  Let me first explain how I assumed that the switch between headset and speakers should work:

  If I have no headset connected and turn on the music, then I heard if via the speakers.   Hello, I went from my output to a DAC using the Audio MIDI Set up and everything has worked. Then when I switched the output to the speakers they would not play any alerts - alerts were never neglected internal. Regular audio won't play - just no alert. -I looked into his system - it - preferences interface, everything looks good still does not.
