• Helps with the size of the paper M1176n MFP HP laserjet printer/scanner color

  I've just set up my new printer - HP MFP M1176n color laserjet printer/scanner.  I am based in the European Union and we use paper A4 - but for some reason, it seems to be the impression in a format suitable for American paper size.  Can anyone suggest how to change that?  It's almost as if she makes the smaller document to fit on what would be the American paper size.  But I use A4, and so there is a gap at the bottom of the page?  Thank you, S

  Did you enter M176n instead of M1176n?

  Click on the HP Printer Wizard and select game Preferences. The HP Print Wizard should be present if you have installed the full features of printer software and driver.

  You can change the printing options in Windows to change the paper size by default for the metric equivalent.

  

  

  be sure that you save the changes to the default paper size to A4.

  I have a HP HP Envy 120 loan which is an American model. It was provided to me for free by HP to allow me to help answer questions printer.

  I live in the European Union and use A4 paper.

  Hi Lou,

  Basic scanning drivers built into the operating system only allow scan however a USB key.

  You can follow these steps to install the previous HP software by using compatibility mode:

  I have installed HP laserjet 2820 all-in-one on the new laptop with Windows 7 (per network) - I was able to connect to the printer, but not the scanner.  And I can '; get the HP Solution Center.  Any help will be appreciated.

• LaserJet 1120 scanner works only in a single machine

  I have a Laserjet M1120 MPF for more than 3 years.

  In an old laptop, with Windows XP and the driver delivered with your printer, the scanner works fine but
  in another two machines, by any means. No luck.

  When I try to analyze, movements of scanner, makes noise, and after a while, the computer complains about something like "lost communication" (I can't give a more information since HP even diagnose tool do not tell me anything else).

  A machine is a Dell Latitude 5420 running Windows 7.

  The other is a HP DV6-6170br with dual boot. For the Windows 7 original supplied with it, and the other is a Linux OpenSuse 12.2.

  All these 3 configurations will work with the latest drivers from the HP site (later from 2013-02-19).

  The original CD driver has no driver for Windows and or Linux.

  I'm sure that the two laptops work perfectly.

  The problem is something on the drivers, I guess.

  Any help, please?

  How long is the USB cable?

  Are you connecting to USB 2.0 or 3.0 on laptops USB ports?

  What antivirus and firewall are you using?

  I've just updated to 10.9 (Mavericks) and the scanner software cannot save the picture correctly in PDF format.  The image looks fine in the HP scanning application, but the saved PDF file is cut on the right side (an inch or two).

• The upgrade to Windows 7 with my Laserjet 3030 scanner

  I retired recently my PC and XP in exchange of new PC (HP) with Windows 7. Most of the time, everything went very well. Nice OS. However, I had to get a new driver for my HP Laserjet 3030 of HP to make it work with Windows 7. Their only choice was a universal driver for this printer. That worked well, except that I lost all my other features All in One printer scanner IE. The scanner is waiting for the PC, but it resets after 30 seconds without analyzing. I looked for additional drivers solve, but HP does not seem to offer to those who understand the scanner. Any suggestions?

  And Yes, I have a PDF reader and a printer. None of them has no menu to offer a solution. All suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

  After more reflection and lack of comments on this issue, I decided to install XP virtual emulation to solve the problem. I use the scanner from time to time, is important to my home office, but can work with the obligation to switch to XP. I installed the feature on my computer from my wife when its software would not work in Windows 7 and it works fine. I think this solve my problems until HP gets with the program and supports drivers in order to cover all the features of the Laserjet 3030 All in one. Hope that this announcement will help others who have the same problem.

• Fax and scanning of accidents

  Very happy that the scanning with my LaserJet 1220 is supported under Windows7 with scan drivers and Microsoft Scan and Fax. [Previously it has been supported under XP but not Vista].

  I have run the Microsoft Scan application and Fax, and it tells with success the printer/scanner to scan the page. As expected, the app will search a second page. The movements of printer/scanner to scan any page of the second. It stops because I charge only one page. Now the application is waiting for a long period of time and then crashes. An error message box is displayed with a very generic message-
  ERROR. A problem prevented the document are analyzed. Please try again, or to correct this information, see Help and Support or the documentation that came with the scanner.

