  I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch mid-2010. About once a week, monitors (one who is part of the laptop) and an external will turn grey and freeze. When I turned off the computer, it brings back me to the login screen (I'm under 10.11.5), but I can't move the pointer (whether with my Apple Wireless Mouse or trackpad) to select the icon for my login. After a few reboots, the computer takes care of the password reset function. And there, I can reuse the mouse, select Restart the machine, and I'm back on my way.

  The genius of Apple and I suspect that the problem is with the logic board. Unfortunately, Apple has more parts for MacBook Pro mid-2010. I contacted a few service centers certified Apple the kind told me; None of them can help either.

  You could contact a specialist to see what their requirement is to send you the

  computer while for a diagnosis appropriate; a specialist is the one who can do all the

  The logic board may not be a problem; might be some on the Board of directors or of one which

  attached to, such as the graphics processor. These older models are not

  so difficult for a specialist expert set. While the Mac is able to do so, is a good time

  for they provide labour expertise to swap upgrade replacement parts.

  They can test the feature set and should provide a guarantee for employment.

  Some of these companies repairs also restored the supply of older computers they fixed.

  The model was abandoned in February 2011. It is now classified by Apple as a "vintage product." This means that Apple will probably refuse to fix (see exceptions on the linked page.)   My MBP HD headed to the exit so I'll take the plunge and get a replacement SSD to install it.  Being not too tech savvie I'm trying to cover all the bases before starting the replacement so I think I'm OK to get to the old and a new one outside.

  I read that a clean install of Mac OS X is recommended.  The plan is to install the new SSD and connect the old HD the MBP for a speaker for the migration of files once the SSD has been formatted and installed operating system.  One of my questions is what OS can / should I install in the first place on the new SSD.  I have the Leopard installation disc that came with the MBP, I also have a Snow Leopard install disc I bought (this is the version 10.6.3).  Start with the Snow Leopard disc or do I have to install Leopard first?  I would get the new OS SSD up to version I'm currently on (10.7.5).

  My other question is around RAM.  As part of the upgrade, I plan to replace and max of RAM, I've seen is now 8 GB between the two slots.  I read what the maximum capacity to 8 as part of an update of the firmware.  So the question is: should I do all updates of OS before installing the RAM?  The MBP would difficult treat 8GB if the firmware update is not installed through the different software updates that will be needed once the OS is installed on the SSD?

  Replace the RAM can be done at any time. If you have already downloaded the firmware required, it has already updated your material and will not be lost when you replace the hard drive. However, according to Apple, your computer can manage only a 4 GB. I could be missing something...

  As far as your OS issue, the best thing to do is get the updated software to match the information that you are migrating back (to make sure no problem with migration). The best way to do it, is to download recovery disk wizard and install it on an extra USB key. This allows you to install Lion without having to install Leopard or Snow Leopard first. This will also use disk utility to format the new SSD correctly.

• I think to buy a new MacBook to replace my MacBook pro mid-2010, which still runs but becomes slow.  They say the current MacBook pro without retina display (which I don't think I need) is an old system and may be obsolete soon - true?

  I'm buying a new MacBook to replace my mid-2010 MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 duo, 4 GB of memory, which always runs, but becomes slow.   I don't think I need retina display (if I have a lot of photos and films on the subject), but I was told that the MacBook Pro without screen retina was an old system that Apple could not support much longer. Is this true?

  Apple only can answer such a question, and the terms of use for these forums discourage us discuss what Apple plans to do.

  I too have a MBP 2010.  I installed an SSD and that increased performance.  Consider that as an option.

  You may experience other problems that slows down your MBP.  Before commit you the important cash for a new MBP, examine the potential software problems that may be responsible for the poor performance.  With the SSD, my 2010 works better than the day he came out of the box.

• Internal optical drive does not not on the retina no MacBook Pro mid 2012

  So, I know there are a lot of discussions on this subject, but I can't find one for my problem. It is here,

  I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch mid-2012 not the retina. It has the Max 8 GB of RAM and i7 processor. The hard drive is 750 GB. The computer has also an internal optical drive. I can insert and eject the CD and DVD, but when I put in the player made a strong and unusual whirring or buzzing noise, not the normal silence and it becomes stronger and more quickly than the slower and quieter that the DVD or the CD will eject except it doesn't. This can continue indefinitely unless I have press and hold the eject button on the keyboard. The DVD is not scratched when I go out, and the player has worked only once on the last two times I tried to use it. • Update of the SSD in Macbook Pro mid 2014?

  I would like to upgrade my SSD (currently 512GB) something big in my Macbook Pro retina mid-2014.

  I did some research and got a little confused.

  Of after iFixit, it should be possible.

  But I am at a loss exactly what type and brand of SSD, I need to buy.

  Could someone please tell me the right pair?

  (Preference I can buy in Europe, perhaps even Germany.)

• Option key always down on the new MacBook Pro (mid-2010)

  I have a new MacBook Pro 15 i7 "with 8 GB of RAM. Illustrator seems to think that the option button is still held down. Forms always come from the Center and dragging objects with the pointer always their copy. This problem occurs with AI CS4 and CS5 trial HAVE. I don't have this problem in Photoshop or other applications of CS that I tried (ID, Flash). I tried to throw the com.adobe.illustrator.plist and the Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder.

  The keyboard Viewer (Preferences system-> language & text-> Input Sources-> keyboard & Viewer characters-> input menu-> show viewer from keyboard) does not show that the option key is held down.

  I use an external USB (aluminum Apple keyboard) extended keyboard. It also happens with the built-in the laptop keyboard.

  Is that what someone else with this model having this problem?

  I see that your question can be model specific or related material as a problem with the option key is also present in other places. You could try uninstalling/reinstalling Illustrator, removing the custom of bad cache files, as well as the files preferably before you start, if you have a brand new Virgin facility. See if that helps. If not, you could try this first, create or logging in as another user, and see if the same thing is happening.

  

  

• Replacing the battery MacBook Pro Mid 2010

  Hi all;

  I bought a MacBook 2010 mid Pro 13 "(2nd hand). The camera is great and has been well supported. Only problem is the battery - it runs out and cool in an hour or two. However, he begins by saying there about 04:30 hrs.
