latest malware attack? What should I do to protect my computer?
Does anyone have suggestions in how to protect computers of this latest attack from malware which claims the FBI will prevent computers access to the internet?
You are being confused by the reports. This isn't an attack "later." It's called malware that has been around for centuries. The reason why the FBI is blocking so he knows are infected the computer. The malware redirects an infected PC to a site to know that the FBI is now in control. If you are infected and that your computer is you redirecting it is the only time where you have to worry about this particular malware. Otherwise, if you already have an antivirus and anti-malware software programs in place, you should be fine.

A woman with an Indian accent called saying she was with Microsoft and I had not answered their many urgent emails on my virus in my computer and she called for help. I can't believe I fell for this point but finally woke up and realized it sounded funny and hung to the top. But I did not have to look at my computer via the website ammyn. I do not buy anything. I just ran the full check of Windows Security Essentials. What should I do?
It's a tough call. For the most part, these scammers are simply interested to bill you for your non-existent problems and then sell you a costly "contract of service" rather than actually steal information on your part.
On the other hand, let you someone have total control over your computer and even if you could probably see everything that was done, he could well be activity past in the background a copy of your files. Usually, however, all they do is look at the event viewer where they can surprise highlighting the 'mistakes' and 'warnings' (which virtually every Windows computer displayed in the event viewer) and thus convince you to buy their services to 'fix '.
At a minimum, I suggest to change all your name of user and password login information for whatever sites you visit, especially for banking sites or credit card. If you are really interested and you keep financial information on your computer, you might want to act like your portfolio, including your credit card has been lost or stolen: contact your financial institutions and change your account information.
IMO, it is unlikely that no matter what malware 'backdoor' or another was left in this event, but if you are concerned that, really, the only way is to be sure to do a complete "clean" installation of Windows. For most people who have computers that were purchased with Windows pre-installed, this means (a) back up your personal files, (2) to restore the computer to its "fresh from the factory" State by using some mechanism to do so provided by the manufacturer; (3) painstakingly updated day Windows to the current service pack and post-service pack updates; (4) reinstall any programs that were installed after that you bought the computer (using the original installation media) and then update these programs according to needs; and (5) restore your personal files.

Since the upgrade to Windows 10 and Creative Cloude 2015 (about the same day...), my pen (Intuos 5 Touch) is so much trolling and does more work with it. I downloaded the latest drivers. What should do? Thank you, Dany
Hi Dan,.
Please ensure that your Pen drivers are up-to-date. (check the manufacturer's Web site)
Also, what exact version of Photoshop and Lightroom are you using?
Search for graphics card drivers update as well.

This morning I opened the email m and there was one that looked like it came from apple... I clicked it and a gray screen appeared with a voice that tells me to call the number 888 a1. I can't get rid of the email. Can I get rid of it by stopping? In the message my access to my hard drive appears and asks me to enter the password etc... I didn't get this because I want to make sure that it does not allow malware to enter my hard drive like that. Please help me with what I can do. The upgrade from Vista to Windows 7
I just bought Windows 7 upgrade Windows Vista. I get the error message: operation is not supported on this platform. What should I do to get this latest version in my computer?Have you tried to do an upgrade installation or a custom installation? A custom installation requires you to back up your files and settings with Windows Easy Transfer and then reinstall everything after installing the new. If an update install does not install work, you need to do a custom.
In addition, a Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade will not work and you get a message from a platform if you have bought a UA and tried to use it with Vista. Vista upgrade requires a detail, a copy in the Windows 7 box.
