The update in question has been removed from the distribution. There is a new update which solves the problem. When you are prompted for the update, you should install it as usual members of creative cloud. If you have problems with the update, please contact customer support.

    You can try to restart the computer and check.

    Uninstall all USB device manager entries

    a. Click Start and typedevmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

    b. expand Bus USB controllers.

    Note: You will need to scroll down to find this point.

    c. the first USB controller under Bus USB controllers right click and then click on uninstall to remove it.

    d. Repeat steps above for each controller USB is listed under Bus USB controllers.

    e. restart the computer and check.

    I preached this whole week... my pleasure to increased win8 x 100 once I turned off the edge of the touchpad scan function.  The path may be slightly different, but the synaptics touchpad is the Control Panel / hardware and audio / mouse / device settings / settings / edge shot - and disable "enable edge scans".

    This prevents context changes maddening when browsing the web or doing anything on the touch pad really... you can always access the charms on the right upper or lower, and you can always access history FRO the top left corner after that you disable this... but it is much more controlled.

    Hi, I'm wanting to add text to a form of jpeg image. I can use the link in the menu 'A' to do it now, but I wanted to change the font, etc.  I read the content of help on the paint to see if there was a way to change the police etc & he says under the 'view' link on the bar menu, click on "text toolbar. but this option has been removed while the broad lines of the words are seen. It is not available. ive tried using different formulas for example, blank page in the paint to see if this only happens with a jpeg image, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

    Ms. phone 'support' said that they could not help & wanted to put me through a tech for $80!

    has worked...! Why isn't this in the Help menu for painting that I do not know! Why ms wants to pay $80aud to tell me is also an another shame...

    I chose the 'a' for the text... then dragged the blank square of the size I wanted to paste (or type) something in and like you said the option showed. Once I selected it, it pops up every time.

    Why the option is not displayed permanently is beyond me esp when there is no mention of having to go through any action before they appear in the Help menu also!

  • CC was last updated caused brush lag on all versions of Photoshop.  How can I fix?

    Since the update of last week at CC, I noticed a decrease in performance on all versions of Photoshop, I installed, CS6 and CC.  Many of the brushes I by default Photoshop and my own custom sets, lag horribly at the establishment.  My system didn't already have this problem that I can tell.  Just to be sure, I tested Photoshop on other versions, a macbook pro and a near top of the line PC.  The lag occurs on all systems.  I tried drawing with just the mouse and the Cintiq 12WX and responsiveness is the same.

    For the reasons of this case, here are the specs of my main work computer.  All the drivers are up to date, as is the operating system:

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40 GHZ

    RAM: 8 GB

    Operating system: Windows 8 (64-bit)

    Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series

    Hard drive: Samsung 830 256 GB Solid State (where my player scratching's)

    Monitor: 2 X Dell U2410

    I tried to change the settings of OpenGL and disabling altogether on all generations, including this one. There is no change in the shift of the brushes.

    I also tried to uninstall completely and re-installing Photoshop CS5 and CC on my work computer, which still has not resolved the problem.

    Well, after a completely useless tech support call, I managed to fix it myself by checking the attributes of each brush dragged one by one.  As far as I know, almost all troublesome brushes share the attribute of having their game of spacing to 1%.  Change the spacing of a higher percentage setting the lag helped tremendously.

    Try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

    What measures have you tried - prefs.js or user.js edition?

    My recommendation would be to use Windows shortcuts to cut, copy and paste: Ctrl + x, Ctrl + c and Ctrl + v. You can also use the context menu for these actions. On most websites, you don't really need to use the buttons for these features.

    Could it be caused by an add-on? You might want to try the Mode without failure of Firefox. It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    You can restart Firefox in Mode safe help

    Help > restart with disabled modules (Plugins like Flash will still work)

    In the dialog box, click on 'Start mode safe' (not Reset)
