Launch of non-functional quick toolbar. Folder of application data for this profile accidentally moved to the Cookies folder, cannot move to the right place and make quickstart functional again.

Toolbar start fast is the only app that has problems.  I can't start him because I have no permissions.  As this occurred, the Application Data folder somehow finished in the Cookies folder for this account.  It cannot be carried over to the location appropriate without disabling the Quick Launch toolbar.

Hi lcynicl,

See if the paths to the shell in the registry file is correct. If this isn't the case, you may need to restore those which is incorrect. Use the table here:

  • Is there a way I can restore my backup profile that I took from a folder (for example Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\)

    Before re-installing Firefox 19, I took by mistake backup my profile in a folder - C:\Documents and Settings\garan14\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and not from C:\Documents and Settings\garan14\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles.

When installing, I chose option "Delete old profiles" and I don't see any old folder under C:\Documents and Settings\garan14\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles profile.

However, I have a lot of important data stored under that profile that has now been deleted.

Is there a way I can restore the old profile data? (PS: as stated above, I have a backup of the profile folder that is located under the Local Settings folder)

I'm in a desperate need for aid. Pls reply as soon as possible.

Firefox stores only cache files to the location of the local settings and not the files in the main folder of the Firefox profile.

There is no need to save this place in local contexts in any case.

The main folder of the Firefox profile is in "C:\Documents and Settings\ < user > change Data" on Windows XP.

If you have deleted your personal data during the uninstallation of Firefox and do not have a backup then your only option is to use an undelete utility to see if you can recover this profile folder.

    Hello Cassandra.

I hope that makes sense and it helps you to solve the problem.

  • Start the list of all menu Programs - folder accidentally moved to the desktop

I just got a new computer with Windows 7.  I accidentally dragged a folder in the "all programs" list in the start menu on the desktop.  I just wanted to create a shortcut, but accidentally moved the folder instead.  How do I restore the folder to the list of "all programs"?

    Hello

That is not a problem and it is easy to retrieve.  You are going to want to go where the files and folders are stored in your Start menu and the best way to do this is to open your Start menu, go to all programs and on another folder with the right mouse button and choose explore.  This will put you in the location wherever the folders and shortcuts are stored.  From there, just move up a level and move the backrest to the workstation and you should be good.

For more information, there are 2 folders that make up what you see in the menu start, a common (or public) and a private.  Both get merged to give a smooth.

The common (public), one is to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start start\program

and the private sector, one is C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Files above are below hidden folders so you will need to first enable the option to view hidden folders and files, but the right click Explore method is the best way to get there anyway.

Finally, if you want to create a shortcut to a folder on the start menu, find it and then right click and choose "send to".  Under this menu, you will see an option to create a shortcut on the desktop.

    I hope this helps.

Good luck & enjoy Windows 7

  • Accidentally moved all the pictures into folders separated in single folder!

So somehow I managed to pass all my photo of my work out of their respective files, well organized files in a single folder. I can't figure out how. All 15 588 of them... now unorganized in one folder. 'Undo' didn't work and I tried to restore from a backup of the catalog without success. Also... my backup Time Machine refuses to restore because the drive is messed up, so it's useless. Lightroom has still all recognized records in the catalog, but the pictures are missing, (?) and not just "d - link" them and point Lightroom for photos in the new folder.

So guess my question is, can I I go to each folder in lightroom and physically move all the photos that were previously in this NEW folder in this folder on the system automatically? It seems that lightroom recognizes the folders used to exist here... just can't find them. Well, I know that they are all in a folder and would like Lightroom to move them all back into their appropriate folders. In this way, when I search a folder on my computer (not in lightroom), the folder that contains the photos that used to be there. I hope this makes sense. I use Lightroom 4.1 on a Mac OSX version 10.8.3. Thanks for any help.

My apologies in advance: I did not read all of the background messages.

    If I understand correctly:

    * Folder structure in Lightroom is intact (but the folders/files are considered to be 'missing').

    * Folder on the disc structure has been flattened (all files are now in a single folder, instead of a tree).

