LaserJet Pro M201nw: M201nw LaserJet Pro no longer meets the ePrint requests, a few minutes after connecting to the network

I've just implemented a new M201nw of the LaserJet Pro and it works fine, except for a problem with the printer with ePrint.

I could implement Web Services on the printer and add it to as an ePrint, connected HP printer. Thanks to ePrint and Google Cloud Print printing for a few minutes after you have turned on the printer.

But after a while, that can last from 3 to 10 minutes, the printer appears as "offline" in connected HP. If I check the settings ePrint to the printer through the front LCD or the web interface, for "ePrint Server Status", one of two things happening: sometimes there's just busy, or after a few seconds, I see "connection error. Check the Internet connection. »

When I see the error message, I ask 'Tour ePrint temporarily turned off.' The printer will reconnect ePrint and work for a few minutes again.

Local networking features of the printer such as network printing and web interface do not seem to have any problems.

I don't think that the problem is related to my internet connection, which is reliable. I can monitor the traffic on my network and see communication between servers, XMPP from HP ePrint and the printer when the printer is working normally. When the printer has this problem, I still see the traffic coming in from HP but no traffic coming out of the printer. It's very strange and suggests part of the firmware of the printer does not work properly.

Anyone else had problems with this printer model?

Finally, I have determined the cause of the problem. While doing a follow-up, I discovered a router not authorized on the network itself advertising via the Protocol RIP (Routing Information) emissions. It seems that his presence finally confused the printer to know where to send the traffic. After turning off the emissions from the router, the ePrint feature, now works well.

The laptop has this annoying problem to revive a few minutes after the laptop has stopped, and that's why I want to update the BIOS to see if it suits him. Laptop is running XP Pro (downgraded from Vista).

Ideas how I can get the update of the BIOS and will it solve the strange rebooting problem?

    Paul

Where are you trying to download the BIOS?
I always download my updates on the official website of Toshiba and if it doesn't work maybe you should wait a day.

To be honest, I doubt that the BIOS update will solve this problem. I often read about this problem and you can solve if you disable the wake on LAN function in the BIOS and Windows (properties of the wireless network card).

My printer displays a message that there is a software update for eprint available I said to go and install using the touch pad on the control panel...

Since that time my printer will print is no longer the files that I send through my network wireless of my MacBook pro.  However, it will print from another computer which is windows based.

Test the printer says that it is connected to the network wirelessly with the same IP address because he always had and good fopr the network SSID

If I click on the HP printer icon in the Dock, he says that the printer is ready and tells me that I am low on ink cartridge.

When I try to send a file to the printer to print, I get the drop down menu to select the predefined formats and printing mode.  Then, I get the indication that the work is underway with the number 1 in red circle on the printer icon in the dock, when I click on the icon of the menu of the printer work box opens and the following sequence occurs:

    1. menu says "in search of computer"

It seemed to work for now. I also went to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907 and downloaded and new set of drivers for OSX Mountain Lion.

Since periodically all the lights light up and blink on my printer, I fear that something has been zapped during a storm, a week or two ago. The only way to reset when this occurs is waiting for power supply, 30 sec to disconnect and reconnect. Thanks for your help!

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf begins to lose the network connection

Hello! I have HP LaserJet M1522nf and I use it for about 1 year maybe, but since last week, he begins to lose the network connection (ping failed, web interface does not work too). To be correct, the printer is connected directly to the network through an ethernet cable, and the cable is perfectly fine. His work when you turn it on and for the next 5 to 15 minutes, but after that it lost connection (tasks start fails).

I really like using little aid, some perhaps of advice. Any suggestions?

Hard reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure your settings.  Pass the cable to a different port on the router.  You said that the cable was good... change anyway.  Try now.

  • L7680 JO is no longer on the network

I have a L7680 all-in-One, since this model is released - I think about 10 years.  It's a great printer.  Suddenly, he "fell off" my network, and I can't put it back on.

I use a wired Linksys Cisco network and the printer must receive its IP from the router's DNS address.   One day - no known cases happened - the printer is no longer "considered" by our computers.    I went through the following steps to reset it:

    -Reset network

-Reset the printer to factory settings gradually try the following reset tips: #3, #6, and #9, which none worked.

-in network settings, it shows the following IP address, which is a mystery to me: IP = 169.254.60.53 (normally it would be something like 192.168.1. #)

I prefer not to use a fixed IP address, unless it is strongly recommended.

