LaserJet 2600n: failure sensor output Possible in Laserjet 2600n after jam

Clear a paper jam in the output area of old printer Laserjet 2600n. The paper path is clear, but the system reboots with error paper jam in the output tray.  Can't see any paper in the path, and then select button does not clear. This printer no longer exists?

Yes, but I forgot the color of the wire August.  Remove it from the network and do a cold reboot.  This will clear internal programming.

Then run a test page or config and see if it gives the error.   If only, it throws an error while pushing a job, the question could be anything in the page configure the DC the default controller.   This part number is RM1-1975 and they are less than $20 on eBay.

I guess you did few checks "witch hunt", as to ensure no crack in the tray, make sure that the default paper size is correct, pulled from the fuser and fed a piece by hand, or get a dental mirror type and a little LED flashlight to check it... etc.

With these things, there not many of us with experience on them because they were considered to be disposable.   While I personally worked on thousands of printers, I've only worked on my own 2600N, but you had no other answers in response to your question.

If you need transparency, then png sequence is the way to go. If she didn't need transparency then jpg sequences are are a good choice. To really keep the file size down, you can also watch the GIF animations. Usually, I shoot jpg or png sequence in Photoshop and use the timeline to create the animated gif. If you want the full video experience then output a mp4 of EI and drop in animate it but disable controls if it's just an animation sequence. for the movement to animate: mp4, webm, and animated GIFs are the choices.

If you don't need to run a sequence of jpg or png of AE then use the tool of the region of interest in the model to cut the surplus. The output sequence, then drop a symbol to animate images.

    Hello

You will need to back up all your personal files, etc. before executing a factory reset - an option to do this is to use the facilities available in Windows 7, as described in the guide on the link below.

  • HP LaserJet 4250: Brick HP LaserJet 4250 after firmware update failed. Compact Flash card recovery options?

While performing an update of firmware via FTP using cURL, the HP LaserJet 4250 I worked has frozen. I had no choice but to cycle the power and hope for the best, but unfortunately it was bricked. The screen no longer lights upward when turned on (although I can hear the internal working mechanisms which is a good sign).

While doing some research, I read it is possible to buy a 32 MB CompactFlash card with preloaded firmware (http://bit.ly/1BTZGCh), put the jumper pin on the logic board to boot from it and then re-flashing the firmware on the card. Looks like a foolproof solution, but I would like to save my company some money if possible.

I was wondering if it is possible to use a Type I, 128 MB Compact Flash card I have handy and load the firmware above myself using a USB Compact Flash card reader/writer. Judging by what I read on another post on the forum (http://bit.ly/1GR6nM7), it seems possible to use a Unix/Linux utility such as JJ to clone another job Compact Flash card with preloaded firmware. However, I don't have such a card to clone. What I have is another HP LaserJet 4250 in working condition.

So that raises the question, is it possible to insert my own blank Compact Flash card in a HP LaserJet 4250 work and copy the firmware the logic board to the map image by using the printer control panel? I guess it would be the only way, if necessary, to get the firmware on the card.

However, if she is not the only way, is there an easier way to get the firmware on the card? For example, can I just format the card in FAT32 and copy the file to the RFU firmware to it and start the printer from him? Or the use of HP does it's own file system that is not readable on a PC? Also, would it be possible to use dd and simply copy the RFU directly on the card device believed himself (no file system) and boot from that?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I tried to find the answers to all these myself, but HP doesn't seem to provide a lot of detailed documentation on works of the firmware via Compact Flash process. I'd be very happy if someone with experience could provide the answers well! Thank you.

Looks like I'll be solving my own number here haha. So after bit peicing together information from different positions and some experiences, I managed to save my LaserJet bricks!

To fix a HP LaserJet 4250 bricks, two things are necessary: an of Type I CompactFlash card and other HP LaserJet 4250 work. It's a common printer, chances are you'll find another around the office.

