect), which was not perhaps not an option on the old 5if LJ.

  • HP Color Laser Jet CP1215: print - guard 'book light' flashing - printer stops charging of paper does not alter

    Hello!

For about a week, I have the following problem with my HP Color Laser Jet CP1215: after 2-3 pages of printing, the device stops abruptly in the middle of a job and the light number 5 (paper) continues at the flashing light.

However, the bin is full with paper.

Ignitions and extinctions help only for another 2-3 pages, then printing will stop again as described above.

Is there maybe a photoelectric cell that needs to be cleaned or a mechanical part that gives the status of bad paper from the paper tray to the printer?

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Best wishes

    Hi @wigl,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your HP Color LaserJet CP1215 printer stops printing when the print jobs. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I can see how frustrating it would be. To determine the cause, we need to use more than one document. Redundant that some steps may seem, I would execute all.

Please, try the steps in this these guides:

If the problem persists, try a hard reset:

    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

    Hi @Sinclair1,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you're wondering when using the ADF to copy or scan, if pages must be upwards or downwards. Pages should be facing up when you use the ADF (ADF).

  • HP Color Laser Jet CM6040: scratches when printing CM6040

I have a very annoying problem with my print quality which causes the color to the burrs. Whenever I have print something on my laser jet CM6040 color it leaves a strip of color at the top of the page that spots and affects all pages.
Recently it was also printing this band at the bottom of the page that you can see in the picture as an attachment. It tends to be worse in the morning when I get to work and first print something and tends to be bad after sitting idle for a while. We have installed a new fusion kit fairly recently so would avoid buying another so soon.

Can anyone help or everyone knows that before?

Think about how the image is made on paper. The flow of paper to the top of the side of the printer tray and a secondary transfer roller moves the image of the belt (just the little strip of paper feeds more) in order to fill the document with the complete picture. Continutes to travel at the front of the belt is a wiper brush that removes the residual toner was not transferred to the book and the back side of the belt if another page is printing is the image placed on it as the belt moves on the toner drums. If the belt has a defect in the Wiper Blade, excess toner that is a mixture of all colours (usually purple in color) out of the end of the belt like a streak. That's what I think happens for you. Now one thing you can try who works occasionally for me is to spend about 1 inch belt in the opposite direction, which will expose a lot of toner on the belt. Clean the toner and then advance the belt (always use the edges of the belt to move) and then look below where the belt comes out from the front and see if the line is still present or that it is a party. If passed, then the blade may have corrected itself. If the lines are still present, the blade is bad and the belt needs to be replaced. The cost of the belt is high. You could contact a company like metrofuser.com that may or may not sell belt given to nine for your model see if they have your model in stock. The cost is generally 1/2 of what you have to pay for a new belt, but you will need to return the old belt to them.

  • What exact HP Laser Jet models are combined with CB518A?

I have a question about the product Hewlett - Packard P 500-sheet input tray - LJ P401x/P451x Series (CB518A). What exact HP Laser Jet models are combined with CB518A?

I looked through your website but I couldn't find anything on CB518A. Then I tried Russian/English sites (online markets), but the information differs from one site to the other. I need this information!

    Hey ana banana

I looked in the paper that you are connected.  The series P4010 mentioned refers to the P4014, P4015 I mentioned above.  It seems that the paper tray is also compatible with the P4510 series which is an improved version of the model P4010.  The P4515 is referenced by instructions P4510 printer.

So far, these are printers only 3 that I found using this paper tray, however.

Thanks for your help you have solved my problem. I just need to adjust the paper stop.

  • laser jet

My HP Laser Jet P1102 does not recognize that I have installed a new toner cartridge - still to come up with "out of toner" alert. I tried off, reinstall the cartridge and generally fiddling around with it but not joy.  She also refuses to notice when I replaced the paper after the execution of work environment or put paper in the tray to print side 2 - he's there flashing message 'replace paper' until I have give it away and remove work - help please!

Let's try the second kind of reset mentioned in this video, because it seems that your printer has difficulties to recognize its sensors.

