  I've seen that happen periodically, but it is easy enough to fix. Simply remove the icon from your dock. Then re-create by dragging the Firefox icon in the doc from the applications folder.

• iTunes crashes when opening since the last iso update

  Updated my iso software a few weeks ago.  Since then, whenever I try to open itunes, it crashes and gives the following error: any suggestions on how to solve this problem?  Impossible to get in itunes at all.  Tried to start if not connected to internet/wifi etc as suggested by apple.  not good. didn't want to go that the uninstall/reinstall route until I was sure it was necessary.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  1. Do you use the NoScript extension? , It provides a hum of "mosquito" when a script is blocked. NoScritpt Options > Notifications-> Audio feedback when scripts are blocked
  2. Check the 'sounds' in the control panel. A recent Windows Update can have lit it.

• Yesterday Firefox installed an update and now it crashes several times.

  Yesterday, Firefox automatically updated to 19.0, which as I read it has some compatibility issues with Windows 8. Now, whenever I open a new tab, Firefox crashes.   There is a problem on Windows 8 with Firefox 19 and AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphic display cards.

• After the last update a few minutes ago, Firefox open all web pages.

  I was on a local web page run by a local server on my intranet. Firefox was not open. I opened it (last time it worked successfully was a few hours ago). He did an update.   Windows doesn't know it should start to Firefox to open these links.
  Try this first. Launch IE (yes I know) and set it as the default browser. After
  Close IE. Wait a few moments, then launch Firefox. Then set FF as a default.

• I lost documents and settings since the last update, and now Word doesn't

  Documents and settings are still there, I can tell because you can log in.

  Uninstall, and then reinstall Office.

  PS, Documents and Settings is a Windows XP name. 'S called it users in Vista and later versions.