  Found a solution/workaround with more information to you. The system works correctly by changing the Type of file as a JPEG (a default TIF). Scan worked fine. During which time surprise, amaze all previous TIF scans is appeared in the folder as well. They look very well.

  Index of debugging if this can help, it's that

  indicates the Source of the "Unknown (unknown model) Make" TIF files

  whereas that the Source for JPEG files correctly indicates "HP LaserJet 1220 Scanner"

  Anyway, JPEG works for me. Got what I need. Thanks Windows7. Now I can move my laptop from XP to Windows 7. [Was to keep at least a XP computer around so that I had at least one computer to scan from].

• MFP HP Laserjet Pro 127fn: get my scanner to work

  This is a new printer/fax/scanner and I am not sure how to operate the scanner.  I had on the previous HP, he showed the HP in the "start" Menu and I just clicked on it and was able to scan. I am using the USB cord and it is printing. Suggesstions?

  A 22 Scanner error indicates a hardware failure.

  Once the error of compensation, can you managed to make a copy form the device?

  If you can not make a copy, the error of WIA is not related to the problem at all, but the scanner is not working.

  If you are able to make a copy, check the following on your PC:

  In Windows Explorer, click with the right button on "This computer", and select manage.

  Select Services and Applications, and then click Services.

  Open the properties of the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service, then the Dependencies tab.

  See the Hardware Detection kernel as described below or may service only the RPC Service is indicated?

  

• LaserJet M1212nf MFP: Spring / roll jumped out of scanner flat.

  I had a paper jam while I was scanning several sheets in the feeder.  I opened the lid of the scanner and a spring / roll came out.  I am still able to print and scan from the tray, but I'm not able to use the charger.  I have attached a photo of the piece that jumped.  Anyone know where it's going?  Thanks in advance.

• LaserJet Pro 400 M451dn: Problems copying documents from the printer scanner

  I use a Mark II of Canon Canoscan 9000F scanner to scan documents and copy them into the HP LaserJet Pro 400 451dn color laser printer.  I use the 'Copy' button on the front of the scanner function.  When a color or photo document is scanned this way the red and blue colors are reversed when it comes to the printer off.

  Both the scanner and the printer work perfectly in all other situations.

  Somehow the red and blue colors are to be swapped when a document goes to the scanner to the printer.

  I called the Support Canon technique and they told me that they have never heard of this problem and have never had it reported before.  When you use the "Copy" button function there is no setting that can be done. The scanner copy what he sees.

  So why the red and blue are exchanged on the printer?

  What happens if you scan the document itself to the computer and then print the scanned copy? If it is ok, then the question must be the scanner software which sends the document to the printer and has nothing to do with the printer. Sorry, but it's a hot issue.

• MFP HP Laserjet color 200: Scanner not found Error Message on my computer

  5 years ago I had a HP inkjet printer and after that it has been installed, I never got the scanner to work. I always had an error message (do not remember the wording). Last month, I had a new HP laserjet printer with a scanner and it is installed, but still once, I get an error message when it comes to scanning. This message says that there is no scanner found on my computer.

  Today, in the control panel of the printer, I could open the analysis option. It seems that the only options are to send the scan of an email or having the scan sent to a flashdrive (USB port). So, if I want to scan a photo, how do I just scan the image and save it to my documents? Why is the only option to send it in an email or a flash drive, or a network folder? If I try to access the scanner to my computer (instead of using the Panel on the front of the printer), it looks not to the scanner is connected to the computer, even if it is (I went into System Preferences and found the printer and the printer and scanner are connected with this new printer).

  So, my question is double; why I get this message saying my scanner is not on my computer and is the only way to use the scanner is to him have connected to the internet or to a USB port, and if so, how do I connect it to my e-mail address or the network? I guess I have to send the scanned image to myself if I want it on my computer or save it on a USB? Thanks for any help.

  HALLALUJAH!  Now, I can scan, fax and print.  I did not follow the directions of RnRMusicMan together.  I just deleted all the HP software that had to do with print and then installed the suggested software.  I do not close the firewall or do any of the other suggestions.  Other people with the same problem may have to follow all the indications made by RnRMusicMan above.  RnRMusicMan, THANK YOU for giving me the link for the correct HP software to solve the problem, HP LaserJet full feature software and driver.   Without your help, I would have not a scanner works on this printer.  I scan most all instead of filing paper.  I was in trouble when the sweep would not work. ... HP support is GREAT!