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=31TbWMrTaFk

Before unplugging the printer, I remove the paper and toner and replace them after back on the powers of the printer.

In addition, I've seen a number of little problems like this problem by changing the configuration. How the printer is connected to the power supply? Is it connected directly to a wall jack or a limiter of surge, backup battery or power strip? Here's a post I did on the importance of this.

  • Cannot print thick paper my hp laser jet 2840

How can I print photo paper thick 200 g/m² on laser jet 2840 hp printer it keeps jamming. How windows 7 64 bit hp Pavilion

What bin you're impression of?  Have you tried to use the 1 vs tray 2 tray, etc.?  Change the tray will often change the paper path and therefore has the possibility of interference do not leave a different bin.  I recommend the Tray 1.

However, avoid adding print to Tray 1 so that the printer prints or jams may occur. Do not fan paper before loading them into trays and avoid overloading the trays.  Also, be sure to configure the tray properly - make sure it is configured as brilliant - Extra heavy or glossy cardstock.

  • Color Laser Jet MFP M277dw Pro: frequently updated software

I am the owner of a color Laser Jet MFP M277dw Pro. I get updates almost every week, and the software update is very strange. I'm clicking on the update system, it takes a lot of time to meet up with the text saying I'll remove the actual update or add another device. When I say no, thanks, I'll get a message saying that my update was successful (but only if I have to cancel this message). I don't understand why I have to go through this illogical question. Also, I don't understand why it is not necessary to update very frequently, especially when there is no explanation of the reason why.

The two just exclamation points annoy me because I think that there must be a problem with the software, even if the printer works well.

  • Laser Jet P1102s: Win7Control Laser Jet P1102s Panel question

After the successful installation of my new Laser Jet P1102s on Windows 7 (32 bit), I found two icons in the control panel (see attachment). One is on the right side OK - the printer works well. But there is a sort of warning sign near the left ikon. Someone knows the reason or the sense of that?

    THX

    Hi Hegefer,

Thanks for letting me know that the icon was not restarted.

I think that's the Smart Install which automatically load the printer again on the restart and we can simply turn off so that it will not continue.

Here are the instructions if you want to proceed when you have time.

Follow these steps to disable the Smart Install. Select printer not PC:

On the Windows computer, go to start, computer, right-click the CD for the

printer and left click Open in a new window, go to smart util/siutility.exe/HP install utility.
Shows printer or PC - select printer.
    Then click on disable.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Laser Jet P1102w, need to factory reset

Hello. I have a Laser Jet P1102w, which I had set up to print wireless before and had difficulty. So in the integrated Web (EWS) of the printer server I set up with an IP address manually and subsequently he fiine. Then my ISP sent a different router that I have implemented. Unfortunately I did change the IP address manually on my printer to the integrated Web server, first of all. Oops!

In any case, I reinstalled the printer using the original HP DVD installation disc and also downloaded all updates firmware and HP Scan and print doctor. But it will not complete the wireless installation, I get an error message: "the printer has been able to connect to the network wireless using the wireless identification information.  However, this computer is unable to communicate with the printer.  Please check printer is on the same network as the computer and try again. »

I am able to print a page of Self Test/Configuration of the printer which shows the old manual IP address that I had put in the SAP. Of course this IP address will not bring up the SAP any longer so I can't change it to manual. Config page shows also that my printer is on the new network, as it's my computer. I think that printing held back by not being able to connect with the new router from this router is an IP address anywhere near manual that I put on the printer (if necessary).

I saw in the other responses to requests for similar information that I can get rid of the IP address manually, if I do a factory reset. Except that I do not know how. P1102 w doesn't have a 'control panel', just the wireless button and another "X" button - the one who insisted to get the Configuration Page. Press together does not reset anything.

Can you tell my how to do a reset to the factory settings? Or think of another way, I can get into EWS printer so I can fix this? Or another solution?  Thank you!

Hi, me again. I managed to reset the printer by following these steps: 1. get off the printer. 2. press and hold pressed the buttons 'X' and wireless at the same time and then press the power button. 3. always held the X and the buttons wireless for a total of about 15 seconds to push at the start. Then released.