If that's true, this plugin will solve your problem:

  • I have Dreamweaver 5.1 and I'm launching the browser widget and get this error "could not get the Widget feed.» Make sure that you are connected to the internet. Unknown error. »

I see they recommend I'm going to https://creative.Adobe.com/addons to get the widget browser but I see nothing in this Web page regarding a browser widget. Can someone explain to me what I have to do. I'm almost done with a Web site with dreamweaver 5.1 and to redo the CC would mean that I have to relearn a lot of the program and I have a client waiting for this Web site. I'm very grateful for any help I can get. Thank you

Adobe pulled the plug on the Widget browser a long time ago.  The servers so that they are more active.

Use the page Adobe modules.  Or use a jQuery plugin.

  • T61: cover and non-functioning lights switch problem

My T61 (type 6465) is coming for three years and has recently developed some minor but annoying flaws. The main problem is that the most reliable laptop will remain suspended: closing the lid does not have to be suspended in the first place and if I use Fn + F4 to suspend, it seems that clutching the back edge of the laptop (that you could do to pick it up and put it in a bag) cause him back on the suspension. Accordingly, I found the cell phone on when you remove it from my backpack, even if I was sure that I had hung before storing.

The other symptoms, is that some of the green lights have stopped working. Namely, the green lights of power, battery, caps lock num and caps lock seem to have stopped running, but wireless, hard drive and activity to suspend lights continues to work. In addition, the orange battery light works very well.

Other that the system continues to work perfectly: the battery is still good and maintain the load, the power supply charges the battery and powers the system properly. Power management applications show the correct information about the power status of the system (i.e. on current AC or battery-operated).

I try to work if this is likely to be a hardware failure or a software problem initially. Has anyone seem to similar symptoms, or may suggest that the problem could be based on my description?

    See you soon,.

    -Mark.

non-functioning lights is most likely a hardware problem.

  • How can I add a space to the toolbar in Firefox 29,0? I can enter a space between the empty boxes and move around, but where can I find an icon 'space' to ADD a space?

It has been useful in previous versions of Firefox to be able to add (a) space (s) between the icons in the toolbar to create groups of icons and/or icons separated by class or function. In Firefox 29,0, I discovered how 'capture' (drag and drop) a space of areas in the open toolbar and move it to another part of the toolbar. But how do I add spaces to the toolbar? In previous versions, there used to be an icon of the space in the whole of the Customize menu that could drag it to the toolbar for this purpose.

Sorry, the new UI Australis has abolished the 'space' to customize. There may be an extension for adding 'space', but I'm not aware of it.

  • How to get the right folder name/location during import?

I can't get LR 3.x to import into the desired folder structure, as I used to do with

LR 1.x and 2.x.  I am trying a structure that looks like this:

    http://content.screencast.com/users/jfriend/folders/Jing/media/2e238e71-feda-4a1d-adb1-65124c611838/2011-02-26_2200.png

I want LR to automatically create a folder with the timestamp in it and find the right year and then let me in the last part of the name of the folder that identifies the object, prior to importation.  So far, all I can get is the name of the file generated automatically by date with no ability to edit or a folder name completely custom where I locate correctly and typing the entire name, including the date.  In LR 1.x and 2.x, it was really easy.  LR suggest the name of the folder (or multiple folder names if the images extend over several dates) with the date in it, and I could double-click it to add the additional designation prior to importation.  Could not find any way to do in LR 3.x.  Does that mean, that I have to do the import, wait it ends and then go back and manually rename each file that it created.  It's especially a pain when there are several folders (through multiple dates) or when my backup program has already hit and made a backup of the date generated automatically until I come and rename it manually.

So my question is, how do I get LR for the right folder name based on the date in the folder location good auto suggestion and I would like to add something on the end of it before importing?  It was very easy in the import of LR1.x and 2.x.

    jfriend0 wrote:

He slipped under the radar when again the new window import. If all goes well, we will get it back in the next major update. In the meantime. You can add the importation of additional text in right click on the folder name and then selecting rename in the context menu.
