Late 2010 11 inch MBA vs purpose 2011 MBA Question
Hi all!
I have internal data of MBA 11 inches by the end of 2011 and the body of a late 2010 and 11 inches (model A1370) MBA. So, can I replace the inner workings of the MBA 2010 with those of MBA 2011? I mean, is the size of the logic on board, battery, interior components match in these two models? Thank you in advance!
In theory, it should work. It's a question of if the screws holding the different parts are in the same place. I'm not familiar with Air as well a Macbook. Like the Macbook in 2006 and 2007. As you can change the parts in people. Since the body is essentially the same.

How to use thunderbolt with Macbook Air (13 inch, late 2010)
Hi guys,.
I have a Macbook Air (13 inch, late 2010), which means he has only Mini DisplayPort and NO bolt of lightning.
And I need to connect it to the hard drive (my book lightning Duo) with crush. Is it possible to do?
If so, what type of adapter, I need to buy? Will you please tell me and it's important for me.
Looking forward to the answer. Thank you.
In a Word, it can not be done.
USB or share it on the network from a computer Thunderbolt.

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.
To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.
As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:
This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.
Ciao.

iMac (late 2009) 27-inch vertical streak on the right side
iMac (late 2009) 27-inch vertical streak on the right side. Oddly enough it is still there even on the gray splash screen. How much is it? I tried restarts it, Vpram etc, but still there. Always in the same place. Is a graphics card out or the display itself. Should I make an appointment with an Apple Retail Store?
Strange, strange! This mysterious line disappeared miraculously se today!
I am delighted, but at a loss for why it appeared and why he disappeared.
The only idea I have is THAT HEAT could have something to do with it.
I look forward to any comments on this mystery.

What type of screwdriver do need me for a MacBook Air (11 inch, late 2010)
I want to upgrade the memory of my macbook Air (which currently has 2 GB) 4 GB and I need the right screwdriver. I'll use a single 4GB DD3 1066 MHz memory. Is this right?
Thanks for the tips.
The memory in this model cannot be updated according to my information. This is why there is not user accessible memory slots. Open the computer won't change.

MBP 17 inch 2.5 GHz end 2011 video-questions
Good day to you all.
Confusion serious, for me anyway.
There are and have had problems with the AMD Radeon HD 6750 M and HD 6770 M graphics cards. Suddenly distorted video, random reboots, odd shaped and colored stalls artefarcts etc., in the start of the end.
I happen to have one of those affected Mbps, a late 2011 model, 17-inch core i7, 2.5 GHz, the model identifier MacBookPro8, 3, model number A1297, EMC 2564. It's still fully usable, nothing wrong, but who could, not necessarily expected or, will come to an abrupt end as many owners, some of my friends have known and display these columns.
The site of Apple "MacBook Pro repair Extension program for video Issues" (https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/), I learned:
products concerned:
• models of MacBook Pro 15 inch and 17 inch made in 2011.
• MacBook Pro 15 inch with retina models made from mid-2012-beginning 2013
I walked to my S/N MBP, it turns out that my MBP is no longer covered.
MacTracker 7.5.5 I learn that the MBP A1297 introduced in October 2011 and abandoned by June 2012.
Repair of Apple (for models non-retine) program talks about the models made in 2011.
My question: how about the models made between January and June, 2012?
Something has been changed or modified in order to get rid of the problems of graphics cards? Something like, say, update motherboard, graphics, a radiator, redesigned, more powerful fans?
For me, it's quite confusing, via this link www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html, I discovered that my MBP 17 inch out of the Assembly line the 5th week of 2012, factory C0, Quanta Computer China. I'm not the first buyer, I don't know who it was, or when it was first purchased.
What I worry, in other words is my MBP 'off-the-hook '?
Could someone shine some light in this?
With sincere greetings from continental Europe
Khalid Hoogenbos
The original questions developed in some 2010 models with integrated graphics discrete AND who uses graphics switching. These have proved to finally have a DEFAULT MONSTER - a defect in the graphics chip itself. The problem was there from the moment when they were built, but itself has failed, until these Macs have been highlighted or installed the latest versions of Mac OS X.
In order to determine what was causing the growing pile of bad mothers replaced the field, Apple has developed the video switching Test (VST).
Trying to continue studying these issues, other issues appeared in some 2011 models. These were not the same hidden defects in the chips, but Apple has never revealed exactly what they were.
Some users suggested that they might have been problems with the excessive heat generated or process, such as the exact used solder type, or the amount the technique with which it has been applied, or all of this and more. You must be certain that all relevant updates have been applied, (if any) that these may affect cooling fan control.
When you see a reminder that is limited to a certain period of time, you can generally be assured that if your Mac does not fall within the time limits stipulated it is simply NOT submitted the issues addressed in the callback.
To be eligible for the reminder, your Mac must strictly comply with ALL requirements. It is a very small subset of users whose MacBook Pro of the time period appropriate have additional problems and will not start. They are NOT eligible for the free motherboard replacement, because they can not run (and therefore may not) the VST test.

