LaserJet P1102w: Laserjet P1102w cannot activate the installation with Windows Vista 32 bit PC computer wireless

Hello forum HP, I can use the Laserjet P1102w with USB connection on 3 different devices including a portable Apple and PC Windows Vista and Windows 7 laptop computer, but can not perform a wireless installation with the broadband internet connected wireless PC running Windows Vista 32 bit. The main message is that the computer does not find the printer even when using the USB connection. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Kaiser3107,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer that connects three thin devices via the USB port, but you can not perform a wireless installation on a fourth device, equipped of Windows Vista 32-bit, because the PC does not detect the printer via the USB port. I would like to help with that.

Here is a support document which includes 'USB device is not detected by Windows' which can help the issue of detection - Troubleshooting (Windows Vista) USB connections.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

Thank you!

  • LaserJet p2015 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit

I just got a new computer with Windows Vista 64-bit operating system.  I tried to connect my HP Laserjet P2015 printer, but it was not recognized.  In addition, the computer does not recognize the CD supplied with the printer.  Download the necessary software on this site?  I can't seem to find it on mine, and I am a novice when it comes to computers.  Any help out there?  see you soon

Go to Support & drivers above.  Click on drivers.  Enter the model number of your printer.  A list of drivers should appear.  IF Windows Vista 64 bit is listed, click on that and you should be on your way.  BUT be aware that not all older printers are compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit.  I have a HP Scanjet 4470c which is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit on my new HP computer.  So I have a HP Scanner perfectly although I can't use and this Scanner is not that old.  Good luck!

  • Multiprocessor Configuration does not support the installation of Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm going as a joint discussion on the multiprocessor Configuration not supported during the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. I have a HP with a motherboard HP xw6200 workstation. The Machine has dual Zeon 3.20 Ghz. the procesors are identical. There bus 800 MHZ front. It has 6 gigs of 400 MHZ DDR2 Ram. I've updated to the latest version of the bios a few months ago. It has worked very well in dual boot with the last pack of 64-bit XP and Vista 64-bit SP1 for a long time. I tried to upgrade using a clean 64-bit Windows 7 installation when I got the error Stop Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported: 0X0000003E. I tried to upgrade to Vista and XP with the same error message. I also installed a new unformatted disk and tried to install the operating system again through the CD and got the same error.

    Hi ITCoreTeam,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Test the material under test once, by contacting the manufacturer. The problem is caused due to hardware.
Cause: This situation can occur if the incorrect processor packages are used or if the BIOS incorrectly allows a processor erratum.

Download the update available in the link below and install it. It may solve your problem.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer to update the chipset drivers as you have updated the BIOS of your computer.

Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hello:

See if you can make your own Vista installation disc if you can read the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them one my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, worked flawlessly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

  • I have a piece of test equipment that is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 - bit edition. Is it possible to go back to the 32-bit version without having to re - install?

The test equipment is a Site Master S820D used for the test of microwave signals.  It is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit, but is with Windows Vista 32 - bit.  Want to know if there is a way to get back to Windows Vista 32-bit, without having to buy a new operating system.  The program is called "Site Master Handheld Software Tools".

    Hello

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista, or vice versa, you will need to back up your files, then select custom during installation of Windows Vista. Next, you need to restore your files and reinstall your programs

I have a laptop Dell - Inspiron, with Windows Vista 64-bit. I just bought a HP Deskjet 3054 A multifunction printer and my computer will not install the drivers.  I had a Canon printer and had removed all software before you try to add the HP.  I even tried to reinstall, and each time to get a message to both say he is unable to install the drivers.  I currently have a windows update waiting for an update for the processor intel and it also will not be installed. This problem does not seem to be specific to the device, but rather a problem with Windows Vista and after reading a lot of discussion seems to be common.  But I still have no idea how to fix this.

Have you tried to delete the file INFCACHE.1? Deleting the file INFCACHE.1 will force Windows to rebuild the file INFCACHE.1 next time window is looking for drivers.

  • Cannot install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704) a safe mode or after clean window reboot

I can't install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704), a mode without failure or after clean window reboot.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    Hey, I'm Ryan.
I am running windows vista 32 bit and I get 2 files corrupted when I run SFC - they relate to the windows sidebar (sidebar.ini and store source file is also corrupted). I did a repair installation, and this always happens when I run the SFC.

1 - is this going to cause any problems to my laptop if I leave it alone?
2 could it be related to a virus?
I'm sorry for the questions, but I'm confused as to how this happened... Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    1 NO.

    2 NO.

This SFC message could be caused by the manufacturer of the computer adding gadgets to the sidebar before installation of Windows for you, or some other change to the sidebar gadgets

    Hello

I think that Windows Vista, which is installed on a computer, is determined only for this computer and cannot be used for another computer.

If you want to upgrade your second computer with Windows XP in Windows Vista, you must purchase another license, which include a new product key.

  • "Not enough space" error windows install during the installation of Windows vista SP2 software

Original title - cannot install Windows Installer 3.1 on Windows Vista Home Edition

I use windows vista home with service pack 2 installed. I have a custom made software. Before installing this software, I need to install 4 i.e. cystal reports, dotnet, report viewer and Windows Installer 3. I was able to install the first 3, but the windows installer fails, it is said to be "saturated". I also tried MSI 4.5 but of no use. My software runs well on Windows XP. The interesting thing is that I return this software a year and I installed it on vista and it worked fine. Now I have re-installed windows vista on my computer and had updated. Now this problem. Could there be a reason why some update to windows vista, I installed now wasn't there last year that causes the problem. Can anyone help.

    Hi tbilal22

Windows Installer 4.5 comes pre-installed with Windows Vista and Windows Vista SP1. Please refer to the article for more information-

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/942288

It is possible that the old software, it is not compatible to be used with Windows Vista SP2. I suggest you try software installation by using the Windows Vista or XP on Windows Vists SP2 compatibility mode and check if you are able to solve the problem.

Compatibility mode is used if a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work properly. Then, you can use the program compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility of the program settings. To manually change the settings of a program, use the individual program's compatibility tab

You can check the link for assistance on compatibility mode - mentioned below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot install the C4680 with windows XP-

I recently bought a C4680 with the intention of using it as a wireless printer connected in conjunction with a Linksys print server. Currently, I do this now with three PC and another HP printer.

I have a laptop with Vista Home, another laptop with XP s/p3 and a desktop with XP s/p3.

With the Vista PC installation was quick and easy. However, when installing on both machines XP, installed on the ground to stop when you try to install the drivers after the connection of the USB cable. The two printing support, and mass storage facilities returned a "cannot complete this installation - driver is not digitally signed.

I spent four hours on the phone with HP support before they admitted that they could not do work on the XP laptop.

What I will meet the same exact errors when I try to install on the XP desktop.

My question: is there someone out there who has successfully installed the C4680 with Windows XP?

Large. Glad to know that it worked.