I don't know if the network card somehow got fried, but am willing to thow it in the trash.  I send you this note as my last effort to save the printer.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Thank you for all your help.  I did a complete reset (factory settings) everything from my modem routers and switches and reset the printer (#9) to the factory settings.  It worked.

I appreciate all the help and follow up on my problem.

This is where I downloaded, but just didn't know that I can run the exe file in the second download.

  • I just upgraded to CC (from LR 5) on the Macbook Pro and can import is no longer on the network drive.  New version is LR 5.7.  Help?

Just as the title says: MBP, retina works very well with LR 5 installed from CD.  CC, updated to 5.7 LR added and now import "crashes" without activity.  Have been using LR since version 2.

More information: the problem is written on my network drive (which works since LR 2...  It seems a temporary folder is created with the permissions 755 (owner = rw, group = r, other = r).

    then nothing more.

If something has changed regarding the manipulation of LR of network drives.  It is a Linux SMB CIFS/sharing (again, use since LR 2).  The catalogue is local on my MBP.

It comes to my post and I am new, so I can't provide the answer in the "usual".  (Feel free to ask!)

    Solution:

The volume mounted on MacBook is/Volumes/photowork.  Note the small "p" followed.   In LR, I chose a mount point

with * caps * 'p '.  See screenshot.  Summary: The point already selected was/Volumes/Photoshop editing.  LR had no complaints.  When

I changed the mounting point for Volumes/photowork LR imported as expected.

This has only become a problem since the upgrade, because I just never fiddled with mount points and so on.  This archive

Server has new files 2000 on it.    Many thanks to those who responded.

  • HP LaserJet 200 M276nw: Configuration of the network for HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw

Can the M276nw of 200 HP LaserJet can be configured to scan to a network without initial setup of a PC folder? Without having first to connect the unit to a computer first.

We run a virtual environment and the printer will need to scan to a folder configured network and this should be done through the device. Of course, file permisisons will be completed before. I think I saw a manual where the Embeded webserver had this configuration, but would have to make sure, before committing to the purchase. Thanks in advance.

    We gladly invite you.

Yes, the printer supports the SMB Protocol indeed.

  • Cannot install Officejet Pro 8500 A910 on the network in my laptop Windows XP

    Resolved, not resolved.

I talked to HP technical support. The Officejet Pro 8500 A910 will not install on Windows XP (at least the home edition) when networked through a router. It will install via USB. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled with only USB connected to clear all printer/scanner of network information. Product support claimed it would install through an ether net cable connected between the printer and the computer, but it does little good if you need internet access.

  • Can no longer see the network icon in the notification area...

OK, if one day I had an update alert Active on the lower right corner of my screen of my laptop. It was to download the new version of AIM-we said that your update is available, or something like that. I clicked on 'Install now' and went through the process with the GOAL. When I arrived at the end of the process, he said that everything was installed and I'm ready to go. Then when I restarted my computer, nothing has changed in GOAL it was always exactly the same as it was before I tried to install the software and my Internet connection / network connection icon is missing from the notification area next to where the time is displayed.

I searched and searched through my computer trying to turn it back on right click on the bar tasks then go to the menu to set the network connection icon to 'active' again, but he wasn't there. I have no idea how to do to reactivate it, and I need in my notification area because I would like to know when and what network I'm connected to. I need help! Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • E709a printer is no longer on the network

Have had my printer/fax E709a installed with computers able to use from the network.  It is plugged into a wired router / wireless with Verizon FIOS.  Operating system on the computer connected to ethernet Wired is Windows 7 (64-bit) and Ubuntu Linux (via VMWare).  Other Windows XP computers and, for awhile, I had a very old Dell Ubuntu use via wired ethernet.

Recently, however, we had a power outage extended (about 40 hours) and it seems that, since I can't find the printer on the network.  I was able to run via the USB port on the bridge, but it would be nice if we can get it on the network again.

So far, I have tried... (with McAfee firewall off)

    Network HP 64 bit patch

    The diagnosis of HP's utility

Remove and reinstall the printer drivers

Print a "Configuration Page of HP network" and tying to access the IP address via my web browser (expires)

Open a command prompt window and trying to ping IP address of the printer (not responding)

Restart the printer by turning off and turn back while now #6

I'm out of ideas and I was wondering if maybe the power failure did something?

The power failure (or reboot to be able to introduce a voltage surge) may have blown the power supply.  Let's reset - unplug it from the wall and from the printer for 5 minutes and then try again.