Hi there, I've never had this problem when I bought my MBP in 2010, but after the problem with unexpected reboots of El Capitan passage has become more common and is really affecting the productivity of my laptop.
For clarity, here's my cell phone information:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010)
Processor: Intel Core i5 2.53 GHz to
Memory: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics card:
integrated - Intel HD Graphics 288 MB
discreet - NVIDIA GeForce GT 330 M 256 MB
I ran the the Apple Hardware Test with no problems found. After looking on the forums and identifying the problem I installed gfxCardStatus to keep the graphics card using only internally, however, some programs force the use of Nvidia, which translates as the unexpected restarts.
The latest report of panic is attached below:
In any case, it is quite upsetting that after spending thousands of dollars on apple and laptops high-end, these problems are properly does not recognize their existence. After discussing with them several times they fail to take responsibility, when it is clearly a case of defective material...
Any suggestions for managing at least this issue would be very useful.
Thank you
Philippe

You have the MacBookPro6, 2 - the Edsel of Mac. There may be the failure of logic-board that was covered by a recall program that is now complete.
The model was abandoned in February 2011. From five years from this date, it will be classified by Apple as "vintage product." This means that Apple will refuse probably a maintenance action (see exceptions on the linked page.) In this case, you will need to go to an independent service provider. The part can be is no longer available, or the repair may not be profitable.
An appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple Store, or go to a different service provider authorized, to have the tested machine. Diagnoses of current equipment used by service providers don't detect the fault. There is a specific test for the same problem that Apple calls "VST" (for "video switching Test.") Ask for it. A "Failed" result means that the defect is present.
You may be quoted a price of about $350 (in the United States) for a "repair," which is to send the unit to a repair shop central and lasts about two weeks. For this package, found nothing wrong with it should be fixed, not only the logic board.
Sometimes, the spare part is also faulty, so be prepared for this eventuality. If you decide to pay for a new logic board, rigorously test during the 90 day warranty on the repair. Some owners have reported that they went up to three replacement boards before you get one that worked.
If you don't want to pay for the repair, you may (or may not) be able to work around the problem by disabling automatic switching graphics. To use the separate graphics processor, you will need a third-party utility to manually switch to him.
Often, the problems start after an upgrade of the OS. If the upgrade has been recently, and you have backups, you can then go back to a previous version of OS X.

How can I convert a LabWindows/CVI 2010 project to a Visual Studio 2011 project?
I have a good size project, 12 source files, headers 14, 1 uir, I want to be able to edit and compile in MS Visual Studio 2011, MSVC ++.
I remember that we tell him that LabWindows dropped support for C++ in 2008 and is more had a wizard to convert projects. I know that I can follow the path of the DLL, but I have never created a DLL before and don't know where to start with it. What would be the best way to go about this conversion?
CVI 2010 always supports the Assistant Conversion of Visual Studio to Visual Studio 2005/2008. We are not planning to add support for VS 2010 in a later version.
If you need a project to VS 2010 now, you can use the Visual Studio 2008 conversion wizard, and then upgrade the project VS 2008 for VS 2010.