Here are the steps to fix the printer:

    1. The card CompactFlash Slot 1 (bottom slot) on board the logical work printer. Instructions on how to do so are provided by HP here: http://bit.ly/1NNyIol
    2. (May be optional) Initialize (format) the CompactFlash card by following the instructions on page 327 of the repair of HP LaserJet 4250 (http://bit.ly/1D22T7R)

      (a) turn off the power to the printer.
      (b) turn on the power to the printer and then press and hold the MENU button when begins the memory count.
      (c) continue to hold the button down until all the lights on control panel three printer flashes once and then remain lit. It may take up to 10 seconds.
      (d) press the BACK ARROW button. The display should INITIALIZE the DISK.
      (e) press Select (mark). The printer initializes the hard drive and continues its power on sequence.

    3. Now that the CompactFlash card is formatted, it is time to copy the NAND of the printer to work on the CompactFlash card.

      (a) turn off the power to the printer.
      (b) turn on the power to the printer and then press and hold CANCEL when begins the memory count.

    (c) continue to hold the button down until all the lights on control panel three printer flashes once and then remain lit. It may take up to 10 seconds.
    (d) press the SELECT button (check mark).
    (e) press the MENU button.
    (f) use the arrow to scroll until you see COPY BOOTLOADER IN SLOT2.
    (g) press SELECT, and the cursor should get the word BOOTLOADER. Use the arrows to change this to NAND.
    (e) press SELECT, and the cursor should get the word SLOT2. Use the arrows to change this to SLOT1.
    (f) press SELECT. The copy process must begin, and the status will appear on the screen.
    (g) once the process is complete, turn the printer off and remove the CompactFlash card.
  • Now that we have a working NAND on the CompactFlash card, it's time to restore to our printer masoned. Perform the following steps on the printer of bricks.

    (a) turn off the power to the printer.
    (b) Insert the CompactFlash card into Slot 1.
    (c) set the jumper on the System Board on the arrow to start from the CompactFlash card.
    (d) turn on the power to the printer and then press and hold CANCEL when begins the memory count.
    (e) continue now the button until all the lights on control panel three printer flashes once and then remain lit. It may take up to 10 seconds.
    (f) press SELECT (checkmark).
    (g) press the MENU button.
    (h) use the arrow to scroll until you see COPY BOOTLOADER IN SLOT2.
    (i) press SELECT, and the cursor should get the word BOOTLOADER. Use the arrows to change this to SLOT1.
    (j) press SELECT, and the cursor should get the word SLOT2. Use the arrows to change this to NAND.
    (k) press SELECT. The copy process must begin, and the status will appear on the screen.
    (l) once the process is complete, turn off the printer, remove the CompactFlash card and reposition the jumper to the default position.
    (m) turn on the power to the printer. That's all! Everything should work normally again. No brick no more!

  • UPDATE (07/04/15): IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER HP LASERJET 4250

It turns out that you can just download the firmware on HP website and create an image of it bootable on a CompactFlash card. However, it is not as simple as just copying the firmware image. You should ignore the 633 first bytes of the file of the firmware (at least with the 08.260.1 version), then copy the rest on a CompactFlash card. You can accomplish this by running the following command on Mac OS X or Linux. Download and boot from a live CD of Linux like Ubuntu if necessary.

    DD if = lj4240_4250_4350fw_08.260.1.rfu ibs = 1 skip = 633 of = / dev/disk2

Replace "lj4240_4250_4350fw_08.260.1.rfu" with the name of the appropriate firmware file and ' / dev/disk2 ' with the appropriate device if necessary.

If you prefer, a bootable copy of the revision of the 08.260.1 firmware can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/1FeF3YP

As you can see in the image below, when opened with a hex editor, image downloaded from HP firmware starts with 1 b 25 31 2d bytes... However, the printer does not include the first part of the file when you start, because there are instructions of PJL and not binary. Bootable image begins at 631 byte (277 hex) highlighted. It may be possible that this address may change in future versions of firmware or for different printers, so here's how to know where to start the startup code. The first occurrence of 00 00 04 24 bytes, is where that starts. In ASCII, it looks to "... $". In this sequence, the 00 first is the beginning of the startup code. Here's another picture, of what should look like a bootable firmware image.

