  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

  Hi all

  I use a HP 8 Pro 7600el (Italian version) that I had updated to KitKat by downloading the update.zip to site Web from HP (version 1.01.01) and installation of the recovery image.

  All this is fine for a few months until yesterday when Android said that an update was available.

  I started the update, when restarting, after awhile while the guarded Tablet crushing, the update failed with a generic "Update error".

  I restarted the Tablet and Android started, but all applications, including native Android, keep crashing (tons of pop-up windows 'app XXX has stopped').

  To solve the problem, I tried already:

  -Cleaning of the cache in the menu boot recovery: don't not fixed

  -Restoration of the factory in the menu boot recovery settings: not fixed (now the Tablet keeps giving messages 'app has stopped' and also the application assistant startup crashes)

  -Install the latest update.zip I got SD: failure ' cos update.zip is an older version of the current

  I tried to download the last update.zip (1.01.01) on the HP website, but it is not available.

  I see 3 options, 2 are versions JellyBean, third and most recently who should be KitKat shows only a null pointer.

  I tried downgrading to the last JellyBean but I get an "error to say" and the process stops.

  Can someone please:

  -Tell me where I can find the last image of KitKat for the Tablet?

  -Offer another way to restore the Tablet?

  have managed to fix the tablet on mine.

  Will give just a quick update in case anyone else is interested/had the same problem.

  Fortunately, I had left the "update.zip" with the image of KitKat I had originally downloaded from HP website for updating the tablet.

  The "update.zip" could not be installed directly from the boot environment of recovery because of the tablet with a newer version of the software installed.

  I noticed that the "update.zip" contained, among other things, a file of "recovery.img" containing the image to boot from the recovery partition.

  The process was as follows:

  (1) connect the tablet to the PC via USB and boot in the recovery environment

  (2) use the application of Protocol and "fastboot.exe' 'fastboot' of Google to empty completely the 'recovery', 'System' and the scores of 'user data '. Also the recovery partition must be deleted ' cos it seems that the recovery somewhere environment stores the information about the latest version installed and prevents so the "update.zip" must be installed.

  (3) restart the tablet that do not have any valid system or boot from recovery will enter emergency start mode

  (4) using the Protocol 'fastboot' flash 'recovery.img' to 'update.zip' in the "recovery" partition

  5) restart in mode 'recovery '.

  (6) the recovery mode install the "update.zip" KitKat image using the method "sideload". This time it works ' cos the recovery environment has no information on previously installed SW versions.