Connect the Middle 2010 21.5 "iMac for mid 2011 21.5" iMac in target display mode
Hello
I looked for an answer to my question and I'm not 100% clear, so I ask your help please.
I have an iMac 21.5 "2010 middle which I want to connect to an iMac 21.5" 2011 mid (which I think the purchase) in order to have two screens. I know it can be done with these two models but the iMac 2010 has a Mini Displayport connector and the 2011 has a Thunderbolt connection, so I don't know if it's possible. I don't mind which screen is the main.
Any help is appreciated
Thank you
In fact, it can be done from the mid 2010 21.5 "iMac doesn't have a Thunderbolt port. See the information in use your iMac as a display with the target - Apple Support Display Mode

MacBook Pro Late 2011 startup questions - SMC reset necessary after each shut down.
I was asked to look at a friends end 2011 Macbook Pro.
Initially, it seemed dead. No power, no response. I did the Shift + Command + control + Power to try to reset the SMC nothing helps.
I opened the back and disconnected the battery and the magsafe. I help the power button down for 5 seconds. reconnected the dough tried power on and it didn't work until I plugged the magsafe. Ah ha I thought it, BUT. Once started it works very well, some check everything looks good and battery shows healthy with 70% of load.
I restart the machine and it starts fine. HOWEVER. I stop the machine and I'm back to square one. Power supply photo and battery connected.
So I rinse and repeat. battery disconnect power hold button wait 5 plug in back and then turn it on. As before it works only after the power supply was ALSO connected. to test this situation I tried again without connecting the battery and just the power supply. Since then only the battery was in, nothing until that I plugged the battery ALSO.
So the Macbook will start only after a stop if the battery and power are both removed, button / help for 5 then BOTH the power and battery are reconnected.
I've seen people with similar questions but no one seems the specific symptoms that it requires this reset each STOP but restarts not on the list.
Clues, help, correct?
See you soon
Paul
Hi deep:
Have you tried resetting the NVRAM?
Try reseting NVRAM. How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
Then try reseting SMC. Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support
Then, try a safe boot. Safe mode try if your Mac does not start-up
Also, see this help file. If your Mac will not turn on - Apple Support

Any one who knows what is wrong and how to fix it, help would be great.
The problem is probably due to the discrete GPU failure. Download gfxCardStatus2.3 and use it to disable the discrete GPU. It is of a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard replaced.

I want to update my Windows 7 Pro for Windows 10 - is - it possible on this computer?
Using Boot Camp or a virtual machine? It seems that you can not if you use Boot Camp.

Windows Live Mail 2011 research question
I have recently installed Windows Live Mail 2011 and since I installed it, I noticed that when I enter a word or name, or e-mail address in the search for a message function, it very often does not find the email (s) concerned. I come to find the message manually. On the old version of Live mail, everything worked fine.
Any ideas on what could be the cause and how to fix this problem?
BTW. My OS is W7 32-bit
Respectfully, Ronnie, who is not very useful. Windows Live Mail depends on Windows Search for his research works, so if it does not work, there is a problem with WS and not with WLMail. The question is quite on the topic in this forum, and Dave is not likely to get a quick settlement more in windowslivehelp.com.@Dave:
First things to check is that your storage folder is being indexed and if mail messages files are being indexed with the properties and content. In WLMail, locate your store folder by opening the worksheet Options (Ctrl-Shift-O), the Advanced tab, click Maintenance , and then store the fileopening. Note the path.
Open Indexing Options in the control panel (just type indexing options in the start search box). Click on the Edit button, navigate to your storage folder and ensure that the box is checked.
Click the Advanced button and open the tab file types ensure that the check box next to the eml and nws rss extensions are checked and that the description of filter shows Windows Live MIME filter. Click on each extension in turn and make sure that the properties of the Index and the content of the file is selected at the foot of the dialogue for each of them.If these settings are what they should be and you make changes, try solving the problems of search and indexing in the Panel. Start typing the search and indexing in the search box of the start up until you can see and select find and fix problems with Windows Search at the top of the results panel. Do not select the mail option; Windows Search considers Windows Live Mail messages as files, not e-mail.If after all that your searches don't work always, after the return.Noel

Why my sound button does not work on my Macbook Air? New
I stupidly clicked "Questioned solved" on my last thread, I'm sorry. Here's my problem:
I have a late 2010 13 inch Macbook Air and when I press on my sound button on my keyboard it does not to do (the image is appearing). Also, when I watch a video with my unpredictable sound helmet goes out and hangs my computer for a few seconds. How can I fix?
Carolyn Samit proposed that:
"Disconnect the headset and then see if the prohibitive icon disappears when you press F12 icon."
Also, open System Preferences > Sound , then select the output tab.
Make sure you have good sale selected device and the mute box is not checked. »
And I answered:
"I did what you said and selected the correct output device but curiously he still doesn't seem to work. The icon disappeared when I pressed the F12 key. You have any other suggestions? Thank you very much. »
Thanks if you can help.