Non-bootable firmware image, downloaded directly from HP

Bootable firmware image, extracted of HP download

For fun, I unpacked it some of the files included in the firmware image, and it turns out that tracks on the printer to LynxOS. Who would have thought?

  • HP Laserjet P3015: HP Laserjet P3015 - paper jams

I just bought this printer in August 2015 and it keeps blocking every two pages. The most I managed to do print at the time was 15 pages when I used the Tray 1, but then he started jamming as well. The problem started 3 weeks ago. Finally, I disconnected and passed to another printer. Any help appreciated. I did the obvious things, such as disable, restart, tried on another computer, checked for jammed paper or small pieces. Nothing has worked. It is brand new.

It is an error generated for the merger and the paper output area unit. I would contact the company you purchased the printer to go and let them know what going to, if you have not yet. It is possible, that you have a bad/old oven or a sensor damaged or blocked.  I'll try to help you solve the problem, but I also don't want to frustrate you. Fuser for this model is not something you can easily get out if you have not before and I'm sure that's not a replaceable element of customer.

You can print with the back door of this open printer and the book will come out of the rear of the machine. Pull the rear door open a click (approx. 45 °) and try. If the paper is ok without interference, then the problem is probably with the exit sensor located adjacent to where the paper comes from the upper part of the machine. You will see a strip of thin black plastic in the Center and two large black tabs on each side of it. The should move freely without sticking.

If the paper still crashes, then the problem is probably with the fuser unit. Whatever it is, the company that bought it from should be willing to help you if there is a defective part or bad connection somewhere.

You can print on just 20 # bond 8.5x11 or something heavier like cardboard or labels?

  • Satellite L875D - an another GPU for Dual HDMI output possible?

My L875D Satellite has a loose VGA output and I can get is more a third monitor to display, which leaves me with just the screen of the laptop and a second monitor - the computer screen is too small for my needs, so I would get my other 27 "monitor in service yet.

Is it possible to install a different graphics card that came with the laptop? (AMD Radeon HD 7520G) I'd like one that allows me to connect two HDMI screens that extend, rather than duplicate.

What am I looking for and it is possible to install myself?

Thanks in advance for the advice,

    > Is it possible to install a different graphics card that came with the laptop?
No, it is not possible to replace or update the graphics card.

    > I'd like one that allows me to connect two HDMI screens that extend, rather than duplicate.

I recommend to use an external device, for example a * Dynadock * which would allow you to use additional external monitors.

  • HP laserjet 2200dn: false jam hp laserjet 2200dn

I have a laserjet 2200dn which worked very well so far.  Tried to print an e-mail and all three lights are solid lit.

There is no jam.  I turned off hard twice for more than 15 minutes each time.  Printer cycled through its normal and is starting operation went to normal sleep both times, then entered the error condition when told to print.

That essentially means it was one or a 49 error 79, he interprets as a trainer.

Sometimes when you print a file that causes this problem if you are using a postscript driver, it will work, or if you have an option to print TrueType fonts as bitmaps in the driver settings.

Since you are using a Mac, it is likely that you are using a PostScript driver, but I'm not familiar with your operating system.

  • LaserJet M1522 \HP: I can print but not scan after 10 Windows installed with HP LaserJet M1522 after trying things on this

I spent many hours on this forum today trying to solve my problem.

Everything was fine until Windows 10 installed after I * thought * I hit cancel their incessant commercial.   Before the upgrade of the OS,

    1. I used a shortcut to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HP\HP LaserJet M1522\Scan which took "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hp\Digital.

    2. a dialog box appears asking me to choose from a list of profiles of scanning that I did. Once what to choose, I have a second dialog box.

    3. I put the "paper Source" flat and the "Picture color" selected option button.

    4. I USED to be able to just click on Scan and then another dialog asking where to save it but neither preview nor Scan make the scanner scan button.  Overview gives me the wave 'an error occurred... ". Select "vernissage" again.  If I click on Scan, just all disappears.

    ______________________________________________________________________

I have tried the following to solve this problem:

    Installation of new drivers.

Doctor to Scan running (here, the green progress bar ends after the "HP M1522nf Scan LI" scanner picking and ending up with an error "Connect without success".)  It allows several options.

    -J' tried power cycling everything.

-Click on retry.  I take the last option in the list and it gives another green bar and I ended up a complete turn to the first page of the Scan Doctor with the "HP LaserJet M1522 MFP Series PCL 6" and "LI Scan M1522nf HP".  Both still have network connections and "installed".

-Continue the Scan doctor, I click install get.   I created which today many times without success.

I came to support and went through what looks like my problem even, but nothing seems to help.  I spent several hours to do.

I should also mention when it came time to download the drivers there are 3 categories.  In the first category, there are 3 drivers.  I went through each of them at this stage.

I realize your question at the top of the page is "HP printers - WIRELESS card Scanner is lost (Windows) ''."

I'm afraid to do an uninstall of HP "stuff" because my computer is a HP and I don't want to aggravate my problems than they already are.

I understand there is a windows application to use for scanning, but because it also controls the camera to the computer, I wanted to stick with the simple scan, which I used for many years now, coming to scan from my HP scanner/printer to my HP computer.

Thanks a lot for your opinion.

    OK, got it to work!

Desinstallion old prinerdriver as good as he got, withdrew the rest of this register and recycled the ' puter.

Then installed latest firmware for the printer (do not know if this was necessary, but it had those of 2009 and the most recent from 2013, so I guess it wouldn't hurt).

Installed the latest universal driver for HP (this still does not solve the problem but...)

Finally reinstalled former driver Win 7 complete solution and then it works. I guess it fills some gaps while retaining the more fresh drivers?

  • HP laserjet 1300: after updated W10 at another level cannot print locally on connected LaserJet 1300 preinstalled

Recencly upgraded to Windows 10 year old PC.  The printer, usb, is a HP Laserjet 1300 and the upgrade found a driver and local printing works very well.  I have a home network that an old XP pc is connected to and used the 1300 without problem.  Upgrading to W10 came from W8.1 and whatever the driver he had allowed things to work.  On the XP poster print spooler and the error now.  HP Print and Scan Doctor run on the W10 pc indicates bad port, but it cannot be changed.   The port on the pc W10 is DOT4_001.  Doctor print run on the XP indicates that the printer is indeed available, but printing fails.  The W10 pc is W10 home so I can do the print management service to see what real driver has been installed.   The print doctor also pointed out that the full usb support is not installed.  I don't know what it is and clicking on get the software takes me to the center of hp supporot.

I would appreciate anyones ideas on how to solve this problem.

I got the printer work from XP to pc W10.

The upgrade of the W10 has not created a home network as what was there in W8.1.  I had created and made there several days that the residential group names are the same, etc.  Even without the network in place, worked a ping from one to the other.

I had old information to work for nearly 30 years as a programmer for fortune 500 company system and that he was referring to XP and more recent Windows system, demanding that internal guest account is active.

W10 upgrade is not the active guest account.  I lit with a guest net user / activate: Yes and I tried printing and the bingo it worked!

    LaserJet 3100 C3946A USBF021323 Mfg October 13, 1999

    Use of the history/primary

A fed not location of several page for years. Only OK food for my purposes. Is not used for fax or printing from the computer. Use main scan and copy.

    Malfunction

To replace the empty toner cartridge. First scan and copy effort leads to a paper jam in the copy with part of page rest phase in the feeder (don't remember if used not simple or multi bin for food). Page fired back with normal resistance (no tear or missing corners). First 1/3 of page was released folded in the second 1/3. Toner deposited as expected the first 1/3 and 1 inch in 1/3 second. Toner condition dry dust, unheated. Deposited toner clear and distinct than original scan. Next effort of scanning and copying. Sheet inserted in the tray sheet to the statement "Bin is empty please add paper." This resulted in "printer paper Jam check paper" Path message when paper is inserted. Can't see any piece of paper inside. Restart by pressing the "Stop/Clear".  Also turned off by unplugging the power cord for several minutes reconnect. 'Jam' same message when paper is inserted. Reinserted previous (almost empty) cartridge with results of same message "insert a paper and jam." Also tried the two reboot methods thanks to this previous cartridge.

I would appreciate any advice that may fix this problem.
